What's the best way to keep a complete backup of your Coinbase transaction history?

• Upvotes

For those who've used Coinbase for several years, how do you keep your transaction records organized and accessible?

I'm curious whether most people rely on the regular transaction history export, download account statements periodically, or maintain their own spreadsheet with deposits, withdrawals, trades, and fees.

I'd especially like to know whether the CSV export includes everything needed for accurate recordkeeping or if there are transactions that require downloading separate reports.

What method has worked best for you, and are there any common gaps in Coinbase's transaction history that people should watch out for?

Need help getting historical statements from deleted coinbase account

Hello everyone, I tried looking all over the web but I have had no luck. I deleted my coinbase account a month ago when I started a new job and for compliance reasons I need to show historical account statements. Does anyone know how I can easily contact coinbase to resole this? I tried contacting their numbers but always get stuck at an automated voice and it fails since it does not reconginze my phone number being connected to an account since its deleted. Anyone have any ideas how i can fix this?

New phone but Coinbase wallet not recognising Passkey to access wallet

Hi everyone

I’ve recently had to get a replacement iPhone as I broke my previous one. I’ve managed to transfer everything over via iCloud, including passkeys, for which I had one for Coinbase and Coinbase wallet. I can see that the Passkey is stored in my phone via iPhone settings/passwords. However, Coinbase Wallet doesn’t seem to be recognising the passkey I have saved in my phone and I therefore can’t sign into my wallet.

Coinbase wallet allows me to access a wallet through email but it does this by sending a temporary code to my email account, I then enter the temporary code and can access a wallet, but it’s not the correct wallet (as it has no coins in). All very strange.

I’ve followed all the guidance on Coinbase support - I’m using the same Apple ID, and Passkeys are synced etc. but for some reason, Coinbase wallet is not identifying the passkey. I can’t seem to import it - it says “you don’t have any passwords or passkeys saved for this app” when I try to import/use an existing passkey.

I can use other passkeys fine since I transferred to the new phone. For instance, it’s working fine when logging into Amazon.

Has anyone else had this issue? Can anyone please help. I had a lot of my portfolio in that wallet, now I’m really concerned I won’t be able to access it. Totally confused my this situation.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise/help

Restricted, told it was "resolved," then restricted again over a $30 deposit from my own bank. Here's the full timeline.

TL;DR: I tried to deposit $30 from my own bank account. Within 24 hours, Coinbase told me my buy and deposit access was disabled, then that only one transfer was declined, then that there was no restriction, then that it "has since been resolved," and then that the decision stands and can't be reversed. I verified my ID and offered every document they could want. Nobody used any of it.

What happened
I hadn't used my account in a while. I updated my bank, email, and address (all me, all in my name), then tried a $30 ACH deposit. It didn't go through.
Oct 20, 1:34 AM: Support escalated my case for fraud review.
1:51 AM: Asked to verify my identity. Done.
1:52 AM: Email: "review completed," buy and deposit "remain disabled," no further info.
Morning: Senior agent says a payment risk team has to investigate, usually 14–30 days.
~7 AM: Payment risk team says only one transfer was declined and my payment methods "remain available."
~10 AM: Support says there's no restriction. I send the email proving there was. Then: "This has since been resolved."
Oct 21, ~12:30 AM: Restricted again. Support says the decision stands, can't be reversed through support, ticket closed.
My bank confirmed the $30 never even reached them. Coinbase blocked it internally.

What bothers me
I understand fraud checks, and I get why a dormant account with fresh changes might get flagged. But:
I offered bank statements, proof of email access, and proof of address. There was no way to submit any of it.
I got at least five different answers about my account status from different teams.
Support couldn't do anything except escalate, and the people making decisions are unreachable.
I've filed a complaint with NY DFS, which licenses Coinbase in New York.

If this happens to you
Screenshot everything with timestamps.
Ask support to confirm your account status in writing.
NY residents can file with DFS. Anyone in the US can file with the CFPB.
Your crypto stays accessible. You can still sell, send, and withdraw.
Watch for scammers. Real Coinbase support won't DM you, and fake "support numbers" are all over Google.
Has anyone gotten bank deposits restored after something like this? What worked?

What’s one Coinbase feature you didn’t appreciate until you actually needed it?

When you first start using Coinbase, it’s easy to focus on buying, selling, and checking prices. But the longer you use a crypto platform, the more you start noticing the little things that make a difference.

It could be clear transaction histories, withdrawal status updates, security notifications, or simply being able to understand where your money went without digging through multiple screens.

I’m curious which features people here consider genuinely useful in everyday use, especially the ones that don’t get much attention.

Sometimes the most valuable feature isn’t the one that helps you make a trade, but the one that makes managing your account less confusing.

Blog Is that crypto giveaway real? How to spot the scam

TL;DR: If a giveaway asks you to send crypto to receive a prize, get more crypto back, or “verify” your wallet, stop. It’s a scam. Don’t send funds or scan a QR code unless you’ve independently verified where it leads.

Fake giveaways can appear in livestreams, videos, social posts, messages, or websites. Scammers may copy familiar logos and impersonate companies or public figures. Some use convincing AI-generated video or audio. A polished presentation doesn’t make an offer legitimate.

Watch for promises to multiply your crypto, pressure to act fast, or QR codes and wallet addresses you can’t verify. Check an organization’s official website or verified channels separately; don’t rely on links or contact details in the promotion.

Coinbase will never ask you to send crypto to verify a wallet or claim a prize, promise to multiply crypto you send, or pressure you with a livestream countdown.

If you already sent funds, contact Coinbase Support, report the post or account to the platform where you saw it, and keep relevant details such as links and transaction information. Don’t pay anyone who promises to recover your funds for a fee; that may be another scam.

Blog How are people and businesses using stablecoins outside banking hours?

TL;DR: New research from Coinbase and The Block Pro Research finds that 73% of the stablecoin transfer volume they screened took place outside U.S. banking hours. The report looks at how dollar-denominated stablecoins are used for payments and what always-on settlement could mean for people, businesses, and financial institutions.

Banks and payment networks don’t operate around the clock, but people and businesses work across time zones. Stablecoins—digital tokens designed to track the value of a currency like the U.S. dollar—can move on blockchain networks at any hour.

A few findings from the report:

  • More than $400 million in stablecoin transfers per hour. In the screened transfer volume, 73% occurred outside U.S. banking hours.
  • A lower-cost remittance example. The report estimates that sending a $200 remittance in USDC on Base costs about 86% less than a traditional transfer.
  • Stablecoin transaction volume is growing. The report measured $891 billion in adjusted transaction volume in Q3 2026 and estimates it could reach about $1.5 trillion per quarter by the end of 2027 if the current growth rate continues.
  • Traditional finance is exploring onchain settlement. The report says seven of the ten largest U.S. banks have tested stablecoins or tokenized deposits for settlement, while the other three have announced plans to do so.

These figures describe activity and estimates in the report; they don’t mean every stablecoin transfer is a payment or that every user will see the same costs. The report also examines potential benefits for businesses and payment providers, along with how AI agents could use always-on financial infrastructure.

When did coinbase get this bad

Used them since the early days for small transactions, never really had a problem.

Trying to send a relatively small amount for a purchase. Have had to verify several times. Have had it denied and canceled several times..customer service is useless.

Getting to the point where I'm actually curious if they are holding my money hostage.

What the hell is going on

被Coinbase冻结的第122天

我已经向欧洲金融监管机构CSSF和FSPO举报
Coinbase

Case number:27302381
我会向更多监管机构举报,直到拿回属于我的钱
如果举报无效,采取法律手段起诉Coinbase

Coinbase transaction history needs a better way to explain what actually happened to your money

One thing that would make Coinbase much easier to use is a more transparent transaction history.

When you buy, sell, convert, transfer, or move crypto between wallets, the activity list doesn't always make it immediately obvious how the final balance was calculated. Fees, exchange rates, network costs, and pending transactions can make it difficult to reconcile what you expected to happen with what actually happened.

A useful transaction detail page would show everything in one place:

  • The exact amount before fees and the amount received.
  • Every fee charged, clearly separated by type.
  • The exchange rate used for conversions.
  • The transaction status, including what is pending and what has settled.
  • A clear explanation when the displayed balance changes for a reason other than a new transaction.

This would be especially helpful when reviewing activity from several days or weeks ago, rather than trying to piece together the details from separate screens.

I think clear accounting is just as important as adding new features to a financial platform.

For those who use Coinbase regularly, what's the one transaction detail you've had the hardest time understanding or verifying?

Coinbase Blockchain Platform Senior Engineer interview

Sharing a candidate's question:

Hi guys!

I have an upcoming interview at Coinbase in the Bay Area for a Senior Engineer role on their Blockchain Platform team. Anybody interviewed for a similar role at Coinbase recently? I would love to hear:

  • Your perspective on the system design round, particularly what they tend to focus on and how you’d recommend preparing.
  • How was the AI coding round? I heard that was implemented this year...
  • What parts of your interview did you find difficult?
  • Anything unexpected show up during your rounds?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

For general coding and system-design practice, Coinbase Interview Questions has prompts to work through. Disclosure: I work on PracHub.

Unable to login because no OTP password sent

I have been using user name, password and OTP procedure for years.

Now suddenly you can't send the OTP after three tries.

My phone is fine. My WiFi is fine. My SMS is fine. Everything works.

What doesn't work is receiving the OTP after three tries.

Then I try to go to the document method and it says use the camera to scan the bar code. How does that work?

So the only other option is use the Webcam. I don't HAVE a Webcam.

I downloaded the Coinbase app and it DOES EXACTLY THE SAME THING. So I tried using the document upload. I uploaded the front and back of my Driver's License and then my face.

And then it asked to me do it ALL OVER AGAIN.

How the hell can I login to your service?

Uncredited deposit

Good day.

I don't understand why support team in Coinbase app is can't talk properly and they are not consistent on answer.

October. 4 when I reported my missing deposit

I reported it to support and told me to wait 14 days for review.

Yesterday I followed up and I talk to Christ John. He told me that the conclusion in my case is it will be credited today.

I also contacted to Ms Pamila. She also told me this

***No worries the case is not closed yet, we are expecting that the funds will be credited back in your coinabse on the 14th day which is date on October 19, 2026.****

Now exactly 14days of crediting I follow up again and charise Anne is not consistent with answer something like she is not connecting me in specialist to credit my fund... Please review my case some of your support in chat is not working properly and cresting personal conclusion in order to end the chat fast.

Here is my ticket number.

My fund should be credited today like Pamela and Chris John say.

As a Multi Millionaire investor I was so disappointed with my experience in your support in the app.

27645025 - main ticket

27713557 - Pamela ticket wher she say fund will be credited 100%

27726922 - I will cris John he also says it will be credited today.

But at the end Charisse Anne don't want to assist me carefully she didn't even connect me to specialist and create her own conclusion

How to change my address in the app?

Does anybody know how can I change my address in the app? They keep asking me to confirm my details for the tax papers but I can't confirm that my details are correct because this goddamm buggy app does not let me change my address. I know where to change the address in the app, but it just still does not save it. Has anyone encountered this and if yes how have you resolved it?

I'm a victim of Fraud by Coinbase via Unjust Enrichment

Someone at Coinbase needs to actually do something Ive been fighting tooth and nail to get the money back off of an annual membership that Coinbase already approved the refund for.....

It's been a whole month now and Coinbase keeps saying that PayPal has the money but PayPal has looked at the transaction and can literally see it in the Coinbase account as fully completed.

Coinbase says they can't refund me because PayPal has the funds. This is not true and was made up. You guys have had a whole month now and from the very beginning I said to just log into your PayPal account and you will see it! You've closed out all my tickets and Royally screwed me over I've already made ic3 and CFPB reports.

Coinbase hasn't done anything at all to even be considered 1/8th of half a a crap about what's going on. Apparently they don't care and defrauding a customer of 11 years to them is where they plan on standing firm. I'm clueless as to why they think they can just manufacture a transaction failing or being reversed when that never happened.

Just log into your PayPal account and look at my transaction and see that it's been with you this entire time. You people are so messed up in the head and you all deserve to be locked up over All of these other people you have stolen from. Pathetic

Collection agency

Does coinbase use third party collection agency for unpaid balance in case of bank chargeback, if yes can anybody share experience, how it works? How long do they give you to pay it off, will they sent it to collection agency or you just can’t use coinbase anymore? Amount is around 1000$
