Guys, the company I work at is hosting a marketing campaign for employees, and the one video/post that gets the most amount of likes receives a larger sum of money. Now I asked my friends and family to help as much as possible, but I need more help (the most likes on a video is already 700).
I just want to say that the amount of money is big enough for my boyfriend and I to get engaged and go on a weekend trip to celebrate it. Not life-changing, but significant enough to make a difference. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I think it was mid 2025 when I first saw this joke in some subreddits or just one subreddit. I don't really get the joke nor the origin of it. All I know is that some people use this joke when they see whale related thing, but I think they use that joke in almost any situation. Anyway, the joke goes something like: "THE WHALE 🐳🐳🐳" "Because it's the WHAAALE🐳🐳🐳" something along those lines. They are treating this "whale" as some sort of a celebrity or a famous figure. Then there would be entire comment chains with that joke and even dedicated comment images. I think there is a variation with a golden whale, I'm not so sure. I think it was one of the many counting subreddits, you know the ones that have posts with numbered titles, counting the number of total posts in the subreddit. I think it spread to other subreddits. But I'm not sure and I could be wrong. It's been a very long time. I tried searching it on reddit and Google but no success. So anyone know this subreddit?

I’m installing a ~100 point security system including intrusion alarms, motion sensors, perimeter alarms, zone specific lighting and instruments, motion tracking spotlights, cameras, remote control, etc on a large secure property and facility. The system will be controlled through secure, redundant Windows based servers.

I’m looking to use or create Windows based software that will relay information from any device signal and immediately display cameras related to that signal on remote viewing devices through a local or remote network.

The property will have a dedicated wired security network with remote transmission when unoccupied. The goal is to process and transmit signals, relay to specific field devices based on zones, and immediately link to any cameras in proximity of the signal, all with a useable zone based UI.

I have no clue what sub to ask about purchasing or developing software to manage this. As an industrial EI&C electrician I don’t want to deal with a security contractor, rely on a subscription, have a proprietary software and network, etc to manage basic controls, and am trying to avoid subs where commercial business owners are hiring someone to install security, doomers are trying to protect their house from the zombie apocalypse, etc.

Is it possible to start a subreddit and leave it up to Reddit to assign moderators?
