Hi
If you or creators you know have been receiving automated emails from CBDMCA (or CamBabe DMCA) claiming they found dozens of leaks and demanding around $199 to remove them, do not pay them and do not submit data to their forms.
After a technical breakdown of their infrastructure, here is what is actually happening behind the scenes:
Scale: This isn't small-time. webcamrecs com has been registered since 2017 (9 years running). Checking their pagination timestamps today (10 Sept 2026) — page 2 at 13:33, page 250 at 22:32 the previous day — shows roughly 248 pages generated in about 15 hours, at 24 profiles per page. That works out to roughly 9,500 new non-consensual recordings captured per day, on this one domain alone. One of their mirror domains (manyrecs com) has over 314,000 URLs reported for DMCA takedown by more than 13,800 different rights holders, per Google's Transparency Report.
Tested link to CBDMCA: I ran a direct test — submitting details through the mirror site cbrecorder.com's DMCA takedown form triggered a CBDMCA solicitation email at that exact address within 1-2 days, using an address never used anywhere else. That's not a guess based on similar branding — it's a reproducible cause-and-effect result linking the mirror network's takedown form directly to CBDMCA's billing operation.
Manufactured Threat Reports: Their automated "scan" emails report finding your content on "10 external sites." That number matches exactly the number of domains in their own closed network.
They're not scanning the open web — they're listing their own infrastructure and selling you the "removal" of it. Their own reports even show 0 verified media matches while claiming dozens of "leaks."
CBRecorder is a different trap: CBRecorder isn't a fixed archive — it's a paid surveillance tool where clients pay to actively track and record specific models going forward (1/3/5/10 models depending on plan). Separately, their Terms of Service push models toward creating a "verified" account — requiring ID documents — supposedly to monetize their own content. Buried in those same terms: they explicitly state they'll share the reporting model's name and email with whoever posted the content being reported. That's the opposite of protection.
Important distinction: CBRecorder is NOT Chaturbate, OnlyFans, or any platform you actually work with. If you find your content there and consider verifying an account to remove or monetize it — don't hand over ID to the same network that stole your content in the first place.
Hidden Footprints: Their registered UK business address belongs to a real UK company on Companies House — but not one registered under the "CBDMCA" or "CamBabe DMCA" name shown to customers. No entity under either name appears in the UK register. The address itself is only authorised for correspondence use, not as a trading address — yet CBDMCA's own terms present it as where the business operates from. Separately, a mirror site's payment page source code contains a developer comment written in Russian, inconsistent with the UK identity CBDMCA claims publicly.
What to do instead:
Do not give them money or personal documents.
Report directly to infrastructure providers rather than to CBDMCA. On Cloudflare's abuse form: if the content was recorded/published without your consent, use their NCSEI (Non-Consensual Sexually Explicit Imagery) category. If you consented to the original stream but the mirror site is republishing it without authorization (e.g. content you already sell elsewhere), use the Copyright/DMCA category instead.
File DMCA takedown requests directly with Google and Bing to deindex the mirror pages from search results — won't remove the content itself, but cuts off most of the traffic that finds it.
File with econsumer.gov if you're outside the US/UK — free, international consumer fraud reporting network.
I'm sorry I don't have a magic fix here — this network has clearly been operating for 9 years without real consequences, and it will probably keep going for a while. Take care of yourselves and stay careful out there.
Thanks for reading.
EDIT (27 Sept 2026): A few updates since this was posted:
New/rebranded domains in the same network: recordmycam.com (now also recording StripChat, not just Chaturbate), cbcam2cam.com (rebrand of cbrecorder — same operator, confirmed via their old pay.cbrecorder link redirecting there), and webcam-record.com (13.5M+ recorded entries). Same infrastructure, same tactics, just new names as old domains get flagged.
Escalation on their DMCA forms: they're now asking for full name, email, AND phone number just to submit a takedown request — some reports of ID photos too. There is zero legitimate reason for this. If the content is non-consensual intimate imagery, the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act (effective May 2026, FTC-enforced) explicitly prohibits platforms from conditioning removal on a government ID. A valid request only needs identification of the person, a statement it's non-consensual, the URL, and contact info.
Don't use their own forms at all. File directly at TakeItDown.ftc.gov (free, no ID, built for exactly this), or use Google's/Cloudflare's own removal tools. None of these require paying anyone or handing over identification — be wary of anyone (including "DMCA removal" accounts popping up in comments on posts like this) offering to handle it for you for a fee. Same playbook as the network causing the problem.
