Why are antiAIs so rude?

• Upvotes

We get it. They don't like slop. Blah blah blah

But why go out of your way to comment on every post and every person who uses it and tell them how awful they are?

I don't understand how people think that are the "good ones" while treating others so badly.

Even if I consider the effort argument, which is already flawed, lots of AI art takes more effort than this.

I just love the title (BREATHTAKING, VIBRANT, NATURAL FOREST) LOL it is the same glaze the anti give the random person who post stick figures and call it art.

Defending AI The hatred toward AI on Reddit is slowly fading :D

More and more AI-friendly subs are popping up. Subs for D&D, anime, W40K, etc

And more and more subs that originally didn't allow AI are now accepting AI-generated posts

I'd show the subs, but I don't want my post to get taken down xd

But if you're curious, you can look for them or check my profile. I think they show up there

Luddite Logic "ai art steals from artists without their permission" lol

These are the same people that see no issue with training their own art style off another person's work, but suddenly AI doing it is problematic? In fact it just does the same thing, it takes the art style off an artist. The art produced from the AI is an amalgamation of multiple works of the artist as one new image.

That is the same thing human artists do, who train themselves.. by looking at other peoples works.

yet they never apply the same principle to that. Artists don't even ask the original artist for permission before taking their art style and applying it to their work; in fact, it is normalized to do that among them for whatever reason. They completely demonize AI while seeing no issue with imitating other peoples art styles and profiting off it + they don't ask for permission either.

"Good artists copy, great artists steal" ~Pablo Picasso, probably...

I don't mind artists copying or taking inspiration from others. But if you're just going to recreate something almost pixel-for-pixel and point-for-point, you're barely bringing anything to the table.

It's obvious this person saw the comic somewhere and liked it enough to spend time and effort redrawing it completely unprompted. And it's bizarre watching the flood of "PEAK!!!" comments and people thanking him like he came up with it himself. Not only is the original creator getting zero credit for their concept and visualization, but they're actually getting roasted in the comments for their "slop."

Make it make sense. If the original is so trash, why is it worth meticulous recreation? And doesn't attacking AI artists discourage the kinds of "gems" and "PEAK!!!" ideas people are now clapping for? Without the AI artist, this unoriginal, witless idiot who redrew the comic probably would've had nothing better to do on a Thursday.

Anyway, just venting. The whole thing is quite unfair tbh.

Do you guys think it's a good or bad idea? Is there any appeal for it? And has anyone here done it, and how would I even start it and get people to see? Do you just use hashtags and hope people see your stuff or how to you even kick it off?

Defending AI Antis are moronic toddlers, this is just embarrassing. Now mods are forced to use “slop” too even if it literally doesn’t make any sense to certain ai related posts .
