Discussion What video game left you feeling empty after you finished it?

For me, it’s NieR:Automata.
It’s one of those games that feels like a dream you don’t want to wake up from. Everything about it feels special to me: the atmosphere, the music, the characters, and the philosophical themes that make you question what it really means to be human.
There’s something almost surreal about the whole experience. When it’s over, you’re left with so many emotions and thoughts that you don’t really know what to do with them.
It’s not just about finishing a game. It’s about saying goodbye to an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll.
What game made you feel this way?

Discussion I just realized something, with the death of physical games, comes the death of people being able to wrap up physical games as gifts.

This sucks! Some of my happiest moments in my life have been seeing my friends open christmas and birthday gifts from me. I got super happy memories of gifting a friend Assasins Creed, and Skyrim. I remember how excited I was to find new copies at an affordable amount on a website.

So I did this wrong the first time. Really only changed to the underrated section. I didn’t go with my gut the first time for the underrated section since I found that to be a hard choice. I originally chose Portal 2, but I didn’t know how popular it was on PC until the previous comments 😅people I knew just didn’t like it, and that influenced my opinion on it! Something to work on.
Anyway, let me know what you think!
Honorable mention in the underrated: Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time for the Nintendo DS..the story behind it is wild. I have stories for each of my choices, let me know if you’d like to hear them!

Discussion What do you think of when you think of the most emotionally compelling, story rich experiences from the last 2 console generations?

No remasters please. I love a lot of ps2 and ps3 era games, but let's try to stay focused. Remakes are fine.

If you're gonna respond to complain about something being or not being on my list, and only to complain about this, I prefer you just leave me alone.

This is what I think of:

The Witcher 3 immediately comes to mind. Ciri is the best hugger in gaming

I also think of Breath OF The Wild, mostly because my previous partner at the time watched me go through it, and pushed me to finish it. I finished like a week before the sequel came out. If I get another partner that loves to watch people play games, I wanna go through this and similar games.

I also think of Weird West. Best most recent indieish game I've played.

I also think of FF7Remake and Tales Of Arise. I can count on 2 hands the amount of rpgs from japan I've enjoyed in the last 15 years, but these are really something special to me.

I also think of Yakuza Kiwami. One of most emotionally compelling protagonists and antagonists in gaming. Like A Dragon is also emotionally compelling.

Although I'm bad at Baldur's Gate 3, I won't deny that this game one of the most emotionally compelling cast of characters. I especially love Astarion and Laezel.

So much to play, can not decide, nor can I waste this half day off work with chores or responsibilities. What's everyone playing? I got plague tales to beat, yotei & first light DLCs, NMS expedition, need beat Ace 7 but god do I wanna buy control and Ace 8 but money. Would you kindly avoid suggestions of 'touch grass' idk what that is.
