Also look how much he grew this summer! Look like the drastic chopping I did last spring, the strong grow light and all the sun on the west balcony really helped!

It's a 3 years old tree that I grew from a seed, taken from a grocery store lemon.

Health & Troubleshooting Meyer lemon water sprouts removal?

Hello citrus family! Please help with recommendations on what to do and when about these water sprouts on my improved Meyer lemon tree that has been in the ground for about 2 years. Zone 9b. I removed the lone sprout last year but this summer three popped out in a span of a week and I was kinda excited to see the tree develop vertically and left them there till now. Should I cut them all down? Now or after harvesting the lemons? One of the sprouts started developing lots of new shoots... Prune them halfway? Rain is coming in a few days. Any advice appreciated, thank you!

Greetings all,

I'm looking for some guidance on how to prune my dwarf tree. I harvested what I believe are the last limes of the season, and I'd like to get her ready for the fall and winter dormancy here in Central Texas. Thank you all!

Health & Troubleshooting Improved Meyer Lemon Help

I bought home an Improved Meyer Lemon just a week ago. I'm in zone 9b if that helps and we recently had a hard cold front come in, but we'll above freezing. I've been watering sparingly as we seem to be past our hot and dry season and the temperature is gradually falling.

I've been hit ir miss with a lot of plants and I want to keep this guy healthy. I noticed some leaves, but not all, are yellowing and I'm wondering if this might be indicative of a health issue, or if this is normal shedding of some leaves. It is still in the same container I bought it home from the nursery in so I don't know the soil content or when it was last fed. It was green and healthy all over when I bought it. It is in the middle of my back yard, so should be receiving at least 8 hours of direct sunlight. Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Is my orange tree healthy?

Just recently bought a house with an orange tree -- never cared for one before. Started losing some leaves recently and I was wondering if that was natural or a sign of some issue. Is there something I should do to better take care of this tree?

My tree is a Muppet - help!

I have a lemon tree my nieces planted several years ago from a grocery store lemon seed. It goes outside in the summer and comes inside in the winter (I live in New England). I've never done anything to it except give it light and water and it does great. It looks a little sad right there because it was neglected for a minute while we were moving, but it has since gotten back to its original lush form.

I would love to prune it or wrangle it somehow back into a tree shape but have zero idea how to do that. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thinking of moving indoors for the winter

I got this Meyer lemon late this summer and am thinking it might be time to move it inside. Or at least plan to bring it inside. I am getting a VEVOR 400W light for it. My questions are: Where should I put this setup? I have a dark garage that stays pretty cold in winter, and an east-facing sunroom. I am in Zone 7B.

I need help from people smarter than myself, I have this large mandarin tree in my backyard and every spring i rage war against these stink bugs no matter what I try they win the war they don't even know they are part of does anyone have any tips to rid the poor tree from them. Another hurdle that's been thrown my way is our neighbour now has a bee hive on the other side of the fence and I'd hate to negatively affect the hives population. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Planted in early May. It has had lots of growth this summer, but started having orange sap about halfway up the trunk towards the beginning of September. Image 2 shows that open area where the sap has accumulated. I sprayed some copper on it and the sap has largely stopped, but now the other side of the trunk has black discoloration.

What are my options and what should I do? Located in 10a SoCal.

Health & Troubleshooting Do I still need to fertilize this meyers?

Thumbnail

The first picture is my meyers growing too many flowers for its own good. I'm going to wait to see how many flowers self prune of their own volition, but the leaves are showing signs of nutrient deficiency I think. I fertilized it last month... And it's still yellow so I fertilized it again last week. Does it still need more fertilizer??? More sun???? 2nd pic is my greener mandarin tree.

I'm mostly worried about it's lack of leaves compared to the mandarin to support it's flowers. Like, it's flowering like crazy because it's dying or something.

Can someone who has one of those big-identifiers help me figure out what caterpillar is eating my Meyer lemon tree?
It was found chewing on the new growth, and I tapped it off and got a picture separately. Thanks in advance!

How do I go about repotting a plant this big?

Potted indoor/outdoor lemon tree. Please excuse the petunias in the pot, they've been persistent in regrowing there each year and I don't have the heart to tear them out.

This tree's wooden pot is starting to come apart so I'm looking at replacing it with something more durable. However, I've never repotted a plant nearly this big (and heavy!) so I'm not sure how to start. How do I get this tree out of its current pot without damaging the roots?

The leaves and everything about the tree look extremely healthy im just not sure how tall I should let it grow and if I want to get more foliage over height. Its also almost 1 full year since ive had it and haven't had any fruiting yet.

I have just moved back into my property that was tenanted for three years. It looks like my lemon tree has been infected with citrus gall wasp. Is there any chance in saving it? Or cut it up and replant?

What is causing yellowing?

This tree has been outside getting direct sun for 8 hours a day and just recently yellowed. We’ve experienced a few cooler night but nothing below 45. It’s been a bit rainy, perhaps overwatering? Or nutrient deficiency?
