Community Announcement: OUR STANCE ON SPAM
After some long internal discussions within the community team, we decided to change the subreddit to only allow Original Content (OC).
The reasons for this change is to cut down on the endless spam and bots that run this subreddit. We have been facing this issue for many years and the users have been voicing their displeasure when faced with this type of content.
We tried combating this through multiple ways such as adding repost detection bots, anti-spam bots, human moderators, and restrictions on posting.
Unfortunately, this problem is still very present so we are changing the primary content type to only OC to help cut down on low effort spam like posts.
Original Content (OC) means NO ai, watermarked, stolen, or reposted content. You may film the video and edit it to give it a bit more of a humorous effect but the main goal is that we want you to share the funny things your little friends partake in!
If these adjustments do not work/harms the community then we will revert the changes but please send feedback in the comments so we can determine the next best steps for keeping this page in it's best form!
If you want to post content you think fits the subreddit but isn't OC then please direct yourself to our sister subreddit r/NatureBeingFunny!
Please help by reporting non OC content!

NEW RULE: NO POLITICAL POSTS
Luke here, your friendly neighborhood moderator. I have discussed with the rest of the team the potential banning of all political-related posts and the team has agreed with my proposal.
So, from now on **all political-related posts will be removed and the OP may be permanently banned**.
**An example of what would be removed:**

I'm not against the cause, my views are not important. I just don't want the subreddit to be filled with political posts, this place is for wholesome/funny content related to our animal friends.

One wanted to get out but the other pushes the door back on her! :)
So, this is happening on daily bases!
My older kitty, Picture, gets behind the door to snooze but baby (not such a baby any longer but is for us) Zelda gets on the other side and HOLDS the door! Like literally, VERY FIRMLY! π
It became almost a ritual, so Picky runs out all mad! Maybe Zell-Bell does it because Picky keeps on sneakily bite her when she least suspects it, do not know. π Picky always gets mad and bolts out in a sec!

From a scared, pitiable little kitten... to an arrogant big cat who doesn't even respect me. Look at his transformation! πΎπ
When I first adopted him, he was super shy, skinny, and scared of everything. I took care of him, gave him love, and fed him the best food... and now the arrogant guy acts like he owns the place and doesn't even respect me!
