After 3 years and 3 months I'm replacing my battery
The back of my S23 started lifting up, so I decided to replace my battery. Before that, I checked my battery health from the dumpstate log (*#9900#), and here are the results:
The battery on my phone currently has approximately 1114 charge cycles.
Samsung typically rates these batteries for around 500-800+ cycles before they drop significantly below 80% health.
Battery Health (ASOC): 94% (Remaining capacity vs original design capacity)
Battery SOH (BSOH): 98 (Battery State of Health (Samsung’s internal value))
Battery Usage: 111,445 (Accumulated discharge units (related to cycle wear))
Max recorded temperature: 47.2°C (Highest temperature the battery has reached)
Max recorded current: 5001 mA (Peak current seen)
First Use Date: 2023-07-28 (When the battery was first used)
I hope that with a new battery, my phone lasts another three years. I am super happy with my S23, as I have never had any issues and it is the best phone I have ever had. I have worked as an Android developer for over 12 years and have had countless phones, but only this one has survived this long.
