I bought my son some black AF1s with the plan to customize them with printable tattoo paper because tiktok made it look so easy. I painted the intended area with acrylic paint, but the tattoo will not stick. Has anyone else successfully done this? Or are permanent vinyl stickers an option?

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows whether this is a realistic project for a newbie and what it would cost? Apologies in advance if this is an offensive request as im new to custom sneakers.

Mainly doing this as the heel of my Sweet 16s, like the typical issue with them and their heel decals, has faded out and just plan on removing then and customizing the heel with my own logos.
is there any tips on what materials I should use? especially with the process or paint as I believe typical paint for shoes wont work due to the type of material kobe 6s have. Appreciate the tips in advance

I’m trying to repaint this pair of AJ1’s to a brighter red and I don’t know quite how to go about covering the wings logo. What’s the best way to cover it perfectly so I can paint every bit of red on the outside of the logo without touching any of the wings logo?

Latest cleats for my son. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month he and his team wear pink accessories for every game. He wanted something like the cement pattern on his daily wear Jordans but “bigger” lol! I’m happy with how they turned out and, more importantly, so is he. This is my second pair using the KixKote system. Hand painted (no airbrushing) and no real issues with the process this time, including applying and removing vinyl stencils. Looking forward to him beating the hell out of them for the next month to really stress test the durability. Cheers all!

Designed these myself through miadidas years ago. They were never mass produced, just a one-off, and I haven't produced them since or plan to. Just sharing.
The idea came from the line in "Fight the Power" about heroes not appearing on any stamps, so I gave them some. Featuring Biggie, 2Pac, Rakim, Chuck D, Nas, KRS-One and more.
Curious what you think of the colorway and stamp layout.

Thinking about coffee dying these to a super light brown basically beige. They had a sand beige color way but are all sold out. My main concern is that the rubber sole and suede upper won’t exactly match in color. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you

I painted these for my brother! He’s running a marathon in support of an animal shelter. The dogs aren’t painted, I used DTF thingies for them.
I’ve very proud of these though!😁

My 2023 wings started flaking. With prices low, I decided to freehand a chicago/blackToe custom. Doing the edges was time consuming. But I still dont trust the tape. Hard for me to get it between panels.

Does anyone know where I can buy small peel and stick stencils to upcycle a pair of plain white sneakers? I have shoe paint but I can’t find adhesive stencils anywhere online. I know people use cricut machines to create custom stencils but that’s not in my budget right now. Does anyone know a site that sells peel and stick stencils? Or have any other ideas for how I can upcycle these sneakers?

I love taking classic SB designs and fitting them on new color ways. This was a simple one that turned out very clean and wearable. The base shoe used is in the last picture (Ib6399 002).
Process:
-Angelus Deglazer on the areas to be painted
-Cricut Joy Xtra was used to cut the stencil
-Angelus flat black applied via airbrush
-Removal of stencil and touch up
-Angelus Matte 4 Coat top finisher, brushed on

I have some cardinal jordan 7s that soles are starting to separate, I put some barges cement and held them together for 24 hours with rubber bands. It worked for a few wears, then came apart again.
Any advice on what I am doing wrong?

Hello, this is my first time painting shows and I’m looking to paint the navy section where the laces loop through to a powder blue. Would I need to sand this section or would some acetone suffice? With Angelus paint, would I need to mix in 50% 2 hard to have the paint stick to it?
