I have the green scarf but I haven’t put it on yet lol

Although I think I've been scammed.

So I’ve heard with the whole visions aspect it covers the stories of some past FF characters. I’ve played Remake, Rebirth, and FF16.

I’ve seen some say the descriptions are vague, some say they reveal things you should experience first, etc.

But that’s not my main question. I’ve heard a bunch of people say “just skip through the parts where you acquire visions”.

I know the game isn’t out but from what we’ve seen in the demo, does just skipping through the vision acquiring part of the game hurt my experience of Resonance’s story itself? Or does it have its own standalone story unaffected by each vision’s story?

Same in other classic rpgs. The team is on the right. Bad guys on the left.

I know not many people like the ff7 remakes, but I honestly would be excited to see a remake of ff6 to that extent.

It's one of my favorite final fantasy games, and seeing a version of that story reimagined would be amazing.

I'm really curious to see how we'll be able to obtain and use LB level 4 for the characters. In the original you just find them as material, use them when you have all the previous LB of the character and then select to make it the default LB. While I could see obtaining the ability to use them through sidequests, the question is how to use them in combat. We know that LBs will still work similarly to Rebirth where you use certain sinergies to gain access to higher LB tiers, but due to how difficult it could be to do two sinergies of the same type in the same battle, it wasn't easy to see the level 3 LB in battle, except like through accessories. If LB4 worked exactly the same, it would mean that a character, aside from accessories, would have to do 3 LB up sinergies in the same battle, which few would last long enough to get there, be it because the enemy or the player would go down sooner.

An all-digital future isn't destiny. It's a decision, and we can still say no.

Phasing out discs is a short-term play. The push is led by the US and American companies, while South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe aren't following.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Big North American companies pivoted hard to digital with crazy-low costs of entry. As the user base grew, they quietly made less physical product. Now that they hold a major share, prices keep climbing, and physical is an afterthought. We've been trained to give up ownership for the sake of watching, reading, or playing right now.

None of this was organic. It's a manufactured, carefully calculated strategy that's been building for over 20 years.

And people are pushing back:

• Books: 50/50 physical/digital, then mostly digital, now mostly physical

• Music: MP3 players, downloads, streaming... and now vinyl is back, with CD sales up for the first time in 9 years

• Movies: DVD is having a renaissance, growing for the first time in nearly a decade

• Games: thanks to the big three, the movement has reached gaming

The big wigs are forcing the change fast so we won't have a choice. But nothing is ever set in stone. An all-digital future is a human decision made by greedy executives, and it won't happen if we don't allow it.

The only thing certain about the future is change.

P.S.

1. Myth: most games this generation aren't "full game on disc/cartridge." False. Source: https://www.doesitplay.org/

2. No evidence Sony pushed FF7 Remake (PS4) and Rebirth (PS5) onto two discs. Multi-disc releases are a production and distribution call by the publisher and developer, Square Enix.

my fav character of all time !!! 🫶

There should be a bombmaker, where kind of like alchemists, mix materials but in a more explosive way.

It really grinds my gears that PC and Xbox players can play these games on the latest machines, yet us PlayStation players still have to resort to dragging out our PS3 consoles in order to play🫤

Thank you (fuck you) scalpers for ruining my perhaps only chance to meet my greatest idol. I would had driven still 5 hours to get to Toronto. The taxes are not even in yet….. and my hotel, food, gas etc.

Those tickets were going for 100-150$ cnd

I’m not surprised. I’m not shocked people are like that. But I can still fucking vent.

They’re all a bunch of puny bards. (The scalpers)

TL:DR

As the title says, this was my first game other then the NES Mario/Duckhunt combo many years ago. It was this game that taught me how to read, an use my imagination.

Long story short, I had a save many moons ago where I had just got the Masamune sword an equipped it on my WM. I remember my squad even: Fighter, Black Belt, White Mage, Thief.

My brother was a very young child at the time, an he liked playing my games as well... Mario atp...

He nuked my save file back then with a squad of "AAAA" fighters... at age 9, I had my legit 1st crash out an refused to play the game until a cpl months ago.

I love this game, an even though it had a tainted start(for me), it made me smile when I saw the credits.

Beat the game with a Figher, "Monk", Thief, White Mage.

To this day, I rank this game in my top 3. Such a fun game to play an chill.

Have a fun weekend folks.

Since completing the game I cannot stop thinking about the ending of Rebirth... I really like Aerith, she's definitely my favourite!

I showed her a picture of him, she replied, “Who’s THAT?” and everything progressed from there.

We also may have put our own spin on a specific scene from Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

Do you have any stories of introducing someone to Final Fantasy?

Does the Al Bhed language treat "machina" as a loan word or does it use the translation "sylrehy"? Can't find it for the life of me.

Strangely, no Bartz or even Gilgamesh today. We got Zidane, the archsorceress and Rain. I don't know why they changed the habits but here we go. I will check during the day to see if they ever release more of the protagonists of Resonance or finally one of Bartz. If there is any other artwork, i will post them in the comments.

Sidenote : yes, the second artist was a bit heavy on her chest. I know people will talk about it so i want to point out that her sex appeal is assumed in the game.

Edit : looks like we won't have any Bartz today. Let's hope he appears alongside Cecil tomorrow in two different artworks. Also, it's funny that, in one day, they went from the lost liked artwork (Terra and Fina) to the least like oes next to Shantotto (vecause she is lesser known).

Me and my ps2 bonding time :)
Finished in about 35 hours over exactly 50 days (Aug 28-Oct 17)
Which should I start next? I’ve been thinking it’s either ff6 or ff8 next. Possibly 10 if I find it physically before the other two.

Pretty happy with it!
