My kids hate pie... help me change their mind, where has the best pie in Chilliwack?!

• Upvotes

My wife brought home a walmart apple pie with walmart no name ice cream once, and it was their first experience with pie. They've never wanted to touch any since. I feel like I've failed them in some way LOL! Where in Chilliwack in your opinion, has the absolute best pies? If i could convince them to give pie a second chance, which pie should I lead with?

Problem property for sale #55 45640 Watson rd

Posting his in hopes of saving a potential buyer thousands in damages and headaches. A flipper is renovating a mobile home, #55 45640 Watson Road, Chilliwack.

They have installed a bathtub on top of rotting sub floor, installed shower tile directly on top of un treated drywall, completed unpermitted gas, electrical and plumbing work. Those are issues that ive seen, but there are likely more.

In his own words "its okay, im just selling". Its not a matter of if these cause issues, its when. I hope this post pops when a buyer searches the adress. The individual buying this place will likely be low income and cant afford to deal with it.

Oh hey, if you were the passenger in the black car who fingered me while parked waiting to pick up my child from school today, I’m not sure what I did exactly that offended you, but why didn’t you say something instead?

My window was partly rolled down, your window was rolled down. I’m a reasonable person, who makes mistakes and I would rather know if I did something wrong than have some passive-aggressive hand gesture directed at me, which left me with no idea what I could have even done to piss you off.

Was driving tonight and saw a dead bear on the road in the brown creek area

It looked so young and healthy. There was blood all over the road and it seems like whoever killed it was speeding. Why can't people just slow down in this city, I don't get it? My family has been seeing this bear around for a few weeks. We're so lucky to live in this ecosystem and habitat and we destroy it so carelessly. If whoever hit it is reading this, shame on you. Please slow down.

Just wondering if there’s anybody in town who is interested in electronic music, making it, geeking out about synthesizers, and maybe even possibly jamming? I know there’s a lot of older punk rock types and that the chillhouse seems to be pretty happening for the kids, which is awesome, but my guitar chops are not so great unless somebody wanted to rock out to some Ramone’s covers cause I think I can still do that…

Is Chilliwack MLA Heather Maahs actually wanting to see BC and Alberta separate from Canada and become a 'protectorate' of the US?!

This morning I came across this on Xitter: https://x.com/rparmar_BC/status/2112210820277162347

Is Chilliwack CONSERVATIVE MLA Heather Maahs actually part of a FB group advocating for BC separation from Canada (and whose members advocate becoming a so-called 'protectorate' of the US!)? Reporting from The Cortes Current today says that NDP ad 'appears to have correctly identified' Maahs, along with Conservatives Bryan Tepper and David Williams, as part of that Trump-loving group: https://cortescurrents.ca/tag/bc-separatism/

If you value Canadian freedom and sovereignty, folks, don't vote for separatists who fantasize that being a vote-neutered 'protectorate' of a bully (who'd love to tariff us out of existence and vacuum up Canadian resources) will be good for us.

Edit to add more info on Conservatives harbouring separatists: https://www.bcndp.ca/releases/separatism-doerksons-constituency-association-and-caucus

Does anyone have a map of the bus routes for the school? Just wondering where the stops are and how far it goes. I live in promontory but my ex would be coming from Agassiz and is hoping he would be able to drop them closer than directly at the school. Does fhe bus go close to prest and if so, how far down?

Lost: Silver ring, dragon-shaped

My brother lost a family heirloom from my late father today while we were driving all over town taking care of things for a move, including a stop at a garage sale on Young Rd, I think it was.

It's a somewhat large silver ring shaped like a dragon with a jade stone. If you know anyone that may have found one please send a DM.

Happy Local Voting Day Everyone: here's to another 4 years of complaining no matter who we pick.

I jest I jest, but no honestly, as much as federal and provincial elections are important, the most impact you can have as an individual is your local elections, even if voting for the park commissioner isn't exactly sexy.

Just saw Dan Grice of CentreBC getting scolded at the Ag Rec center

He’s setting up a little campaign stop on his car right next to a municipal voting place and someone comes out and tells him to leave. He starts getting defensive

“The law is 100 meters from a PROVINCIAL voting place, I’m 150 meters from the evergreen hall!”

“I’m not the one who called this election so close to the other!”

So ridiculous lmfao

We're relatively new to Chilliwack but we're going to vote in this election here.

So wanting to know more about the candidates and their objectives.

Looking for open feedback, positive or negative about specific candidates. Who is really thinking about the common man? What are their track records?
