So as title says im making a modpack everything has been working fince since but there is 1 issue which I have Im trying to get shaders into it worked before but then they decided one time to stop and just crash every time so I uninsalled sodium and what ever other shader loader mod I had and game works fine now I tried with iris this time but no game crashes instantly i remove it game runs fine no problems I dont understand why it is crashing its been fine all day up until now any help is appriciated

i'm having this issue with the launcher, where it is using a LOT of ram when it shouldn't be using almost any, in this case the launcher was simply just open, no game open, no downloads being made, nothing.
im on arch linux with kde plasma on wayland, has someone experienced a issue like this before? does someone know what i could do?

I'm having a problem with some Minecraft modpacks launched through CurseForge.

When I launch certain modpacks, Minecraft gets stuck on the red Minecraft screen. The game freezes and then closes by itself before reaching the main menu. I don't get an error message.

What I've tested:

• Vanilla Minecraft works fine.
• The Pokémon modpack works fine.
• Prehistoric World 1 crashes.
• Prehistoric World 2 crashes.
• One Piece (Mine Piece) crashes.
• I've already tried disabling shaders, but it didn't fix the problem.
• I've checked the logs, but I haven't found a clear crash report identifying the exact cause.

My PC:

• Dell Vostro 15 3510
• Intel Core i3-1115G4 (11th generation)
• Intel UHD integrated graphics (no dedicated GPU)
• 16 GB RAM
• Windows 11
• CurseForge launcher

Since vanilla Minecraft and the Pokémon modpack work, I'm wondering whether the problem could be related to a mod, a mod dependency, Forge, or a configuration shared by the modpacks that crash.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Does anyone know how to identify the exact cause from the logs?

I'm having a performance issue with modded Minecraft, and I'm not sure what's causing it. I'm hoping someone here can help me figure it out.

My PC specs:

• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER (12 GB VRAM)
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
• RAM: 32 GB DDR5
• Launcher: CurseForge
• Allocated RAM: 10 GB

The problem:

Minecraft starts stuttering after a few minutes badly. This can happen even when I'm standing still or sitting in the game settings menu. The issue usually lasts around a minute, then everything goes back to normal and then again stuttering. It happens in every bigger modpack I try (stoneblock 4, ATM10, ragnamod VII)

During these periods:

• System RAM usage reaches around 99%.
• Dedicated GPU memory usage reaches approximately 10.7/12 GB.
• GPU 3D utilization sometimes spikes to 90–100%.
• The OpenJDK Platform Binary process uses around 7 GB of RAM.

When I close Minecraft, system RAM usage drops back to around 32%.

I've also tried closing background applications such as Brave, but that didn't help. Other games run normally, so I'm wondering if this is related to the Java, a memory leak, or some graphics settings.

Other games run normally (cyberpunk, witcher 3 remaster, wardogs, ect.)

I recently had my PC serviced so it shouldn't be a problem with my PC, physically at least.

Does anyone know what could cause this?

I am attempting to use the distant horizons mod along with the chunky mod to preload the chunks. I can open the game just fine, but every time I attempt to join the world, the game crashes.

The crash logs give me no hint as to what the problem could be.

Currently playing on 1.20.1, but have the same issue over multiple versions of Minecraft.

I am able to join the world successfully if I disable one of the two mods, but I can't use both together.

I attempted to load into the world, use chunky to load the chunks, then disable it and use distant horizons, but then can't see any of the loaded chunks.

Is there any known way to fix this or get it to stop crashing?
