Looking for cofounder

Hello, I'm the founder of DATAhelp, an early-stage Nigerian mobile app project.

I have already built a prototype using an AI builder and tested it on my Android phone. DATAhelp is designed to help people buy airtime and data, request assistance, and help other users directly.

I'm currently looking for a committed technical co-founder who can help review the existing prototype, improve the code, and work with me toward launching a reliable product.

I don't have funding to pay an upfront salary at the moment, so I'm looking for someone open to discussing an equity-based partnership with clear responsibilities and a written agreement.

Would you be interested in seeing the prototype and discussing the opportunity?

What’s the most expensive misunderstanding you’ve encountered in a software project?

Post image
1 Upvotes

A project can start with everyone agreeing on the requirements, yet end with a client saying, “That’s not what I meant.”

Words like simple dashboard, fast search, or user-friendly can mean different things to different people. If expectations aren’t clear before development begins, assumptions fill the gaps, and the cost often shows up during delivery.

I’m learning that good software development isn’t just about writing code. It’s also about asking the right questions, defining expected behaviour, and agreeing on what “done” actually means.

For developers, freelancers, and clients:

  • How do you clarify vague requirements before work starts?
  • Do you use acceptance criteria, mockups, or written specifications?
  • Who should take the lead in making sure everyone understands the goal?

I’d like to hear how others handle this in real projects. What has worked for you?

You cannot fix what you cannot see , how do you debug production issues?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Imagine your application suddenly starts behaving strangely. Users report problems, but there are no useful logs or alerts. You start changing code, hoping the next fix will work. One guess leads to another, and sometimes the fix introduces a new bug.

Now imagine an AI-powered feature returning incorrect answers without throwing an error. The application appears healthy, but the results are poor.

That’s why debugging needs more than code changes. It needs visibility.

Structured logs, error alerts, request tracing, and output quality checks help you understand what happened, where it happened, and why. Once you can reproduce a problem, you can isolate the responsible layer, fix it, and add checks to prevent it from quietly returning.

I'm exploring these ideas as I continue building my skills in AI and full-stack development.

I’m curious: What has helped you most when debugging a difficult production issue , better logs, monitoring tools, automated tests, or a systematic debugging process?

I’d love to hear what has worked for you.

Full Stack Developer - Building Real Products: CRM System & Social Media Management

Hey everyone!

I'm a full stack developer currently building real-world software products, and I'm looking to connect with international companies hiring Full Stack Developers for remote opportunities.

Rather than only building tutorial projects, I've been working on products designed to solve actual business problems.

1. Custom CRM System

I built a CRM system concept focused on helping businesses manage leads, organize their sales pipeline, and improve their follow-up process.

The goal is to help businesses prevent potential sales from slipping through the cracks because of disorganized lead management.

Areas of development:

  • Frontend: User interfaces, dashboards, forms, and responsive layouts.
  • Backend: Business logic, data processing, API integration, and server-side functionality.
  • Database: Structuring and managing business and customer data.
  • Deployment: Preparing and deploying web applications for real-world use.

2. PusatKonten.id — Content Research Platform

PusatKonten.id is a platform focused on helping creators and marketers research content and discover ideas for their content strategy.

Building this product has allowed me to explore product development, user workflows, data management, and the challenges of turning an idea into a functional web application.

My Full Stack Development Interests & Skills

  • Frontend development and responsive UI
  • Backend development and API integration
  • Database design and data management
  • Authentication and application architecture
  • Third-party integrations
  • Git, GitHub, and deployment workflows
  • Building practical SaaS products from the ground up

I'm particularly interested in opportunities where I can contribute to both frontend and backend development, collaborate with experienced engineers, and continue growing as a software engineer.

Portfolio / Project Links

I'm open to remote Full Stack Developer opportunities with international teams.

If you're a founder, engineering manager, or recruiter looking for a developer who enjoys building real products, I'd love to connect!

Thanks for checking out my work.

What’s your approach when an API fails in production?

Post image
0 Upvotes

An app can work perfectly in testing and still fail when real users arrive.

A payment API times out. A retry sends the request again. Suddenly, you risk duplicate charges or actions.

I’m learning that reliability isn’t just about handling errors—it’s about designing for failure with safe retries, idempotency, logging, and clear recovery paths.

What’s the trickiest failure you’ve dealt with in production? How did you prevent it from happening again?

Backend REST API in raw C. My CWEB framework

Hi guys. I am a 3rd year CSE student. Initially, I started doing some development in Django, explored Express a bit. They all felt very bloated, and slow to me. Also there is a big learning curve to those frameworks. Then I explored PostgREST, which was interesting to me as I could make the database be the backend of its own but that also comes with the database being really heavy and spiked latencies in requests and response times. Then I dove into Linux and system programming in C to first get good at writing C and second being able to do the architectural designing behind a software, memory management and everything.

I looked into the modern capabilities of the linux kernel and also the architectures behind big frameworks and servers like Nginx, Django, Go, Kore etc. Then I started the journey of making my own framework in C to make it faster, lightweight and secured. Also, very easy to write (just a handful of functions). I not only made the framework, I also made a website on that framework and then stress tested it on my own machine and several legacy server kernel virtual machines like Bookworm, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Bullseye.

Please do check them out. Links given below. I am a student. CSE's my passion. I am open for any learning and growing opportunities. If you love C and linux like I do, hit me up. I will be honoured. Thanks.
