Brand New Lexus GX 470 Hybrid Front Bumper
Hey there folks. We've got a brand new, never installed Front bumper from Lil B’s Fabrication for a Lexus GX 470. Item has been freshly powder coated in black. Comes with all mounting materials. We mistakenly ordered the bumper thinking it was for our 460 but it's the 470 model and consequently will not fit our vehicle. Trying to find a home for it locally (SEATTLE AREA) before sending it back. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your bumper, now’s your chance without having to pay any shipping costs or extra fees. $1500 and it’s yours!

Headlight Help
Can anyone suggest how I can fix my headlight housing without spending an arm and leg?
I’m assuming there is a seal issue that is letting in moisture. I get my girl washed 1-2x a week so suspect that is the issue. I don’t think it’s an exterior issue because it’s never parked outside and the other housing is crystal clear. The mechanic wants to charge me $800 to replace the housing. Can anyone let me know if drying it out/ cleaning the inside and re-sealing it is a DIY project and degree of difficulty? I’m fairly handy but don’t typically do work on my car aside from changing bulbs and airing my tires 😂.

alignment help
just got used spc arms with new bushings and ball joints, they fit fine. i raised the front of my car to level it with the rear and now im at maybe 2.8 inches in the front. eibach stage 1, second level on the clip. can’t get my alignment right. first i had -1.5 and -.5 camber and horrible caster so i got the spcs. well here are my alignment specs as of today with the new arms and 3” lift. shop said bring it back in a week and we’ll get the camber fixed once it settles but i dont see how much more it has to give unless im dead wrong? could the caster setting (washer orientation) on the ucas affect the camber? it’s at the factory position D right now from spc, which i believe is a built in 2 deg of caster. any ideas on what my issue is? here’s pics for reference (pass side first, driver side second) along with my alignment specs
Dreaded Pressure solenoid stuck off 2013 GX 460
2013 GX 460 190k miles
For those who’ve had this and replaced all of the transmission solenoids and it came back…
What’s next was your solution? I’m at a loss
Thanks in advance.

Peer Review These
I saw something similar in the Toyota Tacoma groups and thought I would make my own for the GX. (Wife drives a ‘14 Taco, I’m in a ‘06 GX) Anybody see any typos or recommended changes? Which one is better? I am by no means an expert in these categories. TIA

Fix for weathertech cargo mat?
I’m assuming it’s because it doesn’t stick to the carpet in the back so it slides back and gains memory of it creased?
Anyone have a solution or similar problem?

Trac and stability control lights in after SAIS bypass
So I’m getting my 2009 gx470 together. Just had a light for one of the air pump valves sticking open. I got the Hewitt gen 2 3 valve kit. Installed it last night and when I started it up the trac, stability, skid light were on, but no check engine. AI said it was because I disconnected the battery and the car lost where the wheel center was and to do a zero calibration reset. I didn’t see much about that other than from AI. Is it common or should I be looking elsewhere.

OEM UCAs with 2" inch lift
Anyone do this on their GX? I'm planning a 2" Dobinson IMS lift and might keep stock uppers if recommended? If not what else would you pair with? Don't think need the adjustable with that short of lift and hear the SPCs suck. Mine may need replacing anyway so looking for recommendations if that's the case in my scenario. What everyone else running on this setup and do you like it?

‘05 GX470 Front Lower Control Arms - OEM Part Numbers, no KDSS
Can someone help me confirm that this is all I need to complete this job of replacing my front lower control arms? I threw in some new hardware just to freshen up down there.
I’m trying to get this thing back on the road since the ball joints are shot, but I want to keep the cost low as possible too.
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

Ditch Light Brackets
There was a guy on here that posted some brackets his friend was making that mount to the mirrors on a GX470. I can't find the post but if your the guy from the post can you drop the link to order some. Thanks man!
Are Beadgrips worth it?
I know they allow extra airing down but I’m interested to know what the community thinks from their experience how useful that is in actual use.
Is the lackluster look(in my opinion) and sometimes extra price worth it to you guys who own it? or even those who don’t own it

Pakmule Scout 4" on GX470?
Is anyone running a Pakmule on their GX470? Seems like the 4" riser is the way to go to clear the exhaust, but I can't find any examples that show the rear hatch will clear the cargo carrier.

Factory hitch receiver height on a 2017 GX460 + ball mount for a U-Haul Auto Transport
Hey all, I'm about to tow a U-Haul Auto Transport with my stock 2017 GX460 and want to make sure I get the right ball mount before pickup day.
Setup:
- 2017 GX460, standard coil rear suspension (no rear air suspension)
- Factory Lexus Class IV hitch (2" receiver)
- Top of the receiver measures ~16" from the ground (unloaded)
- Cargo: small car, probably around 2400lbs
- 4 people in the GX plus some luggage in the back
16" seems a bit low to me for a GX, so first question: if you have the factory hitch, what do you measure from the ground to the top of the receiver tube? Just want to rule out a measuring mistake or saggy rear springs.
U-Haul says their couplers sit around 18", so my plan is a CURT 45050 (2" rise / 4" drop) flipped to the rise position with a 2" ball. My thinking is that with passengers, luggage and tongue weight the rear will squat a bit, leaving the trailer level or slightly nose-down.

Help: Replaced HID/Xenon with Halogen Headlight Housing (2010 gx460)
I was involved in a front end collision earlier this year (snow storm, car swerved in front of me on highway) and destroyed both headlights. I ordered halogen headlight replacements on accident and the body shop installed them as well as new bumper and other parts.
While I now know how to disable the AFS headlight warning on the dash, I still can’t wire up my low beams. Can I (or rather an experienced auto electrical shop like a sound shop) wire the HID harness to my halogen headlights?
Does anyone have guidance on this? I couldn’t find anything specifically about HID/xenon to halogen and I don’t have the expertise to be able to grasp doing it without instruction.
Of course if this is an elaborate effort I will just get the expensive xenon headlights. However since they are $1,000+ even for aftermarket, I’m hoping for a DIY or $200-400 shop cost.
Separately, if someone has used Xenon headlights in good condition let me know. Or if there is somehow a cheaper alternative that is decent quality.

bmc
is it safe to cut this far? dialing in clearance before welding a plate in but i’d be more comfortable with a bit more clearance. passed the compression test with a forklift but with little space (no pics). probably not enough for irl scenarios

TEQ Customs headlights, fracture lines?
Installed some new headlights from TEQ less than three months ago. Over the weekend, I noticed small hairlines on the inside of the lens. Definitely not outside, can't feel them and from certain angles you can tell that they are on the inside of the lens. Anybody know what could be going on? I've contacted TEQ about this so waiting for a response. My wife got these for my birthday and I haven't told her about these yet cause she'd be very bummed out for how much these cost. Anybody have experience with these lights or any input?
FYI RockAuto 555 Stabilizer Links
If you are looking for 555 stabilizer links the right side doesn't show up on RockAuto when you use car search, but left side does. Right side also doesn't show as compatible for GX470, but this is definitely compatible. Just thought I'd share since its almost half the cost than at NAPA.
