I Agree, Go Guards Keep the guys that got us this far!
I know baseball isn’t happening next year, and everyone is up in arms about getting better free agent bats. I’m going to die on the hill that we need Kwan to get the long contract respect he deserves.
This has been a fun season. See you next year, folks.

⚾🥇 Player of the Week 🥇⚾ Chase Delauter my sweet prince.
Was hoping this arrived just in time for Game 7 of the ALCS. Alas, it was not meant to be. Regardless, it looks like we finally developed a real-life major league hitter from within our own farm system. Finally someone to protect Hosey in the lineup. Here’s hoping there are a few more years of Ramirez/Delauter hitting 2/3 in the lineup!

Shoutout to Tom Hamilton and your great broadcasters
I listen to the radio while scoring baseball and usually try everyone’s broadcasters for variety . Tom Hamilton has been one of my favorites and listened to each game of this series while scoring . Despite the lost games there was respect in great plays and admiration for just good baseball. The ALDS series against the Sox was some great drama. You all have a great radio personality even if it’s not hype all of the time .

I Agree, Go Guards Context: This team has outperformed expectations every step of the way.

Discussion Love this team man…Nobody thought they would make it this far and we proved a lot of people wrong. We have a young team and we have a really good chance to win it all in the next couple years! Go Tribe!

Discussion Thank You Everyone!
I just wanted to say thank you everyone for the brilliant discussions we had on the post I made! What’s the likelihood we go into a lockout? And what signings do you think we should make, but I do hope we keep Kwon

[Jason Lloyd]: Hugs, tears and missed chances: Scenes from a crushed Guardians clubhouse
If ever there was a time for the Guardians to dance last, this was it. The field was wide open, and everyone knew it. I wrote at the deadline how much I loved the deals the Guardians made in acquiring Jo Adell, Nate Lowe and Foster Griffin. Finally, for that rare occasion, the spreadsheets said to go hard.
That’s why this one may haunt them a bit longer. Somehow, two small-market teams are playing in the World Series and the Guardians aren’t one of them. A long, cold winter work stoppage awaits, and the sobering reality is no one knows when they’ll play baseball again or what the game will look like on the other side.
The lack of elite competition made this season an incredible opportunity to throw a parade. But there are no more bottles to pop or confetti to throw.
After so many hours and days and months together, no one was in a hurry to say goodbye. Because this time, no one knew when they’d get their next hello.

Thank you Guardians and Thank you Sub
This was such a special season and such a memorable time for the wife and me! This old guy learned how to use Reddit for the first time and I joined this wonderful sub.
We had a roller coaster season with so many wonderful rookies that I have followed since Akron. Chase, Petey, Bazzana, Messick, Genao, Espino to name a few!
We got to watch Chase start our season with a bang! Messick, Gavin and Cade were phenomenal and our bullpen held us down all season ! We chased the White Sox team to win the Division and we came back against all odds to win the ALDS!
We watched a kid named Petey Halpin get on the map and boy did he show up in the playoffs..had a bat flip to the moon and a catch of his lifetime!
We saw Jose doing everything in his power to help us win even though he struggled this season! We saw Kwanny make Kwanny catches and throw guys out at the plate and we got to see Bailey turn his bat around in Cleveland!
We got to see a guy named Adell have his first playoff season and a guy name Lowe show up for us when we needs RBI’s. We also got to see the power of Hedges who rallied this team the entire year with his leadership!! We saw Espino make his debut and I watched the wife cry after seeing his mom’s reaction! That’s baseball!!!!
I couldn’t forget this sub- the doomers, the hate, the love, the support and the passion and let’s not forget a guy named Zep who gave us the BEST post game threads ever!
I hope we have a 2027 but if not… I’ll catch you in 2028! Lets throw our cheers to ALL the Guardians players and staff! I’m sad but I’m super proud of this team !

Discussion I'm sad 🥺
Because yeah it sucks to be disappointed again and I want one before I die- but also, I was having so much fun this season. Baseball is a huge distraction for the bs going on in my head. Now I have this feeling of 'now what' and on top of it the uncertainty if we will even HAVE 2027 baseball. ☹️

Throughout all the positives, ups and downs, new and old emojis, and (almost) everybody here…
…it was one heck of a ride. The fifth year of Cleveland Guardians baseball brought twists and turns, unexpected heros and spotlights, a reminder of how beautiful the pitching factory is, and one fun as hell playoff run. Beating a division foe after going down 0-2? Battling for the pennant for the second time in 3 years? For a team ranked dead last in payroll, I do love how far these kids go. But under the guidance of Steven Vogt, Carl Willis, and so many more, who were these kids that led the charges?
The faces we knew would be here? The heart and soul of Austin Hedges🦔. The fielding and bloops of Steven Kwan👑. The machine known as Gavin Williams🚛. The arsenal of Tim Herrin🐟, Hunter Gaddis☠️, Erik Sabrowski😎, with K’d Smith🔫 waiting in the rear. The super utility pair of Daniel Schneeman⛄️ and David Fry🍟. Brayan Rocchio🪨. Tanner Bibee🅱️. Angel Martinez😇, Kyle Manzardo🥔, Joey Cantillo🍍, Slade Cecconi🗡️, AND Matt Festa🎉. And of course, the man who manages to break more and more records every year, José freakin Ramirez🐐.
A young team that stayed young with new faces? Chase DeLauter🚚 had his first full season and made a name for himself in his first few days in Seattle. Travis Bazzana🍌 brought his first overall pick vegemite to the Show. Parker Messick🍓 has a DAYUM good shot to win ROY. Speedy Petey Halpin🕷️, Akron legend. We got glimpses of Angel Genao👼, Cooper Ingle📐, Franco Aleman🇩🇪, and Austin Peterson📝. Finally, the debut of Daniel Espino🦾… it might be the happiest debut I’ve personally ever seen, and he thrived. Welcome to the show, guys. Happy to have you.
Bringing in new faces? Rhys Hoskins⚡️ brought some veteran bat leadership, Colin Holderman🤝 became a setup legend, and Shawn Armstrong💪 finally made his way home. And what about the trades? Patrick Bailey🛡️ joined us behind the plate, and helped complete one of the best catcher duos in baseball (and had some wicked barrels). We gave Jo Adell🎤 and Foster Griffin🦁 their first ever tastes of the playoffs, welcomed Nathaniel Lowe🪫 to the north (better) side of Ohio, and gave Gaddis another pirate friend in the pen in Craig Yoho🏴☠️ .
The future? I’m not sure who will be on the roster. I’m not sure if all our coaches will stick around. I don’t know who will progress, who will regress, and what the division will hold. I don’t know when I’ll see y’all next which is one of the worst things I’ve ever had to write.
What I do know? Ralphy, Chourio, Campbell, and so many more wait in the wings. The kids we watched all year still love this sport and are ready to go again. I believe in José Ramirez… and really, who needs more than that?
I’ll forever be excited for more baseball, and I can’t wait to watch the Cleveland Guardians take the field again. Until next season🫡

"Teams of Miracles" - Cleveland Sports Highlights Reel
Hey r/ClevelandGuardians - I put this together reflecting on the end of the Guardians season. Most of the moments are not actually from this season and a few are Browns/Cavs... I was trying to look back at all of Cleveland's moments to deliver a message: "Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies” Yes, it has been 79 years for the Guards/Indians and 61 for the Browns. Each year doesn't make it any easier. But these teams bring so much joy to our community, our families, our friends. One day, I hope the final score will do us justice. Go Guards, Browns, and Cavs.

GUARDIANS HOPE THREAD
Thanks y’all. There’s no justice in sports.
Thanks to the boys who’ve made this journey special. Though we may not have the biggest bats, the best payroll (fuck Dolan), or anything else, I know for sure we have the best guys. If this is it (it isn’t 🤞) then thanks (to the fans as well).
We may be losing, and it may be too late, but who’s to say we can’t still do this shit. And if nothing else, show some appreciation to the boys who’ve made this year what it is.

Thank You 2026 Guards ❤️🥺
What a ride. Another season in the books.
Upset that we came up short, extremely sad another season is over, and grateful for another year of memories…
I‘ll look back on this season and always remember where I was for certain moments.
- DeLauter 2 homers in G1 of the season
- Bazzana Walk Off Homer
- Rocchio grand slam and walk off homer vs Tiger
- Rocchio walk off vs White Sox
- Another crazy run to win the central
- Jose Homer in ALDS G5
- Petey homer in ALCS G3
Some of the last years we’ll get with Hammy on the mic, Rick and Matt on TV, gonna be so sad when those guys retire.
We may not have won it all, but there was so much magic this season. Would love a World Series one day, but for me it’s always about the memories of watching games with friends and family, and tuning in to watch the squad everyday.
This team is young, we have so much to look forward to. We’ll be back.
Thank you 2026 Guardo’s ❤️

It's the Post Season!
For us, anyway.
With the looming lockout, what do we think best case scenario is for the Guards?
The current MLB proposal would see a floor that would require spending almost $100,000,000 more than we did this year. The current proposed cap, however, only hits around 7 teams to the tune of about $300M.
Baseball folks that are smarter than me: what do we think that means? Living in a fantasy land where we have to spend another hundred million bucks... But with relatively little impetus for the big spenders to cut terribly much fat by comparison to the influx or required payroll at the bottom 50% of the league, are we just treading water? Looking at expensive arbitrations and maybe a couple inflated free agents?
Let's speculate wildly. Not much else to do for the next 6+ months...

Discussion That was sad
Sad it’s gotta end like this but I’m proud of all of our players. Watching with my family was some of the best moments of my life.
Long story short my great grandmother(I’m from central Ohio) was an Indians super fan. From roughly our last World Series championship to 2016 she watched practically every game. She’d watch the same game in the morning after staying up to 1am as a 93 year old. She loved me, we would watch the games with her, sadly she passed away shortly before the start of the 2017 season.
I told my family watching it together really reminded of back then, even if she wasn’t the nicest….
It’s been a wonderful season, although I couldn’t watch much due to not having the proper channel. Did you guys also have a sour taste about Tampas Players? Not sure how/if we will have a 2027 season but these past 11 games have been wonderful!!! Go Guards!!!

Discussion Where was Tanner Bibee?
Look I'm not a coach or am I going to pretend like I know how to manage a pitching staff, but why didn't we play Bibee at all?
We bring in Smith in the 7th as an emergency stop (which backfired, obviously)?
I really hope Vogt addresses why Bibee was completely abandoned in the playoffs. Gassing your entire bullpen while not touching a guy who's being paid $7 million a year doesn't look great. What's the point?
r/ClevelandGuardians • u/SweatyVedder22 • 14h ago
Daniel Espino Question
Is there any chance that Espino gets moved to the rotation next year or do you think he will stay in the bullpen due to his injury history? He is clearly a great weapon in the bullpen but if he is built back up, is there a chance at him starting again?

Thank you Guards
I know it hurts. I do. I’ve been there in the WS. Thank you for all that you’ve done, days on end of fighting. It’s really hard to put it on yall to give your best every game. We are still rooting for you and thankful for a fun season!! We’ll get ‘em!!!

Paul Dolan: Faux Owner Professional Money Launderer
I’m sure over the next few months we’ll get Hoynes waxing poetic about how clever this FO truly is while going on about how broken baseball is.
What will it take for anyone worth a damn to call Dolan out on not opening his billions of dollars to spend on some bats?
Tired of seeing phenomenal pitching get wasted for the last two decades while our offense is lucky to score anywhere close to that dumpster fire of an organization in Berea.
Paul Dolan, stop laundering your money and spend.
