Chuck Taylor All Star Malden Street Sneaker Boot - Water Repellent
Hey all.
So I picked up my first pair of Converse shoes about a year ago. They were a pair of Chuck Taylor All Star Hugh Street Mid Sneakers in mono black. At least that's whats on my order email I got.
I wore em for less than a year before they wore out hard. They're the canvas type. Super comfortable and I'm still sad they're kinda ruined. One day I felt my feet soaking wet and I noticed they were kinda falling apart underneath. You can kinda see in the pics.
I should have reached out to support to get a new pair but I guess I was just lazy.
Recently been looking for waterproof shoes as winter is coming and to my surprise found these water repellent Chucks at a local store. They didn't have my size and the store clerk said they couldn't find any online or nearby and they weren't being made any longer?
I searched online and found a pair of 13s on another site.
They arrived this week and they are sooooo nice.
Super comfortable. They are a wider fit than the first pair I had. Which is great for me.
Soles are removable. Kind of a fleece lining inside so they keep your feet very warm. I'm in love with them. Hoping they hold up and I'll make sure I take care of them.
Just wanted to share a quick review and see what other people think of em.
Still want to grab another pair of the canvas style for spring cause damn they're just so light and airy. Big fan.

Find your zen one matcha at a time. Matcha is an excuse to post my pair of Chuck 70 Plus X-Hi today.
How do I like my matcha? Bitter like my heart and how my mornings start (ba dum tsh).

Converse CONS 95 suede looks faded and uneven straight out of the box — is this normal?
I got a new pair of Converse CONS 95 today, and I've noticed that the black suede-like material on the upper has some patches that look faded or discoloured.
The colour looks uneven in certain areas, and running my hand over the material doesn't seem to change the appearance much. I'm not sure whether this is normal for suede or whether it's a manufacturing/finishing defect.
I've attached a few photos for reference.
For those who own the Converse CONS 95 or have experience with Converse suede shoes:
Is this kind of uneven colouring normal for this model?
Could it be a characteristic of the suede, or does it look like a defect?
Should I keep them, try brushing the material, or request an exchange while they're still brand new?
I'd appreciate any advice, especially from other CONS 95 owners. Thanks!

Can I remove it without causing damage?
I’d like to remove this rubbery logo piece, I think it will just make the tongue lay more smoothly against my foot/ankle. It looks like I should be able to just go from behind with a seam ripper and remove it without damaging the canvas, but these are my first Converse. Any input is appreciated!

When did the quality of CTAS get this bad?
My CTAS that I bought about 5 years ago and were my every day shoes, vs my CTAS that I bought last month. Didn’t notice how different the badge material was at first either. My old ones definitely feel a lot less cheap and papery, but they’re both still made in Vietnam.

On the topic of Nike selling
I think the best thing we could hope for is that Converse Japan (or rather the conglomerate that owns it, Itochu) is able to buy the remaining portion of the licensing and brand from Nike's ownership.
I think Converse Japan has demonstrated a much better understanding of the market demand for the shoes, leaning more heavily into a heritage brand aesthetic and trying to create and produce products that more closely resemble what people "remember." I don't even think this has to come at a huge cost increase, as Converse Japan already offers a variety of build qualities and varying price points. I've tried sneakers from Japan at all price points and they all seem to hold up better than what Nike is producing.
Lastly, I think it would be funny just to have another 7-11 type situation. Where 7-11, as a fairly standard convenience store in the US, found immense success in Japan and the Japanese subsidiary of 7-11 went on to buy out the company and rights to the brand in full.

How to clean brown smudged dirt
Hey guys, how do you remove/clean a brown dirt that spread/smudged like this? I already washed and brushed the shoe but it's still present. 😢 This is an Ox's Sneakers Converse.

Never just a vibe, a lifestyle✨️😌
Red Chucks were never just a flash moment. They kind of became a big part of my personality and sometimes being the main character is fun! 🥳👀 Although I love to have my peace most of the time it's sometimes a welcomed difference. I've just realized that people in today's society tend to be more negative. People rarely compliment you on what you wear or how you look. It's always negative things - kind of sad tbh.
The Converse community is the polar opposite - that's why you fellow Chuckers are the best! Chuck along ❤️
