Little Women - Jo and Laurie Spoiler
This sub is so big that I’m almost too shy to post here. But here goes, this is just something I wanted to share, even though I haven't finished the book yet.
I recently reached the part where Jo rejects Laurie. I admit I felt a bit disappointed, as I wanted them to end up together. But I completely understand why Louisa chose to do it that way, I actually prefer Jo single and couldn't really picture her getting married. Still, I find myself wishing they had ended up together. It’s a conflicting feeling: when your expectations for a book aren't met, and you understand the reason why, but you still wish things had turned out differently somehow.
I’m a new reader, look, Little Women is only my third book! That’s why I’m curious if this is a common feeling when reading. It’s a silly question, I know, but I wanted to see if anyone else has felt this way, even with a different book
That said, I’m really enjoying this book and the daily lives of the four sisters, especially lately, as I’ve been devouring page after page each day, and I’m nearing the end
