Hello! I recently got an 8 month old aft gecko and want to make sure it is getting a proper diet/supplements. She has a 5% UVB light so I'm a little unclear on how often to give her d3 and multivitamin. She gets fed every other day so my plan was to give her a multivitamin without d3 every 4 feedings (\~once a week), however I'm unsure if I still need to give her d3 calcium powder in between or if she should only get calcium powder without d3 in between multivitamins. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,
I've posted acouple time on this forum about, my aft gecko not eating, after visiting the vet giving him medicine and syringe feeding Apollo, he still passed three days after visting the clinic.

So my 1.5yr old male aft has been not eating for about 3 weeks now. I still see him sometimes but he's been hiding more than usual. His tail is still fatter than the base so I'm not worried about him starving yet.
The question is this behavior. He seemed to be pulling at his backside. I haven't gotten a chance to look at him since this to see if there's any obvious problems.
Should I be concerned or is that normal?

A little earlier this year, I moved out of my mother's apartment. This is my first time living by myself, and boy has a lot changed! I used the opportunity to arrange for an improvement to the living conditions of my sweet little guy Caraxes. I had a 100x40x50 enclosure made for him, slathered the inside with an UV-resistant epoxy coating (with ample time to offgas in outside air), got appropriate substrate mixed together and made a hardscape with cork branches, driftwood and a few naturalistic hides, then installed his lights (heat bulb and UVB bar). He was finally moved in two days ago, and I just put in his cleaner crew of Porcellio ornatus yellow 'pods :D
He was understandably a bit shaken by the sudden change, but I'd transplanted one of his driftwood pieces and the hide he always liked the most, so there'd be a few things that smelled familiar. He was very bravely exploring his new territory all evening, and he's been hiding to decompress from the upset over the course of the weekend. I wonder how his routines will change in light of the increased living space. He has access to more floor space and increased verticality now, and I hope he'll grow to like it! After putting in his new isopod buddies, I'm not gonna touch the enclosure for a while unless absolutely needed (moisture and waterdish top-ups) so he can feel secure in his new palace!

So I got my first aft gecko last Wednesday and she is 7 months old. She hasn't eaten in about 10 days (but her tail still looks plump at least) which I think might be due to my heating situation or just stress. I recently switched from the Thrive 100w basking bulb to the Arcadia 75W halogen flood bulb. Despite everywhere saying this is the recommended bulb for a 40gal tank I think it's struggling to supply enough heat. My basking spot/warm hide gets to 88-95F, but the ambient air temp on the warm side is only 80-81. I'm scared to up it to 100W cuz my bottom basking slate already nears exceeding 96F. She's also doing a ton of glass surfing at night. I'm unsure if a lot of her behavior is due to still being new and stressed, or if there's a serious problem with my set up. I'd be less concerned if she wasn't still a subadult that's growing and needs feeding every 2 days. Any advice is welcome, just be kind. I'm really trying :\

I’m not planning on getting a Fat-tailed gecko any time soon, but I have a question!!
I currently have my corn snake in a grow-tank that’s 30x18x18 inches. She’ll be moving out of it in about a year or more, so I was wondering if that would be fine for a Fat-tailed gecko. I know their recommendation is 36 and not 30, but how bad would a few inches be? (I ask not sarcastically but as a genuine inquiry.)
I’ve talked to my mom about potential things to put in this tank, but ever since I showed her a fat-tailed gecko she’s been sent on getting one in a year’s time. If this sized tank isn’t good, please gives me reasons to talk her out of it! Or give me reason to convince her to sell this tank and buy a proper one. 👀

Hi all! I got my first AFT last weekend. She’s still very flighty, I haven’t handled outside of picking her up briefly yesterday to check her over (less than 5 min) and then immediately put her back.
I’ve got a crestie and know it took a month for her to eat regularly, but wasn’t sure how long to wait on my AFT? She’s a sub-adult, not a baby. I’ve offered a few crickets every other day to avoid stressing her but she hasn’t eaten yet. She has been traversing her enclosure more and is active, just not eating yet. At what point should I worry? Thanks!

Hi everyone, asking for advice for my AFT.
He is a 13 months old boy, I got him for 5 months now.
About 1.5 months ago, he started to have on-off diarrhea. I got him to vet 1 month ago for stool test and he got dewormed.
His stools immediately improved and no other concern. However, 2 weeks after the deworming, he starts to pee liquid and drinks a lot more.
His urates still present when he poop, although not as big as before. He is still very active and has big appetite. No shedding issues or lethargy or weight loss.
What possibly happen? Should I continue with the deworming or give it a rest until his pee normalize...?
Kinda afraid to do another deworming if something bad is happening with his kidney.
Pic of the boy in his hospital tank...

I took my doo doo to the vet a couple days ago for a checkup and she was just sleeping like this when I lifted the hide to get her. She shed the night before, that shed on her toes is gone now. I’m just about done with quarantine. She’s getting bigger, looks nice and healthy, and I’m sure she’d rather be in a bigger house.

Facebook marketplace post, asking $120 for the cage+gecko.
I've owned leopard geckos in the past and not really in a spot to take on another pet rn but I have connections for rehoming and If it means getting him to a better home I feel like I should do that. I don't know, I don't want to contribute to people who think this is okay but I always feel bad for them. I've already rescued and rehomed multiple leopards and a bearded dragon that now lives at my local vets office.
If I end up taking this on what can I do to improve the temporary cage he's in now? I was told it's a 30 gallon but I have a 40 in storage I could easily setup with at least paper towels until I can get to a pet store next week.

Upgraded him from a 34 gallon to 50 gallon enclosure! I built the background with foam board, he now lives in a mansion with 7 hides lol
