Potential Roster for 2027
Since Massu and Quad's contracts are ending this year. It only makes sense that changes would most likely be mid and adc.
There is a lot of roster recommendations being posted on Cloud9 subreddit and one of the craziest recommendations I saw from disillusioned C9 fans coming out of a loss from Furia was Massu as their adc for next year.
If Massu does decides to leave, I hope to the most powerful being in the universe that PapaSmithy won't go for someone like FBI or Zven. I honestly think it's time for both players to retire and just leave the LCS to the new kids on the block. Starting with FBI, he looked so horrendous this year and a lot of people would directly lay the blame on Ignar and Palafox but all three of them just did not look good. He was such a vegan, I felt bad for Dardoch. As for Zven, he just doesn't have the hands anymore. He still has a massive following and a lot would love for him to be on a team, but seriously, I want everyone in this sub to watch the series against Lyon and TL on Spring Playoffs. He was absolutely tunnelvisioned from all the mechanical mistakes he was making; he just could not keep up.
If PapaSmithy is looking at this post, if Massu were to decide to leave the team, please try to get Cypher from T1 Challengers. He can speak English proficiently and has previously played with Gryffinn for T1 Rookies at LCK AS 2024.
As for midlane, this is really difficult because there can only be a maximum 2 imports. Quad has been on the team for so long and has helped the team to access quality scrims against Korean teams on their bootcamp in Korea. If Massu decides to go on C9, Shopify, or EU, then it would only make sense that the team ought to have an NA midlaner. This is where Toasty comes in. I am honestly underwhelmed with his performance in Prime League because he was getting carried by all 4 of his teammates, but I can tell from watching EMEA Masters, this guy is NOT a choker. Shelfmade (G2N's Toplaner and star-player) underperforms in high-stake environments and Rin (G2N's adc) is inting (all the time), and it's Toasty being the one who not only kept his consistency, but increases his level of play at EMEA Masters.
I've thought of other midlaners, such as PhyMini. However, looking at PhyMini's champion pool, he is strictly a mage player. He has never played an Assassin (Akali), Bruiser (Sylas), Fighter (Yasuo/Yone). We already have a toplaner who struggles with his champion pool, we can't have a midlaner that also has the same weakness.
