Maya Dear as a Barbie doll for Halloween!
I'm celebrating my birthday this month by throwing a Halloween party! And I'm dressing as a dragged-up Barbie for my costume.

I’ve seen a lot of posts about this lately here, and I understand the want to make sure you aren’t stepping on toes when joining a community.
But the answer is always yes! You don’t need to be a certain gender or identify a certain way to do drag. It’s a form of art, it’s expression, it’s beautiful.
I’m a cis-het woman who has been doing drag professionally for 3 years. My identity has never been a point of discussion or contention both in bookings or at shows. If you’re fabulous, you’re fabulous, and that’s all that matters.
Please, never feel like you can’t do something because of your identity. That’s the complete opposite of what drag stands for. Drag is for everyone, it’s inclusive, and it’s exactly what you want it to be.
So wing out that liner, glue down that lace and go take the world by storm. God knows we need more beautiful resistance in this world right now.

I've always found drag performances fascinating. The creativity, confidence, makeup, fashion, and energy that performers bring to the stage are honestly incredible! 💖
One thing I love about drag is how every performer has their own unique style and personality. Some make you laugh, some leave you speechless with their looks, and others can genuinely move you with their performances.
I'm curious, what was the first drag performance or queen that really caught your attention?
Was it something you saw on RuPaul's Drag Race, a live show, or a performance you randomly came across online?
I'd love to hear your stories and discover some amazing performers I might have missed! 🌈✨

So basically my good friend has recently picked up drag and they LOVE IT. I asked them what their wanted for their birthday (which is quickly approaching) and they said "anything you think would be fun in my drag! like makeup, glitter, accessories."
The problem is I am not personally a drag queen and, while I definitely love to watch drag shows, know basically nothing about what goes into it or what would be "fun" in someone's drag. I know they're a very pop-centered drag queen, I know they like to strip on stage, and I know they like to wear glittery stuff, but that's about where my knowledge of the ins-and-outs ends.
I was just wondering, if there are any drag queens reading this who are willing to help my sorry ass out, what would you have liked to recieve as a baby queen? What kind of glitter is good for drag, what accessories are fun to use/common, any makeup pallets that are fun and common in the community?
Any help or ANY direction at all would be appreciated please ðŸ˜
