Changes to the sub NSFW
I want to give everyone advance notice that there will be a series of significant changes coming as the moderation team works to overhaul the subreddit as a whole. These changes will include updates to the rules, moderation standards, and the overall appearance and organization of the community.
The primary goal is to return this subreddit to what it was originally intended to be: a place where artists can hone their craft, experiment, share their work, exchange feedback, and help one another improve.
Over time, the subreddit has drifted away from that purpose and has increasingly begun to resemble a general AI NSFW image board rather than a community focused on improving the quality of AI-generated artwork. Starting immediately, we will be enforcing the existing rules more strictly while we work on the larger rule overhaul.
This means that posts primarily centered around fetish content may be removed at moderator discretion. Examples include pregnancy-focused content, extreme or grotesquely exaggerated body proportions, excessive bulging or distortion, and similar material where the fetish itself is clearly the primary focus of the image.
We will also be taking a stricter approach toward low-quality NSFW content and high-volume repetitive posting. This may include images with severely broken anatomy, warped or unfinished elements, poor composition, obvious generation failures, or large numbers of posts featuring essentially the same pose, composition, or concept with only minor character changes.
This does not mean that every image needs to be perfect. Experimentation, mistakes, unusual ideas, and works in progress are all part of improving as an artist. The distinction we are trying to make is between people actively experimenting and developing their work versus simply producing large volumes of repetitive, low-effort generations without meaningful refinement.
The purpose of this subreddit is to encourage people to improve their artwork, not stagnate by pumping out increasingly large volumes of low-quality content.
Moderation decisions involving quality, repetitive content, or fetish-focused material will ultimately be made by the moderation team based on the context of the post and the overall posting pattern of the account.
More detailed rule changes and cosmetic updates will be announced as they are finalized.
If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding these changes, please respond here or contact the moderators directly. We are happy to hear community feedback and address concerns as the overhaul moves forward.

Newly updated rules going into effect NSFW
Rule 1 — Keep It Relevant to AI Furry Art
All posts must relate directly to AI-generated or AI-assisted furry artwork, the creation process, prompting, workflows, tools, techniques, experimentation, or improvement of that artwork.
r/FurAI is intended to be a community for creating, sharing, discussing, and improving AI furry art.
Unrelated content may be removed.
Rule 2 — Tag NSFW Content Appropriately
Both SFW and NSFW artwork are permitted, but all nudity, sexually suggestive material, or other mature content must be marked NSFW.
Do not attempt to avoid NSFW tagging through cropping, misleading thumbnails, titles, or other means.
Repeated failure to properly tag mature content may result in further moderator action.
Rule 3 — NSFW Is Allowed; Fetish-Focused Content Is Not
r/FurAI is an art community that permits NSFW content, not a general-purpose porn or fetish subreddit.
Tasteful nudity and adult sexual themes are permitted within reason. However, content where a fetish is clearly the primary purpose of the image may be removed at moderator discretion.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Pregnancy-focused or breeding-fetish imagery
- Extreme inflation, expansion, or distension
- Grotesquely exaggerated breasts, genitals, stomachs, muscles, or other body proportions
- Extreme bulging or tumor-like anatomical exaggeration
- Explicit penetration or intercourse
- Content primarily created around bodily-function fetishes
- Similar highly fetishized material
Tasteful masturbation, toys, and limited sexual fluids may be permitted provided the image does not otherwise violate this rule.
There will inevitably be edge cases. Final determination of what constitutes fetish-focused content rests with the moderation team.
Rule 4 — Respect the Community
Treat artists, commenters, and other community members with basic respect.
Harassment, personal attacks, discriminatory behavior, threats, targeted hostility, or sexually aggressive comments toward other users are not permitted.
NSFW artwork being posted does not give anyone permission to make invasive, creepy, or sexually explicit comments toward its creator.
Critique the artwork, workflow, prompt, technique, or idea—not the person behind it.
Rule 5 — Constructive Criticism Is Encouraged; Bad-Faith Attacks Are Not
r/FurAI is explicitly a pro-AI-art community.
Constructive discussion about AI tools, models, ethics, limitations, prompting techniques, workflows, and the weaknesses of generated artwork is welcome.
Coming here simply to antagonize users, declare that AI artists are not artists, accuse members of theft without meaningful discussion, derail threads with anti-AI arguments, or attack people for using AI is not.
Bad-faith anti-AI participation may result in removal or a ban.
Criticism intended to help someone improve their work is encouraged. Hostility intended simply to discourage people from creating is not.
Rule 6 — Quality, Refinement, and Effort Matter
The purpose of r/FurAI is to help people improve their artwork.
Posts containing obvious unresolved generation failures may be removed at moderator discretion. Examples include:
- Severely malformed or duplicated limbs
- Broken hands, paws, faces, eyes, or anatomy
- Unintentional merged characters or body parts
- Major perspective or structural failures
- Obvious unfinished areas
- Severe warping or generation artifacts
- Fundamentally broken composition
- Other obvious defects that could reasonably have been corrected through regeneration, inpainting, editing, or additional refinement
Artwork does not have to be perfect.
Experimentation, unusual compositions, learning attempts, works in progress, and imperfect images posted genuinely for critique or assistance are welcome.
The distinction is between someone working to improve and simply dumping unrefined generations into the subreddit.
NSFW submissions will receive particularly strict enforcement under this rule to prevent the subreddit from becoming a stream of raw AI pornography.
Rule 7 — No High-Volume or Repetitive Image Spam
Do not overwhelm the subreddit with large quantities of substantially similar images.
This includes:
- Repeatedly posting essentially the same pose
- Minor variations of the same generation
- Swapping characters while leaving everything else nearly identical
- Posting numerous images from the same generation batch as individual posts
- Repeating the same composition or concept continuously
- Posting large quantities of low-effort outputs in a short period
Different characters do not automatically make images meaningfully different.
If you have several related images worth showing, consider combining them into a gallery rather than creating a separate post for every generation.
Moderators may remove repetitive content or excessive posting patterns even when individual images would otherwise be acceptable.
The goal is quality over quantity.
Rule 8 — Do Not Modify Another Artist's Work Without Permission
Do not post recognizable artwork created by another person that you have modified using img2img, AI filters, generative editing, or similar tools without the original artist's permission.
Using another person's artwork as direct input and presenting the resulting modification as your own work is prohibited when done against the wishes of the copyright holder.
References, inspiration, discussion, and transformative workflows will be evaluated separately based on context.
When in doubt, use artwork you created yourself or material you have permission to use.
Rule 9 — Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted:
- Sexual or suggestive depictions of minors
- Cub, loli, or shota sexual content
- Bestiality or sexual content involving real animals
- Rape or non-consensual sexual content
- Extreme gore
- Sexualized real-person imagery
- Content prohibited by Reddit's Content Policy
- Any other illegal or prohibited material
Characters depicted in NSFW artwork must be clearly adults.
These restrictions apply regardless of whether the content is generated, drawn, edited, or otherwise created.
Serious violations may result in an immediate ban.
Rule 10 — No Paywalls, Aggressive Advertising, or Commercial Spam
r/FurAI is a community for artwork and artistic development, not a storefront.
Do not aggressively advertise:
- Paid commissions
- Subscription services
- Patreon or similar paywalls
- Paid galleries
- Commercial AI-generation services
- Merchandise
- Repeated external promotional links
Reasonable attribution and unobtrusive watermarks are allowed.
Watermarks must not substantially obstruct the artwork.
Occasional links relevant to a genuine discussion may be permitted, but accounts primarily using the subreddit as an advertising funnel may be removed.
Moderator Discretion and the Spirit of the Rules
These rules cannot account for every possible image, workflow, fetish, generation failure, posting pattern, or edge case.
Moderators may remove content that technically skirts the wording of a rule while clearly violating its intent.
The guiding principle is simple:
r/FurAI exists to help people create better AI furry artwork.
We want experimentation, creativity, unusual ideas, technical discussion, constructive criticism, new artists learning the tools, experienced artists sharing techniques, and people genuinely trying to improve their work.
We do not want the subreddit to become another generic AI pornography feed built around fetish content, repetitive generations, raw outputs, and volume for volume's sake.
Make something interesting. Refine it. Experiment. Share what you learned. Help other people improve.
That's what this community is for.

I was really pleased with how this turned out. I've been fine-tuning my work flows and process so it's relatively minimal editing. Any feedback is appreciated!
