Lizard Skinner and Lord Hate are playing a show this Halloween. It's going to be punk adjacent and not at all involved with Rocky Presents, luckily. Lizard Skinner is kind of diverse in their sound and Lord Hate's a little more raw and punk leaning, but both are definitely synth punk.

This is going to be at a place that used to work as a local house venue called "The Mansion". It's no longer called that, but if you remember where that is, then you'll be at the right place. Flyer has the details otherwise.

This show is ALL AGES and FREE. We will have door people taking optional donations for the performers and staff, essentially monitoring everyone that comes in, and making sure there's no underage drinking. If you ass out at this show you will not be invited back.

This town/scene hasn't had a proper house show for like five years, so it you've never been to one, and were too young for The Mansion, now's your chance.

What are the best places for brunch in coos bay? Preferably somewhere that does mimosas

Who’s doing the burning in empire the last 2 days?

Not associated with this business at all but wanted to share -
A group of friends and I went out to the pumpkin patch at Mahaffey Ranch (Millicoma River) over the weekend, and I’m encouraging you all to go check it out! I grew up in CB and had no idea it was up there. Stunningly beautiful scenery and a gorgeous property with a nice pumpkin patch, animal petting area, horses to ride, a corncob air cannon (so fun!), a hayride and lots of delicious homemade treats (cider slushies, yum).
It’s like a Hallmark movie up the river! Take your family/kids/friends and be charmed by the magic of autumn and delicious pumpkin cake.

Hello everyone! I’m planning on attending SWOCC and possibly living in coos bay for a few years, i’m from california and have NEVER been to oregon before.

I’m just interested in hearing from people who have lived there, what is the experience like, especially as a younger person?

I’m also a person of color, so i’m also interested in hearing how people from different backgrounds felt living there, Thanks yall!

Howdy All,

Just moved up here a couple months back and finding work has not been a walk in the park.

I do manual labor and heavy lifting.

I do gardening and yard work.

I’m perfectly content lifting hay, concrete, boxes or barrels and enjoy being on my feet.

I’m currently clearing yards of blackberry bushes and weeds to cover rent.

I’m also a martial arts instructor, fitness coach, and nutritionist. I lift 450lbs squatting, and 300 dead lifting. If you are looking for some martial arts training, I’ve worked with mma practitioners and boxers of every age.

I’m great with animals and I’m also not bad around electronics.

I recently designed and built room temperature super conductors.

I have 4 of them but no one is buying so there’s not much I can do there.

Let me know if you need an extra pair of hands! I’m not going anywhere.

I have most of my own tools. Shovel, rake, clippers, machete, etc.

9am chainsaws right next to your bedroom is a horrible way to start the weekend. Guys were jerks, too. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS

What does everyone use to post or look for rentals? I’ve been using Zillow but not many postings there.

Is there a discord or a local group of video gamers, fps, strategy games, or any games in general. If not, someone should make a discord.

I have tried going into some of these video game stores, but everytime I start a general conversation about tabletop games, they already have their core group and aren't open or make it difficult to join in.

It seems so hard to actually meet anyone in this town who actually games or in general a 3rd space to attempt to get to know anyone in any shape or way.

Which is the sad part. Like what happened to casual people, just grilling out?

More information below. Thanks for reading!

I used to buy 50 lb bags of perlite from Bully Garden Supply, but apparently they're permanently closed according to Google Maps. Does anyone have any recommendations where I can go for large bags of perlite and cheap grow trays?

Did anyone hear multiple gunshots by oak park in north bend? Sounded like a semi automatic. Happened around 8:30 pm and again around 9:20.

Join us for Gmax Cinderace today at 2:00 PM! We're meeting at the Coos Bay Visitor Center by the boardwalk, then heading around downtown to battle and catch. We’ll be placing mossy lures for applin spawns 🍏🍎

Where do you all go for vehicle maintenance like oil changes, brake repairs, etc?
Are there trusted mechanics in CB or NB?

I'm looking for a barber that does great work on beards in the Coos Bay/North Bend area -- someone that can do a nice fade and some basic styling. Something beyond a basic trim.

Any recommendations?

I’m developing a series of impressionist artworks of Bandon Oregon. I would love recommendations of images to capture that showcase living in Bandon. I have many images of the beach. I would like ideas of other images that reflect the life and lifestyle. Think of how Monet would capture Bandon if he visited. Not just the beach.

Have some family coming into town and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for where to rent quads in particular.
Also up for input on where to ride, I know the different access points come with different experiences.
Thanks!

Does anyone know what the backstory of the current state of SWOCC's swim team is? More specifically, their longstanding coach was all of a sudden out early in the 2025 season. Then the assistant stepped in. Now a brand new coach. The team seems to be ~8 swimmers, but last year's freshman were over 15 (so assumption would be most of them would move up, plus whatever new freshman this year). Curious if the issues are being felt by swimmers. Maybe the program is not as high caliber. Other concerns?

I was just hoping to get some more insight into what might be going on. My younger child is looking at the school as a potential option for community college years.

I appreciate any info you all have. Thank you!

Maria Padgett was also Treasurer of the Coos Youth Auction. Hope y'all got your receipt from her! She was also Treasurer for Coos 4H Association and the South Coast Livestock show.

Does anyone have recommendations for interior painters? TIA

Pretty much the title. Looking to get a tattoo while imup there in a few months. I like fine line and details, and would prefer to lean into someone who does this type of work regularly. I have a design, it's a simple outline, no/minimal shading. Thanks!!

I have boxes to move to a storage unit. Any cheap movers for less than $250?

Hi! I was curious on what everyone's utilities in coos bay-North bend area sorta look like? What would you consider your highest utility bill?
