Discussion Who agrees?
I really hate the bit in 'Look Before You Sleep' where Sam goes to Frasier's to get some kip and you can hear Freddy crying in the background and Frasier goes "he's just trying to manipulate me it's common for a 4 year old and any decent parent knows the best thing to do is just ignore it". That actually made my blood boil to be honest. Amounts to emotional neglect I reckon. An innocent little kid who just wants to be shown some affection and love and probably doesn't even know how to fully express his emotions yet. Disgusting. The way Frasier said that quite proudly and all. I don't care what anyone says as far as I'm concerned any parent worth their salt would never do that. I just can't understand how anyone can do that or think like that. I don't know what the writers were thinking. I just feel that was a very bad character moment. I quite like Frasier otherwise. I was on his side when Lilith left him for that weird scientist and then when she returned begging him to take her back. A couple bits of irony that make it all the upsetting is that Frasier's a psychiatrist and aren't they supposed to be all about been helping and supportive etc? Also when Frasier threatened to jump from a building to stop Lilith leaving him wasn't that basically the same thing in a way? Getting someone to stay with him. Before anyone says anything like I need to get out more or get a life I know I need to lol. But surely I can't be the only one who sees it this way.

Discussion Anyone Else Find Cheers Hard to Get Into After Frasier?
I've been trying to get into Cheers because I love Frasier, but I'm having a hard time getting hooked on it. I'm not saying the show is weird or bad. It just hasn't clicked with me the way Frasier did.
I know Frasier is a spin-off, so I'm curious if anyone else had this experience. Did it take you a while to get into Cheers, especially if you watched Frasier first? Does it get easier to get hooked as you keep watching?
