AI art is bad, it is bad that Devin used it, and this is not up for debate.

Please don't defend AI art here. Art belongs to artists, and nothing good comes of mushing it into amorphous blob that was once someone's creative endeavour, maybe even one they tried to make a meagre living from. I'm sorely and bitterly disappointed my fave musician went down this road, but the original version of this post was needlessly hostile. I apologise for this, but not for the stance.

AI art is not art at all.

It's unfortunate pozers post about how bad AI is then lock comments.

AI is a tool that can be used for many things including the creation and expression of artistic ideas. It's not stealing. It's rendering based on billions of data points. And often takes a lot of work to get exactly what you want.

People who cry about it have some manipulated capitalist mindset and don't really understand use of it in the first place. Take a philosophy of art class then we'll talk. Read Beardsley, or Ryle. I have zero problem with Dev's use of AI as an artistic tool.

Oh and it's not thousands of dollars like Adobe, and 4-5 times the amount of time to create. Like. There is no downside.
