DOORDASH should require an aptitude test or at least an interview. If you're deemed an idiot you're banned from the platform.

There are drinks in there. IT'S SO FUNNY HOW MAD THE DOORDASH DRIVERS ARE IN THE COMMENTS. LMAO. WHY Y'ALL MAD AT ME? IT WAS ONE OF YOUR PEOPLE! ALL THE GO GET THE FOOD YOURSELF, LAZY, OR JUST GO OUT THE BACK DOOR AND GO AROUND, OR OPEN THE DOOR SLOWLY (LIKE ANYONE KNEW THE ORDER WAS PINNED UP AGAINST THE DOOR) THIS FURTHER PROVES MY POINT. 🤣😂🤣😂

PUBLIC CERVIX ANNOUNCEMENT: The Doordash Community will come after you if they mess up.

It was a $17/2 mile order 😕🤷🏽‍♀️

Her food was only $7 so even if DoorDash doesn’t reimburse me, I still made $10 on a 2 mile order (4 miles if you include the mileage for me to get back home)… I’ll take it

Used a reward for some money off but wanted to still tip. Nope, not allowed to exceed 20% apparently. Will throw the driver a few bucks if I catch them.

Double dash, and added on to an order, price still doesn’t seem right, but I’ll take it!

Edit: the vodka bottle came as just a regular 1.75 liter bottle, not peach. Still, 1.37 seems wrong 😏

I placed a $50 food order. The driver marked it delivered with a "drop-off" photo, except the photo was zoomed way in on the bag, and you can clearly see his car's cup holder underneath it 😂 Every other drop-off photo I've gotten shows my door and my building, so it's obvious this one wasn't taken at my place.
My food never arrived. DoorDash put it in a dispute queue to be reviewed the next morning at 7 a.m. So now I'm out $50, with no food, waiting to maybe get my money back.
I was still hungry, so I ordered the same meal again. That one showed up with an item missing. No big deal, I got refunded for that item.
The next day, my refund request for the first order was declined. I called support and was told there was nothing they could do. Sorry.
So just to be clear: you can pay $50, receive nothing, have a photo showing it was never at your door, and DoorDash won't refund you a dime.
I'm done with them. Be careful out there, and screenshot everything.
The crossed out ticket is the one I disputed 😂 it’s still in his car man it’s ridiculous.

Creepy Dashers

Tonight my Dasher came to drop off my Starbucks (I know I know) and they stood on my front porch for over 15 mins.

First they stood at my door for maybe 5 mins before texting me "I'm here, can you come outside?"

They walked back and forth from my front door to my window, hovering each time. You can see through my curtains if you look hard enough, and it looked like they were trying to. They played audio in Spanish on speakerphone at times. Maybe their gps?

They still would not confirm the drop off. They messaged me again 7 mins later telling me they're at the door. After another 4 mins they finally gave up and stomped, and I mean stomped away. Slammed their car door so violently, and hit the gas hard as soon as they started their engine. You could hear them skirting down the street.

This has happened several times. My drop off directions say no contact and to drop off beside the front door. I changed my door dash name to a man's name after the last time this happened. Guess that doesn't work. The dasher had a feminine name this time, usually happens with a dude.

I'm so creeped out.

Love that my Bagel Place Called to check on a double Dash Order

I placed an order for a myriad of foods from my favorite bagel place (dreary Saturday with a weather migraine and a cold coming on - thought I’d make it a full lazy day of rest, food, and streaming shows/movies).

Dasher got to my home - sat in the car and cancelled my order (tipped $12.00 - not sure if they get to keep that) claiming car trouble and drove away.

Pretty sure they absconded with my food.

Replaced the order (I’m still hungry and not feeling great) and my favorite place to order from called me to ask me what was wrong with the first order and offered to deliver it to me for free if something was wrong.

I explained what happened with the dasher and the store manager got on the phone and inquired if this was a “normal” occurrence. I told them, it has never happened to me before, but I have heard it happens to other DoorDash users.

They just wanted to confirm 1.) the same exact 2nd order was real and 2.) was their food subpar from the first order.

Well….this is why they are my favorite place…they sent me a basket of muffins, half a dozen mixed bagels with an assortment of spreads and extra juice.

Dear Dasher,

You may have stolen a free breakfast….but I got a symphony of extras at no cost (probably the “day olds”, but I don’t care) and my bagel place has a customer for life.

Sincerely,
You didn’t seem to have car trouble when you pulled up and then drove away.

Why didn't she take the tip?

Hey y'all! So I had a quite weird interaction with a dasher the other day and was wondering if maybe y'all could clarify. So I ordered Wawa and had this person come who I tipped 13.00$ it's a farther drive... About 15 min on average and with gas high I figured that was reasonable. I had extra cash on me and because it was also so late I was gonna give her another 10$. She got here and it was a really nice older woman and her son in the car. She handed me the food but would not take the additional money I was offering her. She said " na it's ok we just do this for fun" I. Have not stopped thinking about this tiny interaction. Why didn't she take the money? Was it because of the kid? Wouldn't that be a reason to take it? Who does door dash for fun? I'm gonna post this and just hope for the best.

A dispute (first world problem)

• Upvotes

Doordash gave me someone else's order exceeding 20% lesser cost (including the $20 tip) of my order on Friday.

I asked for compensation, it was declined. I returned the incorrect order to the restaurant in person.

I appealed and that was declined with prejudice. I called again. Support admitted I provided proof that an incorrect order was delivered, and allegedly a case was opened with the customer advocate.

The reason given all along for the denials was "unspecified". At that point I just wanted door dash to admit they fucked up.

I called again this morning more than 24 hours later. They said nothing could be done.

I have now deleted my account and won't use the service again. I realize I have forfeit any compensation at this point.

Anyone from door dash corporate reading: This is how you lose loyal customers. Keep up the good work.

I broke my leg a week ago in a car accident. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building with no elevator. My dad won’t be able to come until tomorrow to bring me groceries and help meal prep for me. I ordered DoorDash today and put in the notes to leave it at my door because I can’t go up and down with items with a broken leg. Even tipped 15 dollars because I know it’s not fun carrying stuff up three flights of stairs and mind you place I ordered from was a mile and a half away. Not a big drive. After they circled my building 5 times before stopping I let them know the building and what to look for. They then texted here and I said please leave at my apartment door. They then left it by the mailboxes. Had to slide my way down on my butt then on the way up a neighbor happened to be coming home and helped me the rest of the way. 😒 like I get it’s a thankless job but grow up, you’re an adult being paid for a service.

First canceled food order

Post image

In the middle of a delivery and got pinged to add a McDonald's order across the street. Waited 30 minutes in the drivethru while the first order kept texting me for eta. Of course Door Dash wanted me to deliver the McDonald's first but this person was waiting 40 plus minutes already so I told her I'd head there first. I guess the McDonald's order didn't like that and canceled.

Nothing against McDonald's but I don't eat this usually. I did drink the Dr pepper and my daughter enjoyed the fries. 🤷‍♂️

Also fuck doordash for putting us in these situations, it's not fair to the customer or the driver's. I knew I should've declined but it was across the street and trying to keep my AR up.

Am I insane for not wanting my food to smell/taste like weed?

• Upvotes

I’ve been informed that then restaurants are also to blame, but leaving my original post below for posterity.

I smoke. Nothing against weed. But unless I’m smoking I’m not a huge fan of the smell.

I constantly run into the issue where a driver has been hotboxing to the point where the smell has seeped through the bag, through the food containers, and onto the food.

I get the job is rough but why? WHY? It’s not safe to drive that way and it makes my food inedible.

More of a rant to the universe than an actual question.

Service fees?

This is getting ridiculous.

If the full amount went to the dasher, I'd be ok. But charging more just because they can is bs. A service fee plus the yearly or monthly fee? Total foolishness and phuckery.

Cooking what I already have and canceling.

Leave it to greedy companies to ruin a good thing.

I was already on my way to make the drop when I was notified the order was canceled. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to return it, but I got paid the full $23.75 at least.

Is this normal?

Post image

Ok I ordered from a semi fancy restaurant that is a little pricey. I very rarely even use DoorDash but this restaurant wouldn’t let me place an order for pickup. The total came out to like $41 and I left a $10 tip, and then I added one item from a grocery store that cost $5.99 and I added a $2 tip. I tipped over 20% which should be fine, right?? Please educate me if i am not tipping properly for doordash. I have heard that if i am asking someone to shop all of my groceries the tips are per item, but this is one restaurant order and one grocery store item.

This order hasn’t been delivered yet so if i need to add more to the tip I still can.

Anyone else getting tired of contract violations because of shops taking their time?

I either wait for the order and get a contract violation

Or I cancel it and lose the pay and the time spent waiting

Stop blaming the damn driver

DoorDash support no help!

• Upvotes

I’m from California so we have the 6 hour wait limit unfortunately after working 12 hours. Anyways I hit my 12 hours at 10:37pm Saturday night. I wait the 6 hours and I start dashing again at 4:45 am on Sunday. I ended a dash at 8:24 to use the bathroom and switch areas and as soon and I do it says I have to wait another 6 hours.

I call support and this lady does not know what I’m talking about first. So I slowly explain it to her. She reviews my account and sees what I’m talking about and states they’re gonna make a claim and review all my information for the system error. She proceeded to tell me that I’ll email me but not to log on today until I hear from them what she said could take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. And I’m pissed because ever since Football started Sundays. It’s always busy everywhere and I can make anywhere from $200to $300. For somebody that does this full-time it’s not right because they’re basically playing with my money in my opinion.
