Discussion Would the new Huburis changes work on Darius?

I'm probably wrong, but with Huburis being buffed for melee champs, I thought that Darius' play style in team fights of kinda trying to get a single pick before going in to wipe with rage kinda synergies with hubris ability activating?

Obviously you wouldn't run it where you have a tough lane matchup since it needs to be an early item but I just wanted to know how other people thought about it.

Have a wonderful day y'all! <3

How to counter Darius, a high skill floor and ceiling champ with Stormraider Surge when using Trundle?

Years ago Trundle was one of the only melee counters to Darius top lane besides Fiora and Irelia (only 3 btw) but now after Stormraider Surge + Ghostblade + Swift boots, Trundle no longer wins vs Darius.

Trundle wins long trade but Darius can easily kite him out even with the crappier version of phase rush rune because Darius deals a million damage as a bruiser btw. Trundle Pillar, Q slow, and W is not enough to catch darius.

The Trundle has an option to pick Ghost which in theory would definitely help in gap closing onto Darius however Trundle would have to sacrifice Ignite vs Darius which is pretty rough.

If its Conqueror Darius and Grasp Darius, its ez like before but its pure one sided cancer now if its not these two runes.

Need unbiased help and guidance from knowledgeable players.

Im a low elo Trundle Top Lane main who is trying to forfeit from playing Jayce. I could go Jayce 100% win lane always but this champ is 5 times harder than Trundle and Darius and very exhausting to play.

Edit: I always try 1v1 level 1 anyone in toplane, its just this match alone Darius somehow lives even after ignited but then since I won lane, my wave pushed against him and my wave loves kissing enemy tower.

Thanks in advance everyone

Help deciding which skin to buy

So, with the return of the Legendary Your Shop, I got Dunkmaster Darius at a 50% discount. However, I was thinking about buying Mecha Kingdoms Darius, so I wanted to ask for your input on which I should buy.

Jax??!!??

I am a low elo player (silver-gold) I was steamrolling through my games winning lane almost everytime then suddenly in back to back two games I get Jax as an opponent and I can’t do anything against him, I know the trick to counter his e with my e but he never lets me do it it’s super annoying. Do I accept that Jax is just a champion you can’t play against?

League of Legends How do you guys math the ult mid battle

How am I suppose to know if my ult will execute without five stacks or that 5 stacks will activate the ad buff on passive and change the number again completely on the R? The tool tip number for max damage is completely unhelpful because it doesn't incorporate the ad passive into the total damage, and there is never a time where the max damage will not change with 5 stacks. Do we just do the math on the fly or do we look at the hp bar till it is roughly 1/3?

Stormraiders Surge Opinions

Is there anyone here D3+ who doesn't go Youmoos into SR? I see a lot of complaints about it on the sub but I feel like it's made the game very fun this season. I also feel like the rune / component path with home guards is insane. As Darius we usually get prio = cheater recall and coming back to lane with a longsword refillable. Then proccing SR is an auto W Q. I just feel like it's so fun and you have so much more kill pressure than with conq. Obviously match up specific, but I prefer SR 99% of the time.

Just curious if there's anyone who climbs into high diamond + that doesn't run it?

I have seen some off meta builds, but I'm talking does anyone only go triforce / stride and have success with it still?

League of Legends Darius feels very hard these days

I used to main Darius two seasons back, and he was an absolute juggernaut and powerhouse. Nowadays his role seems changed entirely. My go to build back then was stride into steraks, deadman's and whatever other hp items I want with occasional jak'sho.

Now he feels like he lost all of his tankiness. He gets outtraded badly by some champs he used to bully and people now have to get around it with stormsurge. I'm not a fan of this rune, I don't want to play lilia when I'm on darius, but this is the meta and I get it. It seems all of Darius's survivability comes from his mobility, so it's swifties, yomuu (which I still don't like) deadmans and force of nature. And he isn't even tanky with them! One stun and you are dead in the water. His entire kit depends on your summs being up and on you not being kited. Guess what. This season toplane is a clownfest of Varuses, Viktors and other's which grab a ghost to match you and just perma-kite.

I basically sit miserably 0/2 for laning phase with half the minions and look for roams. And he still is a pretty good teamfighter. I occasionally go from lost lane 0/4 to 4/4 in one teamfight when I pop off the stacks. Still, the champ I knew and loved is gone. His frontline build feels bad, and his stormsurge build feels too squishy.

A newish build that feels familiar to be is triforce + jaksho, which kinda resembles the darius I remember, but it's just not the same.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just the state of the champ for now?
