Hi folks. I'm a small solo artist from Scotland. Just released this new track and grateful for any listens or feedback 🎸

[self promo] Setup tip from a one-man band: raising the high E side of the bridge pickup slightly higher (Jackson Warrior, SH-5 in the bridge) gives a sharper, more aggressive bite and evens out string response. Cheap, fast, audible — it's part of why my Monolith solo cuts through. https://youtube.com/shorts/oWFWvSIM7a8

My newish band is dropping our lowest-tuned and catchiest song thus far. It releases 10/30/26 and I’m gonna just leave this here in case anyone likes what they hear. Appreciate you 🫡

I’m looking for albums with a "spacey," sci-fi, Blade Runner-esque vibe. Albums that evoke that futuristic, dark, rainy, yet melodic atmosphere. What I have in mind is stuff like Gru, Widek, some Sithu Aye maybe, stuff like Maiden's Somewhere in Time, for instance, but in prog tech djent. I’d appreciate recommendations for albums in that style. Thanks!

If someone could somehow reach out to them so I could buy one it would be very appreciated... been waiting my whole entire life to get this fucking merch, as I didn't know about this band or djent before I recently started listening in the beginning of 2025, VIA was the first thing I listened to from them and I loved it and thought it was one of the greatest albums of 2011.

Please, I really need help.

I lost her on Sunday, I didn't even get to say anything to her. I went to bed at 2AM and I woke up to my stepdad giving CPR at 6:54 AM. I feel guilty for not staying up longer.. but I also feel like it would have been better for me not to find her like my stepdad did. I've recently been listening to "Vahle" by Volumes which has helped a lot and "Bennie & Kay" By Glaive (which isn't djent ik) but these 2 songs help me get my emotions out, help me express exactly how I am feeling about everything. I was hoping you had similar songs with similar lyrics (not exact but lyrics that will help me remember her) but I also want to have some heaviness too to feel some emotional tension, if someone could please reach out or just comment on here it would be greatly appreciated.

My favorite clean intro, maybe in all of metal

I've been wanting to get into making djent and thall, and I know drum syncopation is important. Issue for me is, every time I try looking up what it is or how exactly it works, I just get confused by technical lingo. Can somebody please explain it to me?

dj0nt. nothing fancy, just some 8-string buffoonery

Seriously tho.
I love making heavy music, and have almost no one organized or talented or free enough to really put something together so it’s always just me. Idk maybe it’s dumb but I think it could be fun. I want to do vocals. So I’m looking for some guitars, a bass. And a drummer, possibly 3 guitar players 🤔 ion know but hmu

Anybody here own a 28” scale 9 string? Considering one day getting a Schecter Hellraiser C-9 and would likely want to tune the whole thing down a half step. So C1 standard I suppose? What gauges would you recommend for something like that? For reference I use 9.5 to 84 for F# Standard/Drop E on my Tao 8.

Hey everyone, this is the first proper single of a project weve been working on for a while, hope someone will like it. Feel free to give feedback, wed love to hear it!
