When you recruit a character in FFR, you get to see a montage of footage from their game of origin during the process. For XIV's rep Y'shtola, it shows a lot of scenes from 2.0-4.x stuff, but a really surprising point of note is the few scenes they include that involve the player character show this Lalafell in a DT fending set.

Feels weird to see a promotional-style footage for FFXIV from official Square Enix media not using the default approved Meteor but instead seemingly one of the developers characters using footage recorded for the game.

A real curiosity, and kind of a fun note. I wonder who worked on the game that got their WoL semi-canonized in a divergent timeline.

I've been wondering how people generally give and receive commendations in FF14.

Since most regular dungeon content isn't particularly difficult, do you actually pay attention to how everyone performs, or is it more of a quick "commend the tank/healer and leave" kind of thing?

Personally, I'm curious what makes someone stand out to you. Is it good gameplay, pulling extra packs, keeping the run smooth, being friendly in chat, or something else entirely?

And for those of you who farm commendations for achievements, do you approach it differently?

I'm interested to hear how everyone else does it!

Reminder: As of Patch 7.5, most Dyes have been consolidated to Standard Spectrum Dye (available for purchase for gil from NPC Vendors) and Wide Spectrum Dyes (traded for with special currencies or from events). Research which dyes fall under those categories accordingly.

Before asking for help please read below

• Check ALL slots are filled except off-hand
• Check that even non-hint slots are filled.
• Check that both rings are filled
• When using dyes, make sure they're in the correct dye slots
• Check your dye names to make sure they are exactly the same or the right type
• Glamouring items counts for the hint slots and dyes
• If you are still having issues, please include a screenshot of your results screen from the Masked Rose. It will be easier for us to help troubleshoot your issue

What is the Fashion Report?

The Fashion Report is a weekly mini-game in the Gold Saucer with the NPC the Masked Rose to earn 60,000+ MGP and items to unlock from another NPC such as glamour, and housing items. For the mini-game the Masked Rose gives out 4 hints for players to discover the results to. The correct gear, correct dye and just filling out gear slots will net you more points. You get 10k MGP for participation and then once you reach a score of at least 80pts you will get a 50k MGP bonus. For achieving the maximum score of 100pts you will earn an achievement which gives you the title "Fashion Leader". Additionally, the NPC next to the Masked Rose called Kasumi will gradually unlock glamour and furnishing items in her shop based on the total number of points week over week you accumulate. Once you have 600pts total you will have unlocked the entire shop. Unfortunately, you are only able to accumulate 100pts per week for the shop unlock so at minimum it will take 6 full weeks of the Fashion Report.

ANNOUNCEMENT: New Fashion Report XIV site that allows you to lookup a database of all known Hints and their associated gear, look up details on items such location data, and build an item collection to customize your own Easy 80/100 that will recommend items based on your current collection or items you could acquire if you don't have one.

I must say watching cutscenes while playing a male roegadyn in the grisly bear outfit is very amusing.

The whole point was closure which we dont get in real life.

They showed this prior to 7.0

I know they wanted to update the areas in each .X patch but I'm there now and it has a few extra weeds and dirt patches. The textures are improved a bit but the actual clutter shown is the same amount shown on the left. Is this coming in the next expansion?

Because currently it looks closer to the left image than it does the right.

Like the title says, ive been playing for almost a year, and after leveling a lot of DPS jobs, im thinking on givin a try to healing, the thing is I dont have a mouse and Keyboard so if anyone in here can give me some pointers an tips, that would be great.

Yo guys, just wanted to share my appreciation for this game. Smh FFXIV became my favorite cozy game. Normally I get bored easily with this much reading and fetch quests but this game just has this magic. :)

This used to happen on my base PS5, and now I notice it on my PS5 Pro too. Every time I change the resolution, I see a quick flash of rainbow artifacting. Is this like a known thing cause i haven't found anything about this online.

This dungeon is so long! Why isn't it in the MSQ Roulette??
