What is this game? Is it being released on consoles October 23? How much will is cost to buy?

I haven't play NHL in a LONG time,I mean really long, back in the 90. Loved the game, then i kinda lost interest. Tried a few demos here and there but never got the skill stick. A few month back started playing ice hockey again, and I wanted to play some NHL games. I tired NHL 26 as is free with Xbox pass. nothing out of the ordinary. Tried NHL 16 since I read that latest NHL were not that good and Is crazy the difference. The graphics are not that crazy being 10+ years apart but the gameplay was so much fun. Passes were more inaccurate, shoots were stronger but miss the net a lot, goalies were more dynamic and the puck phiscs was much better. Goalies gave more rebound and not sponges as NHL 26. Could be my nostalgia talking or NHL 16 gameplay is better than 26?

I'm wondering to start a career with 16 instead of 26, I'm going to miss the current roster but beside that not sure what else i could be missing. Maybe defense, i think NHL 26 had better defense but that's it.

I'm playing Be a Pro with the Blackhawks and I’d like Bedard to remain captain for his entire career. Ideally, I’d like my player to earn an A and just stay an alternate captain alongside him.
I know you can become an alternate captain this year, but is there actually a way to avoid eventually being promoted to captain? Can you turn down the C and keep your A permanently?
Has anyone tested this? I really don’t want the game to eventually force Bedard out of the captaincy just because my player has progressed far enough.

Can anybody help me out here. I use the hybrid style controls in Be a Pro in 26. All worked good in the juniors/ & preseason. Then when the actual season started ‘O’ no longer checked people, it instigated a line change.

Any idea why? Checking was just a big part of my game and I just can’t get the hang of the hit stick no matter how much I try

I know it's probably not all that impressive but after 1157 regular season games I surpassed 2,857 Points.

I played on Superstar with both CPU and Human goalie sliders set to most difficult. (I know its impossible to make the playing against the CPU actually challenging)

I played all games except for pre-season and about 25 regular season games.

I originally started the Be A Pro with the goal of getting the Wheels X-Factor but it seems unattainable after getting traded to, and playing for every division and then playing 5 seasons for the same team it still did not give me Wheels.

I achieved this in my 15th season and currently have:

NHL is really the only game I play which is why I haven't got a PS5 and am still playing NHL 24. I originally planned to get a PS5 for NHL 27 once I surpassed Gretzky but I'll probably hold off since NHL 27 has looked especially glitchy so far.

My player is 32 so I guess I'll go for Gretzky's assist Record and then 4,000 points. I guess it'll force retire my at some point, but I'm not too sure.

*I will add, I did have to replay this game by force closing NHL because if the point you get to pass the record it an assist it won't play the cutscene or provided any acknowledgement of beating the record. I wanted to mention if anyone is ever close to reaching.

How do you get the puck back on the powerplay? My opponent just skates back into their own zone and wastes all the time.

As the title says, I’m looking for thoughts and opinions on NHL 17 and 18 and what your preference is between the two, and also the difference between the two games.
I’ve been going back to NHL 18 now, and it feels so good in my opinion and I’m having a blast playing it. I’m thinking about purchasing NHL 17 just to do the team North America international tournament but not sure if nhl 17 is that much of a decline from 18 in hindsight.

I’m on NHL24 for ps4…. Thinking of upgrading to a ps5 so I can play NHL26. However, I’m currently encountering the glitch where custom sliders reset to defaults after playing a game. I only play franchise mode.

I hear the glitch was still in 25…is it in 26?

What games before 24 do not have the glitch?

The Season is 38 games with checks every 2 weeks for progression (stages) at 9 GP (10/8), 18 GP (10/22), and 27 GP (11/5) with the end of the season coming 11/22 since all games are available for the season in one sim. There will be a NHL jersey of your choice awarded to the Stanley cup winner and other real custom banners and trophies for other awards.

THERE WILL BE A FANTASY REDRAFT AFTER THIS SEASON ENDS.

Is there a way to edit rosters/player movement/the draft once you start a new franchise? I downloaded a recent custom roster, but guys like McKenna/Stenberg/Bjork are still in junior/international, and it says they are too young to be added to an NHL/AHL team in the roster customization.

This guy was calling the goalie out and making own goals. How can we stop this from continuing to happen???

Real question guys, ive been playing for a couple years now, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong when it comes to passing in 27. Every time I try to do a quick pass it goes flying (usually going high) and ive plated around with it in practice and it feels correct when im playing, but it always goes the wrong way. Any suggestions would be helpful, its getting really frustrating to work yourself into a perfect one-timer spot and watch the puck go the wrong way.
