Winner is the Judge #912: Take Two
Thanks to u/sumg for running last week's competition!
Recently, an idea that's stuck with me is how often a card design comes from just trying to revisit an older card. People love riffs whether they're colorshifts, new members of a cycle, or just an attempt to fix an old design mistake. For Wizards, that obviously can only come from official cards, but since this community is all about custom cards why not look back at those instead?
Your challenge for this week is to revisit a previous custom card idea you've designed, and try something new with it! This is pretty broad, so I'm willing to allow a lot. I'll give some examples of things that are allowed, but really anything goes if it fits with the prompt. You could:
- Do a second take on a card that you liked
- Make a new card using a custom mechanic you've made
- Try to adapt an idea you previously scrapped
- Rework a previous submission for a contest like Winner is the Judge
- Design a card that fits into a custom faction you've come up with
If you don't have anything you want to revisit from your own designs, you can also go for your own take on someone else's card/idea. Just make sure to give proper credit to your inspiration if you do so!
While you don't need to provide the original design you were inspired by for your submission unless you want to, bonus points if you do describe the original idea you adapted. It can be as brief or detailed as you want, I'm just interested to see how these ideas evolved.
Judging will occur on Sunday, October 11. Be sure to let me know if you'd like any feedback on your design or if you have any questions!
EDIT: Congratulations to this week's winner: u/Proteusmutabilis! There were a lot of fun designs this week, so again, be sure to let me know if you'd like to hear my thoughts on yours.

Format: EDH/Commander A Tea Party
Art is "A Tea Party" by Alfred Leopold Isidor
My boyfriend and I designed this together after seeing the art posted by another user on the DarkGothicArt sub.
This enchantment should really put the pressure on everybody and accelerate the end game.
The ward is to justify the high cost and provide that tension where one opponent has to take on the burden of an extra poison counter in order to save everyone else.
"Food artifact" and "food token" are used specifically and intentionally. May Ygra players enjoy :)
An earlier version read "on each player's upkeep, that player sacrifices a food artifact and gets 2 poison counters", and while that broke parity it also lacked a certain tension and was too slow.
I'm sure this has been done before but oh well :P just wanna have fun with Halloween customs

Question Command Help
I'm making a custom commander set based in the echoverse. I've already made a cycle of the 2016 commanders as monocolor partners. i also was thinking of making a cycle of commander's Will spell around them. but i'm faced with writers block with mechanics for the modal effects for the spells and hoping for ideas.

Format: EDH/Commander A spell more destructive than Worldfire?
To my knowledge the absolute most destructive spell in all of magic is currently [[Worldfire]]. I started asking myself: "What if there was a spell more destructive than Worldfire?" Here is what I came up with.

Sklavebrant, aka Ceremonial Knife's big brother
I felt it's been a while since we last got any blood support, so i figured I'd make a card that could let you go for a tall win if you had a lot of blood (don't worry about the wording of the second ability, it's not important).
