At this point just throw out the whole team
I don’t know anymore man, like seriously. What are we even doing anymore? We can’t close out a game to save our lives, the moment the clock hits 20 we just lose all brain cells.
We choke against teams that are worse than us.
The players are mechanically good, but I don’t know.
We’re kind of a laughing stock.
It sucks.
I’m depressed.
I’m kind of tired at having hope in this team.

It genuinely looks like the team is boomed rn and have completely lost faith in each other. Not helped that the drafts are trusting them on these outplay champions or champions requiring synergizing their abilities and engages or playing around a particular, and the game just inevitably devolves into soloq.
They hit something with the first Lyon series but then the TL throw at nexus was the first needle, the Lyon series the second, and the KC game 2 the third. The team oscillates between trying to do too much and not doing enough, and players just playing their own screens rather than with their team in mind, with the exception of maybe Vulcan who has been legit good in basically every game.
If the call is "listen to Phil," maybe he's the only one that needs to be brought back at this point, along with coaching if Dom even wants to stay for a rebuild.

I would stand by Phil and Dom staying. I might even be convinced to give Tactical more time to cook.

Please... No tactical man. He got caught out 10 times this series. They didn't even go to game 5. How does a bot carry player even get caught out that much?

Even tho i think tactical is not that good, many of those were blaber mistakes, blaber is constantly priorizing hes own camps or gromp, and let loki tactical or thanatos alone, he was never splitting with them or "shadowing" them on side or mid, is hard to play in tactical position

I like Loki as well and think he could have a Saint/Quid-esque year 2 step up since he still hasn't had a continuous calendar year in LCS. He at least has had pop off moments in teamfights that give some sense of hope for further development. On top of a lot of his grief moments looking more like him following calls from players like Blaber or Thanatos, rather than him making an active decision that costs the team. Blaber is a tale as old as time, even if he had a streak of looking decent only for it to be the bright lights pushed further in the calendar year. And Thanatos man...he seems like such a shrinker in pressure moments and someone who has not only been sketchy in teamfights and late game but even his laning has been more and more suspect.
Idk what to expect or even how much is real. Still a C9 fan, so we'll see what the future brings.

Nah man, loki gotta go. Even when given 3+ kills early he ends up 2k down in midgame. Plus got caught just as much as tactical did.

I wouldn't be opposed to a change, but I could just as easily see that as an endemic issue with the current team just not willing/able to play to and around their hot hand to snowball or peel for them, and Dom has expressed that as a criticism for the team in the regular season and playoffs, just not playing around the carry or playing to wherever they are on the map or starting fights without them in position to contribute.

my take on the last 3 series
thanatos - ghost
blaber - proven inconsistent for years
loki - has not really panned out yet
tactical - has the worst mental of the entire team, not made for the big moment
vulcan - he is actually the best player we have and a local talent
tbf there is not enough money or prospects. Dom can't make his players execute. the drafts might have some concepts we don't agree with but ultimately i think the team did not develop the cohesion, and also individually our imports did not add enough. so can't really say "fire everyone keep just HC and a couple players".
this is the team ceiling atm. they can still improve as a team. i think only loki can improve individually at this point. only vulcan is top tier

As someone who has been a fan of C9 since season 3, you can only put so much blame on a coach. This roster should of 3-0 KC yesterday Imo Dom doesn't deserve blame they simply threw as hard as they possibly could have thrown. All that said Blaber needed to be replaced years ago. It's clear the team just mental boomed beyond belief

Some of us have had unfounded faith for 12+ years. The time for faith is over.
Ever since Blaber became the "core" of this team, it's been utter and absolute shit. Nobody on this team has the veteran/mentor mentality to keep this loser team from tilting.

The only reason ANYONE has hope is because the won ONE playoff series against Lyon and than lost to them later and lost to TL.
This team prolly just isn't good enough.

Idk man so many botched team fights they rarely synch their abilities together synergy is horrible always on a different page. One game it looks fine next games it's god awful again.
