I haven’t seen her outside of thrift stores or Japan (but since I mainly collect Barbie, maybe I don’t know where to look). So, she’s my first one!

Hello everyone, I am a very selective doll collector, only started buying my first doll 2 years ago now, after facing a life of shame as a dude secretly wishing to own dolls as a form of art and craft. I now own 14 , mostly sea creatures, but there is one that I just fell in love with at first sight and immediately thought of as the ultimate grail doll I could ever own: the pink Adonis PINK! LOVE! POWER! from JHD.

This doll has honestly been my holy grail and most desired since seeing a photo of it, but its existence came to my knowledge too late, and even if I keep browsing the internet every month hoping to find one for sale, it is always at a price way beyond my current monthly rent. I'm also based in the U.K. nowadays and the only affordable ones I've seen over the year were only U.S.-based. I thought that maybe if someone here were ever thinking about selling theirs, they could perhaps find my post like a message in a bottle, so here I am.
I cannot explain why, but this little guy is on my mind every month, everything about him from the colour palette, the textures, the hair, up to the boxing gloves as a martial artist myself: if I could own one doll and only one, it'd be that one.

I’ve been couch surfing for the last three months+ and will finally have a room to myself this weekend. Already put up a few on a shelf in the closet. It’s been so long since I’ve been able to hang out with my collection. As a doll lover, I’ve found it’s rly painful to have them in storage for so long. But alas, I can’t wait to reunite with the rest of them when I finish unpacking!!!🥹💖💗

What are the long skinny zip-up cases that people use to carry dolls called?! I cannot find a picture of what I mean 😔

It’s mad that we got dolls with this level of articulation as playlines, i picked all dolls from Smyths. 2026 is a good year to be a doll enthusiast/collector :D

I ordered Shai Meadows online from Target because she is never in stores and I was able to use the toy discount they had recently. 👍🏼 It came in the mail yesterday, box absolutely demolished. 👎🏼 Was able to return and they told me to keep the doll! 👍🏼 Because the doll box inside was also damaged I figured I would have her be my out of box version. For free pretty sweet. 🎉

Later that day I went to TJ Maxx, spent some time there and on my way out I browsed the toy section as I always do just in case, I FOUND SKULLECTOR BARBIE/FRANKIE!!! 🎉👍🏼 There was only one on a toy table they don't usually have, I think they are set up for Christmas. I have never ever been so lucky at any of the TJ Maxx/Marshalls type stores! I couldn't believe it I was so happy! She didn't have a price. I asked a worker for price, and stupidly said, "She's probably a lot" 🤦🏼‍♀️ Why why why did I say that?!! Ugh.

So then I spent the next what felt like 20 mins standing around waiting for the worker to come back with a price. I heard them asking over their walkies about it as well. No one had a clue what to price her. Finally she came back with the manager and the manager said, $39.99. I was pretty excited about that price and said it was my lucky day to them. 👍🏼 Then I got home and was searching around on here to see if anyone else had found her & other people did and she was priced $29.99 👎🏼😭.

Overall I'm really happy, $39. Is still better than most online listings. & I absolutely love my two new additions to my collection.

Does anyone know how to get the moonspell magic dolls to keep their hats on whilst also able to see the details on them? I can’t seem to get it to stay in place?

Just thought about it as since we all collect dolls, I’m pretty sure there’s a doll or two that you’ve been searching everywhere because you really want it or you can’t afford it at all so you just stare at the available listings yearningly.

There are others I want aside from these but I didn’t list them down because idk the name of the blind box series.

I’ve been trying to repair my monster high dolls, and several of the rubber bands have dry rotted. Does anyone have a good brand of real thin rubber bands, that are the same as the bands the dolls come in. The only ones I have are too thick.
Also does anyone know of a good fine comb? Like realllyyyy fine.
Would appreciate some recommendations!!!

found a little bag of these, I'm sure they at one point had heads that could swap around but I can't figure out what they are since I can't find any brand marks, they are like a few inches tall, can anybody help?

the chest and feet also come away from the legs, so I'm guessing the idea of the doll was mix and match fashion

it feels like a bratz doll knock off since bratz of similar size don't have such dull outfits and the bratz look like they have larger feet

I got her from a charity shop a few hours ago and I just got home (that's why she's still very dirty) and I just thought she was so different than all the other dolls I have since she doesn't have any legs. I'm pretty sure her clothes are sewn into her body but there's also a zip at the bottom of her dress. She's also plastic (I'm pretty sure? She might be rubber) and she blinks. She also looks like a Christmas doll or something you would see at Christmas
