Ling Yin has arrived!!!

Been waiting a while to get this one! Got it in Stainless Steel and I’am already super happy with it! Spinners have been boring with me, but the tuning fork makes it so much better!

Surprisingly not too loud and the pitch is deep! I cannot stand high pitched rings (like with my Whisper Sun)

Only downsides to this is the weight (might get a Ti version someday, and a duo spinner makes it very unbalanced. If a tri spinner of this ever drops I will be getting it in Ti asap!!

I’ve seen a couple people mention their Motor Jelly cracked after a few months of normal use. Is it really that fragile?

Interested to hear y’all’s experience.

MOT Groove - Dragon - Upgraded/Premium Edition

• Upvotes

Hey, everyone. I’m trying to find the upgraded dragon version of the mot groove with inlays. MightyEDC shows it as in stock and lists that it’s the premium/upgraded edition, but I can’t be sure. Anybody know if that’s the correct model or if there’s anywhere that I can find it?

Does GEEONE restock all the products?

• Upvotes

I want to buy some MOT products but all of them are sold out. Do they ever restock? is there a different place I can buy authentic ones?

What brands are there?

• Upvotes

Hi I'm new to all this and just discovered there's a multitude of things to learn about. I didn't even know fidgets would come in titanium or zirconium and stuff like that.

What are the good brands and the premium ones? I don't want something to just stop working or wear off after a while. I got myself an MOT Groove the mix rabbit one I think? and then two GAO sliders, rich coin and gem.

And I've read that people get clones too, what would be the differences from an authentic one?

This is my first 3 cap in a straight line (i’ve also made a triangle version) and it’s a lot of fun. What shape should i try next? Do i need to make an instruction video on how to create these?

This thing is loud when you get it right! Anyone found a way to reduce the noise? I’m thinking if I have any hope of using this anywhere other than in my office at home 😂

I saw on a video it get mentioned about maybe plastic inserts to block the vibration?

New Fidget Friday: Brain EDC - Snake Mini 2.0

This is the second iteration of the Snake Mini. It is made of Zirconium with Mokuti plates. The gliding frame is made of PEEK. It has one dense paragraph track with a nice detent at the end point.

It glides very smooth and the sound has a nice resonance to it. The middle part of the track sounds a bit squeaky, but not in a bad way.

Although the form factor looks a little bit funny, it feels good in hand. This slider definitely is on the more pricey side for its size, but the sound and feel is very nice.

Aura sand grippy plate options?

Hello all, just got an aura sand and set it up in a way that I’m really enjoying. The plates are gorgeous that it came with, but a bit slippery at times. Are there any 3rd party vendors that have more of a grippy texture to them? For reference I just have the steel slim version.

Best fidget for a ratchet sound?

I have a fidget cube that makes a clicky ratchety sound when you spin its dials. I'd love to have something dedicated to that sound that's small enough to put in my purse, especially if it spins or slides. Any ideas? Aside from an actual ratchet haha

Wich hand are you using?

I've been using fidget for 2 months and just realized this afternoon that I'm using most of them with the left hand even I'm right handed.

Someone else? Or just use with both hands depends on what you are doing , I'm using with my right hand when driving

PEI Plane & Distress Ti Oumuamua

Two pieces I go back and forth on whether I regret them or not. Plane was a part of my first order and the Ti oumuamua was a 2nd one I got after having the PEI/SS version.

The Ti oumuamua has better haptics than the PEI/SS model. But it is a bit boring playwise. It's main draw is the customization it offers. Which it does allow I just haven't taken advantage of it yet because tritium isn't cheap and it feels dumb ordering 50 dollars worth of tritium for ONE of them. I don't want to install UV tubes. I did buy blue titanium tubes from geeone to install with the paracord to match but haven't added them because I want to match them to a color of bead and I haven't found some I like yet. So I might go with a different color way and add tritium tubes instead.

The main gripe I have with it is that the customization extends mainly to its glass insert beads. But for some reason they decided on 5mm beads and consumer beads are often 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm. So your choices are limited when it comes to materials. Ive only found amythest, lapiz lazuli and tigers eye. But there's a lot cooler looking gem beads at 6mm. I've also found cut zirconia at 5mm but they require stacking magnets so they don't move and get stuck. Leading to making it basically just a magnet slider.

You can change the magnet strength they provide 3 or 4 strengths. I don't find much of a difference with the middle strengths. And I don't find myself wanting to mess with it either. Changing the beads and spring is all I've done really. I added a larger bead for added resistance. I think it's larger body hampers the different effects from beads.

One neat thing they did for the Ti they didn't do for its mixed version is put springs under the 4 middle beads so they area little squishy on pressing.

I don't really regret buying it. I like the aesthetic and design. It's just very thick so haptics feel dull. I do think the Ti is better than it's mixed materials version. But the PEI/SS had better colorways.

The oumuamua gets bonus points for having a paracord hole that is easy to braid. Looking at you guys 9 grid, Guardian X1, Ctulu and others I'm sure.

The Zaclab Plane is simpler. It's quite boring and the paragraphed ding ding track isn't to my taste. Dense track would've been sublime. Still would be a simple slider but complexity isn't necessary for enjoyment anyways. Note that it is loud.

What I do like about it though is the size. It's one of the very few fidgets that I feel has enough space to use it comfortably. At the price of 40 it may not be the best anymore as many affordable options have since come out. But 5 months ago it was a better option. Now I don't know. Gao Magic Stick, Neojoy, KS GT all seem better designed at a similar price point. And maybe a dozen others that haven't been restocked since their initial offerings.

Oh well too cheap to be worth reselling. At least I don't have to worry how I handle it. Zaclabs other releases seem more creative at similar prices.

Looking for a nice SILENT metal fidget

I am a university student and I just really need to do something with my hands when I am not actively writing notes in class. I wish I could have something like my Hanayama cast puzzles with me but those are too loud and a little too difficult for me during a class. I like hefty metal objects and would love something spinny or tactile (or both) that is preferably not crazy expensive. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated!

I built a 60-second desk break you can take in your browser: bubble wrap, clicky switches, breathing....

I sit at screens most of the day and kept realising my shoulders were up by my ears hours later. So I built Shoulderdrop: a guided 60-second reset where you pop bubbles, click a few switches, breathe, look away from the screen and drop your shoulders.

Everything runs in the browser. All the sounds are generated live, there are no accounts, no ads and nothing to install. It’s free to use along with other options.

Visit the website shoulderdrop to experience.

I’d love feedback: which toy do you actually enjoy, what feels pointless, and what would you add?
