ID Request Found in central Wisconsin, what kind of tadpole is this?
It could be a bullfrog but I think it looks more like a northern green frog or leopard from maybe.

Urgent help please! Impaction
Vets wont help till they see him and I cant make it to the vet for 2 days and my Little guy is not feeling well from impaction. He has only done a partial poo yesterday and has probably been struggling for longer unnoticed because I fed them three days ago and he was hiding after so I didn’t notice right away. Substrate is only eco earth and cocofibre. He seems to be VERY stressed by honey baths and I don’t know what else to do. Do I force him to do honey baths anyway? Anything else that can help?
To make it even harder for the guy he is also trying to shed through all of this 😢
Ive had him since he was a baby, and he only just reached maturity, I really don’t want to loose him like this

My toddler has been playing with this frog for the last 3 days or so. He has named the frog "Earl".
My wife and I have set this frog out 100+ yards from our house but he keeps coming back to play with my 3 y/o makeshift sandbox. I know it's not venomous, but is it safe to put in a terrarium, what does it eat, and anything else that I might need to know? Google says it could be one of like 6 species of frog/toad. We live in the Appalachian Mountains in Northern Georgia.

so i took a spadefoot toad inside, about 2 years ago or so. Placed them in one of my vacant terrariums to upload photo before releasing. They burrowed all the way down. disappeared. never found them again. I often will hear what sounds very similar to that species call, intermittantly during the night. Tonight , I took everything out of the terrarium to the bottom, went through all the soil and drainage rock layer. No bones, no remnants, no smell. There's no animals I've ever had that eat bone, nor that could fit this toad in their mouth.
one of my friends in my spiritual group said hes heard of similar instances, where an animal comes to a person, they find them, etc, and somehow they completely disappear.
I'm still in a bit of shock, but my spiritual side of my brain is like, oh yeah this makes sense, while my logical brain is like, completely confused.
Context, I don't use alcohol or any drugs (not even marijuana). I'm actually in recovery from addiction. I have no explaination.
I wanted to post this here as frogs and toads are a huge part of my practice and has been since I was little.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with an animal? Any feedback is appreciated.

Looking to ID this small frog/ toad in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii. I see them mostly at night. I have 3 dogs and am so scared of them running into cane toads and getting hurt. Does this frog pose a threat to dogs? They are small and plentiful. Maybe the size of a quarter. They jump away from my dogs if they go near them at night. My dogs haven’t seeked them out but they hide in the grass where my dogs sniff to go to the bathroom. Let me know.

so my little sister has two white tree frogs, and one of them has started growing this red bump on its arm????
we want to take it to the veterinarian soon, but before that i wanted to ask if anyone had any idea of what this could possibly be? i did some research and saw something about ranavirus but i also don’t want to make any assumptions…
moreover where we live there aren’t many “exotic” pets like frogs, so we are also concerned the vet may not be of any help… please advise! <33

Hello everyone, it's the guy from this and this post. I found estranged toad near my apartment complex and took her. At first i actually wanted to make her my pet, but then i read about it being not really a good idea. Then, while i was considering the proper time to let her go i started thinking "is she ill?" or "will it be warm again so she'll have more chances of survival?"... So i waited, and made my posts asking for advice. I even bring her some ground for comfort, in case she'll be here all week.
Today was a relatively warm day, and the weather forecast seems to be alright for the week, so i took her to the forested area and let her go. She did a backflip out of my hands and into the wild. I wish i knew if she'll be okay, but, well, one can only hope. Don't know if i did enough, but i don't think she'd survive in the city center, so hopefuly me bringing her at my place was a good call.
Thank you all for advices! It was my first venture into the "toad care", tho i didn't really did anything substantial.
Since i have no idea if she is a girl or a boy (despite me referring to her as "her" this entire time since toad in my language is actually femine word) i'll call her Morgan.
P.S. Morgan actually opened her eyes btw

I have had this frog in portugal on my land for 3 years. I have built him a pond. There is no water nearby so i have no idea where he first came from. He appeared in a bowl of stagnant water.
Is it possible to know if it is a male or female? I call it Mr. Bernard Sanders, but i don't know.
I feel bad because it is alone. Should i relocate him to a bigger body of water or find him a potential partner?

I always thought you were to welcome toads in your yards cause they eat insects. Well that's true but when they move in and have families it is an issue. I had been blaming the chipmunks that i had caught a glance of around my yard for the holes dug in the dirt around the base of the house and in the yard by the walkway , but doing some investigations and you tubes I found out that it was toad frogs ( dry land frogs not bullfrogs which live in water, for those who may not know the difference) that have dug deep holes (burrows) under the driveway and around recent repairs to our house foundation and under walkway in back yard, also beside walkway. I read they don't share burrows so I was able to collected 5 adults and 2 babies by rushing water in the hole openings causing them to flee, which because of the deep hole it caved in the dirt to the voids beneath. At night outside while they were catching bugs under the light over garage, was the easiest way to catch them. At that time they have exited their burrows to eat. I didn't want to hurt them so I relocated them to woods a good distance from my house. Now we will have to fill the holes and repair the damage around our house foundation. We plan on putting some garden cloth material on top of dirt and also spread some coffee grounds around and a solution of vinegar / water mixture sprayed around the area to discourage other toads from moving in. These were ideas gathered from the internet. Just beware when seeing toads around your home you may want to check for damaging holes. They can be destructive little creatures in some locations around your home but in other areas ok. Just a FYI.

Alright, so, I’m from Romania, and I went and caught a frog from the river next to my house. I need it for an experiment at college. She won’t be harmed at all, just checking her cloaca for some kind of organisms, then release where I found her. I caught it today, but need it Tuesday. Until then, she’s staying in an aquarium with plenty of space. Do I need to feed her until Tuesday for her to be fine? Not just alive, but fine. I don’t want to cause her more stress than I have to. If yes, then with what? I don’t want to buy bugs just for this. Do I start catching moths in my house? (Also I keep calling the frog her but I don’t actually know it’s gender)
Thanks for the help in advance!

So, i wrote this post yeasterday, and i will release her in the wild, but... why is her eyes are closed? Is she ill, is it some sort of parasite? Should i worry before let her go? Is it hibernation thing?

So, to make long story short, i found a toad outside of my apartment complex (have no idea how it got here, it's, like, city center); it was sleepy, apathetic. I helped her cross the road because of it, and then something got to me, and i took her.
Now i learned that, if it's a wild toad, then, i should let her go, since they isn't adapted to indoor life.
So, the question now is: should i just place her where i took her from (which is a middle of busy apartment complex road) or should i release her in wilderness, far from here? Maybe she has a family here (are they, like, solitary animals?)
What do you think?

Is this some sort of leopard frog color variant? They’re all over where I live but I’ve never seen one of this color before. North East USA

I hope y'all will like this, I thought this might be a nice place to share some old pictures I got of my Green and Golden Bellfrog in his tank (it's a lot less lush now, but still suitable). I'm gonna upgrade him to a vivarium soon, so hopefully he's a little happier then.
