It is compatible with FantasyGrounds as it creates a .uvtt file to download. We would like to ask your help for beta testing. You can participate by completing the google forms below:

We hope that it really solves the process of creating Dynamic Lighting in dungeons! Mega dungeon and old-school play are particularly benefited by this app. It is not yet strong in battlemap style maps, but will be in due time.

I run my DnD session bi-weekly. So 2 weeks ago i prepared some maps for that session for combat, but my players never got to the combat. Back then, the map worked perfectly fine without trouble.

Now 2 weeks later, i assume because of updates that happened, when i turn on lights on the same map it creates IMMENSE lag for me the DM. My players say they are fine, but for me my GPU jumps from 20% usage to 100% instantly.

The map in question has 10 light sources, which is much much less than i have had before with 0 issue.

My PC has a RTX 3070, 32 GB DDR4 Ram, and a Ryzen 5 3600x CPU. Never had lag issues before.

Since the last major FG update, one specific player has been unable to see any maps (the map window just stays gray). We’ve already tried several methods, but we still haven’t been able to resolve the issue. Could someone help us?

I have the version Fantasy Grounds - v5.1.14 (2026-10-11) but the game does not permit me to put shortcut (locations) in a map.

I've been GMing for over 30 years and I got tired of subscription soundboards. So I built my own (a self-hosted soundboard called Trovador Soundscape) and then wrote a Fantasy Grounds extension to drive it from inside FG.

The extension is called Trovador Link, and it's free on the Forge:

It adds a Trovador Link tab to FG's Sound settings, alongside the existing File and Syrinscape options. You register your sounds by name in that tab, tag them as Music/SFX/Ambience, and then bind them to triggers in a Sound Set the same way you already do for local files. When a trigger fires (say, Attack.*HIT in the chat window), Trovador Link sends the command to your Trovador server instead of launching a local player.

It's ruleset-agnostic: it watches the chat window, so any ruleset's combat messages work as long as you write the pattern.

Hi all, got a quick question today.

I was looking through the Options menu and realized how many of the options I actually have no idea what they do. I have tried searching online and can find explanations on a few of them but for many, nothing at all.

For example. "Desktop: Combat Actions" #, why "Turn change" has the number 3, what interface actions are (and why they're numbered), map display duration (I mean it sounds like what it sounds like but??), token: combat actions #, and so on.

Question is simple: Is there a place where the information on what all the options do consolidated somewhere I haven't found?

EDIT: While I'm at it. When I switch to "combat tabletop list" (the little icon left to the PCs' portraits in the upper left corner of the screen), is there a way for the players to see the NPCs as portraits in that row?

Hey everyone,

I made an automated character sheet based on the D&D 5e 2024 SRD rules that can be imported into FGU, and would love some feedback on it. It's free for anyone to download and use at their table.

It's a HTML file, so it runs on any modern browser, including mobiles and tablets. Everything stays on your machine and you can export it to save the sheet and updated when the character levels up, for instance. You can also import it to FGU using an extension and it reads everything correctly, needing just a few tweaks.

It uses SRD rules, so species, class, and spell are limited to that. BUT it has custom creation for every field, so you can create content from other sources and, if you have the module active on FGU, it will import correctly as long as you didn't misspell anything. On top of this, you can save/export these custom classes/species/backgrounds to be used on other characters or share with your friends.

It also connects with other tools I made to help DMs set up their game more quickly. For example, whatever you add on the "Backstory & Personality" field of the character sheet, gets imported to The Ledger, a NPC generator. With that info, the DM can tie that particular character to the NPC of their choice, creating unique hooks to the story. The Ledger also creates NPCs with personalities, and much more. Anyway, I'm getting off topic.

I am trying to learn how to create maps in Dungeon Alchemist and import them into Fantasy Grounds; however, when I open the image in FG, the map appears completely black in 2D mode. It is only visible if I switch to Free Camera 3D or Token View.

I already tried perspective, limited perspective and othographic. Reduce the DPI didnt worked too.

With some friend we want to play online to pathfinder, we usually played tabletop but we can’t has much as we use. I wonder, what do I need to start a campaign, of “curse of the crimson throne,” I already got a pdf version of the campaign, but I guess I need the fg one to get the battle maps and stat block, but do I need to buy the rules, to run a game, we all got a physical version of them?

Is this even possible? I have an idea where a weapon will appear differently to different party members. The weapon stats would be the same, as well as the curse, but what it is would be different.

For those of you who may not have heard, SmiteWorks has released a web based character builder that can print to pdf as well as import and export characters to FGVTT: Character Vault

It only supports a handful of systems at the moment, but they are working on deploying more.

What it does:

• Build characters for supported system using content you own for Fantasy Grounds or free entitlements
• Use an interactive online interface (disconnected from FG) for live play
• Print the character sheet
• Import from a Fantasy Grounds character export
• Export to a Fantasy Grounds compatible XML file you can import to your campaign
• Supported systems include D&D 5E/5.5E, Pathfinder 2E, Starfinder 2E, Cosmere RPG, Pathfinder 1E

There are currently 3 tiers. Free allows you to have 3 active characters. "Player" Vault gives you 12 character slots, that you can share with others so they have access to your FG products for character creation. Or the "GM" Vault with gives you 50 character slots that you can share with others.

There is probably no data available for us mortals, but I'm curious.

After the switch to free license, has the number of users gone up (a significant amount)? I hope so. And sales?

I am impressed with the deluge of new modules coming out all the time for the many different game systems, I suppose the man hours going into all this yields a profit?

At the same time I wonder why there's seemingly no influx of people on this subreddit (or does this potential traffic go to the forums?)

I am hoping one day I can upload my own sounds from my computer to the campaigns i make. Sounds cape is nice but doesnt offer what i need in terms of Sounds in my homebrew campaigns
