League FUR JoJo after defeating C9: "I have no idea about what's wrong with [C9]. I feel like they... I don't know, they feel kinda lost in-game. [...] I don't think they are bad players at all, like individually. I think the group [maybe] can't handle pressure."
From an NAmen interview highlight posted on Twitter. I can't post it on the wider r/ lol subreddit because of spoilers, so for C9 fans who (smartly) don't have twitter, I decided to post it here. Let me know if you have any questions.
Q: Do you think C9 played at the same level today as yesterday?
JoJo: I'm not sure, I think they were playing better yesterday — but we were also playing really bad yesterday, so it's hard to judge them on that. But I felt like today they were... I don't know. They felt a little desperate, I think.
Q: I agree. Especially later in the series.
JoJo: Yeah. So I'm not sure if that's their level, you know? I'm just not sure. They seem very stressed.
Q: Honestly, what do you think is wrong with C9? NA fans are so mad at them right now.
JoJo: I have no idea about what's wrong with them. I feel like they... I don't know, they feel kinda lost in-game. Like sometimes, they're just like, “We have to group, we have to be together, let's do something as five” — and I don't think that's how the game works today.
I feel like they get lost in-game, and then they are just throwing the games, or putting themselves in bad spots. But I don't think they are bad players at all, like individually. I think the group is just... I don't know. Maybe they can't handle pressure.

It's just blaber -- every team this guy has been on that hasn't explicitly played a "support the blaber" comp has floundered. He might be the best junger ever; but he's deficient everywhere else but early game jungling.

Good teams are greater than the sum of their individual parts. I think the C9 players are all decent, and guys like Blaber and Vulcan were the best in the region during earlier parts of their career, but the slate needs to be wiped.
I don’t want to see another carousel of swapping in a few imports or mediocre players traded from other teams. I’d rather see C9 go back to their roots with five new domestic players.

Blaber yes but don’t really think you can look at Vulcan at any game in 2026 and think he could ever be the problem.

Vulcan was fine this year, but I think he should be the only person returning next season if that. Get 4 new domestic players still early or entering the primes of their careers.

There is an interview trail of what's wrong with C9 throughout the years. The shotcallers get braingapped and they fall apart mentally when things don't go as expected.

The roster is just not built well. Thanatos is good, but doesn’t crush lanes or anything. Blaber is Blaber, you know exactly what you’re getting with him. Loki can pop off every now and again but honestly I was more disappointed with him than any other player, don’t think he won lane a single time, just kept playing melee mids and losing. Thought the botlane was serviceable, was the obvious weak point coming into the tournament but all things considered I don’t have a problem with tacticals performance, and Vulcan is the best player on that team by far.
I just don’t trust a single person on this team to consistently win them games seems like they are just sitting around waiting to lose come mid late

They can't sadly. Lyon, throw a game lose. KC, throw a game lose, today, throw a game lose

I blame adc, jg, and just full on lack of clutchness from all of them. Give dom full roster control at the minimum kick adc and jg

No shit, you brought back a player who QUIT on the team 2 weeks before winter split. The most mentally fragile player we’ve ever had and we’re surprised the team collapsed?
