Made by a friend and me. :) Inspired by old-school fairy tales.

Tail is a short film about being disconnected from the simple pleasures everyone else seems to feel. Being alone isn’t a refuge, and being with people doesn’t reach him. It has no narration and no explanation. It’s told through body language, stillness, timing and sound.

🎧 Best with headphones.

A spooky 2D animation, Gothic horror romance, Orphic Strings is an original adaptation of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. In the ancient myth, Eurydice, Orpheus’ wife, dies after being bitten by a snake. Orpheus boldly descends to the Underworld to claim her. Orpheus charms Hades with his music, and the King of the Underworld restores Eurydice to life. In Orphic Strings, a dry well serves as a portal between dimensions, allowing the transcendent music to travel into the Underworld.

Orphic Strings: Directed, Concept, and Edited by Anselmo J. Alliegro

Music: by Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven, Arrangements by Gregor Quendel
