Hi everyone!

I'm visiting the Cayman Islands this week (20-24) and thought it would be nice to get a shoot in while I'm there. This would be open to anyone but preferably someone with modeling experience. It would be free of charge.

I've attached a few of my past shoots and an inspiration board for what I would like to do.

If anyone is interested please comment or reach out! Or if you know anyone that might be interested please pass this along

I know this is pretty last minute but this trip was quite spontaneous

Thanks!

Hi, considering a position at a big 4 as a manager in tax. Anyone familiar want to share what I can ask for as a salary? 8 years experience and currently making over $250k in the u.s. I'd like to live along Seven Mile, close to the office. Rent there is quite high around $5k for a one bedroom. Is asking for $200k appropiate considering it's tax free but cost of living is quite high. I have calculated that my break even point would be $220k but willing to take $200k because would like to experience island life for a year or two. Is $200k a reasonable ask? Thanks.

Question for all the Premier League and Champions League fans out there ⚽️ How do you guys stream matches here in the Cayman Islands?

Hello again. I have a new song and have decided to switch genres with this one, and have been receiving more positive feedback on this song. I made this song completely with my phone, and it’s about the second coming - when Jesus comes back again, mixed in with other spiritual themes. I would love feedback on this one, your opinions help make every song. Thanks - Dylan.

Wife and 6 month daughter are visiting dec 21 through the 26th. Staying in 7 mile beach area. Would like a quick 20 min photoshoot on 7mb. Anyone available for one. Doesn't need to be super professional just a nice camera and some good photos. Not trying to spend 300$.

Hello. We will be travelling to Caymen Islands in November from Canada. Looking for tips on currency. Is it better to get caymen dollars before the trip or just use US dollars? Any tips are appreciated

3 questions -

Our family of 4 incl teens ages 16 and 15 boy and girl are staying at Botanica Lux Cottages around 7 Mile Beach. While we've stayed in St. Lucia, PR, DR, CR, Turks, first time here. Very excited :)

Our stay will be over Christmas wk. Looking for recs -

1. Husband and me interested in massage therapy. For me, I'm interested in someone who is really good at massage - my best experiences have been at top resorts like Mandarin Oriental. Ritz is hit or miss depending on location. Don't need the steam/sauna/snack ameneties as much as someone who really well versed in therapy using massage :) Was curious if Klimpton, Ritz, The Palm Heights may be worthwhile or even just another not as fancy day spa - the idea to find a therapist that is not just swedish massage and touristy relaxation but works with people who really need knots out!

2. Considering renting a car depending on if Rum Point or East side island worth a visit? We will be on sail that takes us through stingray/starfish/snorkeling and Kaibo, we will be able to explore Cemetary/Governor/7 Mile Beach.

3. Any particularly good shops in Georgetown or around 7 Mile Beach area for clothing/gift shop/knicknacks?

Thanks!

Looking for a genuine usdt seller in the island

Question for the expats - I wanted to find out how the transport is like on the island?

I’m considering staying in the West Bay Area and will need to commute to George Town. Can one rely on public transport or do you ABSOLUTELY need a car?

Also, is it the norm to get a long term car rental or do most people just save up to buy a second hand car?

We have thought of some fun with another couple , could just be same room but could turn into more. Mainly looking for couples but open to a single possibly.

Sorry for the typical tourist post but hoping to visit in January and don't think staying directly on seven mile beach will be in our budget.

Can anyone suggest hotels or specific condos close by seven mile beach? We have young kids and would prefer a suite if it's a hotel. Our one requirement is a pool. We will rent a car.
Thank you!

Visiting for a few days and looking suggestions please.

Still there?

Hi, I'm a professional chef based in Grand Cayman, and I'm building a cooking content brand focused on restaurant-quality food, chef techniques and entertaining short-form videos.
I'm looking for a freelance videographer to work with me on a recurring basis, filming in my small apartment kitchen.
Initially, I'd like to arrange a short test shoot to create 3–5 vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. I'm looking for someone who understands close-up food cinematography, lighting in compact spaces, dynamic camera angles and fast-paced social media editing.
If the first shoot works well, I'd be interested in booking regular sessions.
Could you please share your portfolio, availability and pricing for a test shoot, including filming, editing, revisions and delivery of the final videos?
I'd also appreciate examples of food content or creator-focused projects you've worked on.
Thank you

Who's looking forward to the traffic at the Kirks/KFC junction when the Hyatt opens! Woo!

Edit: And Lacovia further north on West Bay Road, and then the Hyatt Centric at Margaritaville.

So I've (30 M Canadian) been thinking about moving to Cayman for awhile and recently decided to just show up here and search for options personally, I've been using Ecaytrade to find job listings but it seems there is only a small fraction of actual available jobs posted there. I work In hospitality, mainly kitchen and bar, I owned 2 places over the last 4 years. Wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction, it seems here is very word of mouth based opposed to official job postings, the online side does not reflect the large scale hospitality industry here.

I'm fully aware of the rules and regulations around Visa's, so far its very clear the majority of the hospitality work force is foreign.

I live in Canada and I got a job offer on Cayman Island.
I want to know the rental prices for 1 bedroom and also other expanses for a single person on the island per month

We are heading to Grand Cayman in late March and planning on staying on seven mile beach. We will be driving around a good bit to get in some shore dives and will need a rental car. It will be me, my wife, and 3 kids ages 11-13. I looked at the typical brand name outfits but typically prefer to use a local business. Any good recommendations on the island? Prefer a pickup or Jeep/SUV. Thanks!!!

Coming from the Northeast USA. I am seeing Southwest and Jet Blue? What is the best way airline to get to GCI?

Since moving back to Cayman, I’ve noticed police sirens seem much quieter. Even when I’m not playing music, I can’t hear them until they’re pretty close. Sometimes I can see the vehicles with their lights on but can’t hear the siren until they get closer. They felt much louder when I lived here before 2022. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

Hi everyone, trying to book a last minute trip. I’m 25, single, looking for a fairly social setting that isn’t super party centric 24/7 like Cancun is. If I go to George Town, is it easy to socialize/meet people? I don’t know if it’s a stupid wuestion I just don’t want to be entirely by myself for a week.
