Pleasure having these guys on the last two nights!

Hey guys, I’m a producer and it’s 6 in the morning. I just woke up thinking about these snare bombs that deathcore bands have been using at their live shows. They’re newish to me, have probably heard hundreds of little snare moments or little fills over the years, but clearly it’s a trend to have these wildly compressed and reverbed-out snares hit after a breakdown at live shows. I love them, obviously. I’ve seen a few videos online at this point and know of the one on the new Turnstile record. For the life of me, I can’t think of any other songs or find anything good searching up snare bomb (lol). I want to use one in a beat or make one at least. Can y’all drop your favorite ones for me? I’m a 33 year old unc who grew up on deathcore and is just now getting back into the genre. I’d also accept extremely poppy, tight baseball snares. I’m trying to figure out exactly what’s going on in the mix so I can recreate the sound without having to sample it.

Can anyone recommend me songs similar to Chicagos finest by emmure and Smoke ya later by the acacia strain? I love these slower almost more melodic songs. They carry more emotional weight sonically and lyrically. Really want to find more stuff that sounds like it

I burned this CD back when I was in middle school and it ended up getting stuck in my dad's truck's CD player. He sold it to a kid a few years back, and I hope he's out there vibing to this.

What song has randomly come on at the venue while the deathcore bands were switching over that you absolutely loved?

For me so far, it's "Sweet Caroline" 😂🖤

I sometimes see comments saying they don't like em because of their Christianity. But other than that, i feel like they really get the respect from the Deathcore community and are highly influential in Modern Deathcore bands (notably Will Ramos, Infant Annihilator). Personally, i think they are amazing and deserve more attention. Nailed Dead Risen is soooooo brutal.

Been working on another song called “The Damned Approach” and I’m pretty fuckin excited about how it’s turning out. It’s gonna be the opening track for a concept album I’m writing that’s partly inspired by Destiny.

I posted a teaser of it but it didn’t really get much traction, so I figured I’d try posting the full thing this time. I feel like there’s just too much going on throughout these songs for a short clip to really capture what I’m going for.

Still looking to get some actual guitars tracked, but I’m really happy with how this one’s coming along. Would love to hear what you guys think.

I want to welcome you to my seemingly endless quest of trying to find one of these hoodies or shirts. The tour it was sold at swung right around me in no man's land (Southern Oregon). I have harassed the band, only to then completely miss when they rereleased it on their website (pic related).

I have a problem. I like deathcore, but I have trouble distinguishing artists and songs. I've listened to many bands and I am interested in seeing what the state of the scene is now, and if the style has diversified since I first began listening a decade ago.

I'm going to a few shows in the next few months --- Suicide Silence, Distant, etc. I just got off of the sawed off suffering tour (wish I snagged that sick asf john halo shirt and the cubone for face yourself but oh well) and I recently saw left to suffer and this new Seattle act called paralysis expletive which went hard, but it didn't feel like anything new, just solid.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Who should I be listening to?

I saw Lorna Shore, Whitechapel and the Acacia Strain perform at John Cain arena last night, and it was amazing.
I’d never really listened to the acacia strain much before, but they fucked live.
Lorna and Whitechapel were the first deathcore bands I listened to, so it was amazing to see them.
I was in the seats, not the pit, as I thought it would be a bit more relaxing for my first time.
