I have lurked on r/EntitledReviews for many months, but my enjoyment of entitled reviews has extended for many years. I have laughed with coworkers over bad reviews written about us, and I generally assume most negative reviews are misleading. I’ve never written one myself.

However, I just had an experience that makes me want to. Whatever tf just happened was so absurd and unprofessional I may just leave my first ever negative review after surviving on this earth for almost 30 years just so no one else will experience what I did.

When you encounter negative reviews online, what helps you clearly differentiate between an entitled review and a genuine negative review?

The backstory is that a married couple bought a drive-thru coffee shop & created their own business a couple of years ago that is also a drive-thru coffee shop that I’ve heard is really great but haven’t been myself. They have great reviews.

The old tenants of this building also ran a drive-thru coffee shop but their whole gimmick was that all the baristas were women dressed only in bikinis. Also never went there so I can’t speak to the service & drinks but I’m assuming a good portion of the patrons didn’t care much about the drink quality, including this guy.

God forbid the owner of this new company stand up for his female employees in an “aggressive, expletive-filled” text message because of a “brief, lighthearted, historical joke.”🙄
