PLEASE READ
This sub is becoming much more popular, especially with the USA election coming up. Unfortunately, the subreddit rules keep being broken; especially the two biggest rules we have. We as mods do our best to be transparent about how we mod, so this post is a reiteration of those rules.
The main issue is people resorting to ad hominem attacks. This falls under the Reddit content policy, and we will do our best to remove such. You never need abusive language to communicate your point. It is okay to disagree with ideas and suggestions, but do not attack the user.
The second issue is that people keep discussing Reddit issues. Unfortunately, the admins do not allow us to discuss Reddit in this sub because there were some apparent issues in the past. Such posts and comments will be removed. Censorship is much larger than Reddit, and this is a platform to discuss censorship.
We do our best to facilitate open conversation regardless of your viewpoint, but if we continue having repeat offenders, especially of these rules, we will have to ban the repeat offenders.
Don’t forget that we also have a discord. Feel free to join it too!

Anti Censorship Tool - Fuzzz - A decentralized Chrome extension for leaving notes and drawings on any page in the open web — outside any platform's walls. Your marks are cryptographically signed and replicated across a federated network.
I thought this software tool would be applicable to this subreddit. Instead of sitting and watching the world decline into censorship, I decided to do a bit of work on the problem. Its both a chrome extension and a relay network for what the title of this post says and is open source under the MIT license. I am looking for both users and node operators.
I find it particularly matched well for annotating alternative facts, perspectives and tidbits on wikipedia, but it will work on any website. We need more node operators to be able to claim decentralization, and the next version *might* be permission-less with PoS, slashing, node discovery and blockchain involved.

Supreme Court sides with Trump administration in lawsuit seeking records on Elon Musk’s DOGE
What could “the most transparent administration in history” have to hide by failing to release DOGE documents?
Last year, the high court reined in a district court's order for the government to produce DOGE-related records to CREW. The high court's conservative majority concluded in June 2025 that U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled too broadly in ordering documents to be turned over to the group.
CREW claims DOGE is a federal agency and therefore is subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
The Trump administration argues that DOGE is exempt from FOIA's requirements as a presidential advisory body.
Cooper ruled in CREW's favor and ordered expedited processing of the group's records request. An appeals court panel also sided with CREW.
The administration claims the panel ignored the Supreme Court's direction to consider separation-of-powers concerns and intruded on the "autonomy and confidentiality" of presidential advisers.

NC appeals court prohibits victim from posting video of police killing her dogs (she does it anyway)
Per WRAL:
Nikac appealed a lower court's decision restricting her ability to publicly release the recordings. This week, the North Carolina Court of Appeals upheld that ruling, which prohibits public distribution of the videos without further court authorization.
Nikac posted the videos anyway.
"I'm just waiting for a knock at the door for them to serve me or put me in handcuffs because I put the videos out," Nikac said

Court Denies Trump Administration’s Bid to Dismiss Case Challenging ICC Sanctions on First Amendment Grounds | American Civil Liberties Union
…Nevertheless, the court wrote that it had enough to conclude, on the record before it, that “there is a strong likelihood the EO violated Plaintiffs’ First Amendment rights.” The court also wrote that, under the human rights experts’ “reasonable interpretation,” the executive order was “incompatible” with the federal statute the administration invoked as authority for the sanctions.
The court also rejected the administration’s arguments that the human rights experts lacked standing and that their claims were not ready for review.
“The government’s attempt to dismiss our clients’ claims was both predictable and meritless,” said Charlie Hogle, staff attorney with ACLU’s National Security Project. “The First Amendment doesn’t allow the government to impose sweeping limits on what Americans can say and who they can say it to. We’re pleased our clients can continue their important work, and we look forward to continuing to vindicate their rights in court.”
