Medicare/Medi-cal Primary Doctors

I’m moving my parents from Stockton to EG. They have established services with Sutter Gould there with Medicare/Medical. My dad has a host of health issues, hence moving in with me for care. It is so hard to navigate Medicare/medical system. Been on the phone all day with various groups and it leave me feeling deflated. The Sutter Medical group here isn’t taking new Medicare patient. It’s stressing me out trying to figure this out for continuity of care.

I guess what I’m asking is are there any suggestions for Medicare primary? For medi-cal, he can choose Molina and Anthem I think with Medicare coverage. Is Molina good? Trying to find a one stop shop such as primary/lab etc. Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you!

Decent car photo spots in EG/sac?

I got this old 83 supra I've been wanting to get decent night pics of but I dont know many spots near Elk grove. Id prefer areas that aren't too metropolitan as I dont have plates (BUT it is registered with a TOP) so cops especially in sac just love harassing me even though they cant ticket it.

With that said, any cool backroad locations or nice night viewpoints? Ive already taken some in front of the sac water tower, so not sure what else to put on the itinerary. Thanks

Elk Grove Pickleball Club

Looking for a way to play pickleball consistently with the same group of people and I came across the elk grove pickleball club: https://elkgrovepickleballclub.org

How is the club? Is it still active and what is the age group of people in the club? Any insight into it would be great!

Looking for recs for fun things to do.

• Upvotes

Hi all — my wife and I are considering moving to Elk Grove/Sac to be closer to family. I’ve been visiting the area since I was a kid, but I’ve never lived anywhere but the Bay Area, so I’m not super familiar.

We love art museums/galleries, live music, and just having a nice downtown area to walk around. We’re looking forward to visiting the Crocker Museum and Concerts in the Park.

I’d love to hear about some of your favorite things to do/places to go. Thank you!

Handy(person) recommendations

Any recommendations for a person that can do stuff around the house? Specifically, I need help with someone that can help repair/replace/move a couple of roof tiles. TIA.

Tennis groups?

Any adult tennis groups in the area? I tried to join the advanced tennis group via Laguna Racquet club but I guess it is full. Never heard back from the facilitator. I am not a beginner but not super advanced 3.5. Just looking for a group of mixed experience adults to hit with a few nights a week or group lessons if available. Everything I found looks to be mornings but no evenings.

Halloween

We’re all ready for Halloween, but a little worried we won’t get any trick or treaters! 😅 I’ve heard the neighborhoods around Costco tend to get busy, but we’re on the north side of EG Blvd, near Cinemark and Miwok park. Also, any recommendations for fun things to do on Halloween? Events, decorated neighborhoods or other places worth checking out?
