Athletic Club de Bilbao is a soccer team based in the Basque Country, a small region in northern Spain, who have one of the most interesting quirks of any professional sports team in the world: they have a self-imposed unwritten rule that they will only sign players who were either born in the Basque Country, have Basque heritage, or came through the club academy of either themselves or another Basque team. Despite these self-imposed limitations, they have won the Spanish league championship 8 times, and are generally viewed as one of the most prestigious soccer teams in the world.

I wonder if it's possible to build a successful franchise by doing this in Football-GM. I think the closest equivalent to this in Football-GM would probably be only signing players who were either born or went to college in your team's home state. I would try it myself but I'm bad enough at the game without any extra challenges like this, but if any of you are bored and want to try something like this, I would be interested to know how it goes.

One of the recent updates appears to have introduced a bug/inconsistency to Football GM. It now defines rookies the way the NBA defines rookies, which is the first season that they play, not the first season that they are in the league. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to change this either, and it is affecting OROY and DROY awards. As you know, this is not the way the NFL defines rookies, and I hope it is fixed soon! Thanks for your hard work on this game.

Trying to create custom rosters and am wondering what strength does for a QB since I've seen values all over the place. does it affect like how far the qb can throw it or like how effective of a runner they are or what are we looking at here.

Does anybody have good settings that are realistic, or at least will make my league more like NCAA or high school, rather than professional? I'm trying to create a remake of my states high school football league, with the top 200 teams. But I want it to be similar to real HS or even collegiate sports were the players can only be on the team for a max 4 years (not including wtv bs irl players be doing to stay in college or wtv)
