Edit: just bought cat quest 3 only to notice afterwards there is a pack that contains all 3 😂

My twins (7 boy girl) are getting a switch 2 for xmas and my daughter is obsessed with cats so I'm wanting a cat themed game they can play together.

I've already played like half way through the first game with my son on playstation and was surprised how fun the co-op experience was.

So in people's opinion which game is the best and should I get the bundle or just Start with 3 (because I like the idea of cats and pirates).

His favorite game series is Cat Quest. This year, he wanted so badly to be Meowtallika. I think my wife did a great job building this for him on a budget.

It was such a good time coming back to this this series since I played the first game almost a year ago. Can't wait to jump into Cat Quest 3 at some point.

LOVE THIS SERIES ❤️

Édit : I finally beat it !!

I bet I tried like hundred times, took me hours, and haven’t beat him yet,

My mind is exploding ,

It is not the hardest boss I had to beat in my gamer life but yeah, it just doesn’t want to die !!

I can get easily to the part where he launch a $$$$$ lighting ball, but I have so much trouble to dodge it, i read here that this lightning ball is like following the last attack or something, sometimes I can dodge, sometimes no…

My current strategy is :

Armor and hat : electric meowtalikat,

Sword : vampire

Gun ak47

Spell : enhance damage, electric sphere, I don’t use other for this fight

At the last phase, I now switch to shield when I see the lightning ball and block it, but I just miss one and I die :((((

Come on !!!!

So frustrating

EDIT : thanks for your answers, I will try to follow the advices, I will try again soon and I will eat some boar meat that for sure !

EDIT 2, Friday 16 oct
Finally did it !!!!!!

Thanks guys
Switching to the wand was helpful when the boar dit the lightning ball

Hello! The question is in the title ? Does the cats heroes from Cat quest 1 and 2 are the same ? Or are they two very distinct characters /cat?

For those unaware, an archipelago is a cross-game randomizer that sends stuff Yu need in one game to someone else’s game, and a Common thing in randomized like that are that progression is usually tied to unlockables stuck in another game.

I just watched a vid on archipelago stuff and realized “hey wait a minute, the Cat Quest series would be great!”

Tons of checks in the form of chests in the various caves and dungeons(and side quest rewards), you could technically lock side quests behind unlocks, or lock stuff like the keys in CQ3 or the water walking in CQ1+2 behind a check, it’s perfect for it!

Only issue is how little there is for the public eye doing stuff with this series. Smaller community means a coder’s likely not gonna put in the effort to

Anyone know which trinket I'm missing / how I'd get it?

i got to level 104 and then i was like "2 in a row" and i did it again

I personally imagine them as being pretty buff, but I’m curious what others think

Cat Quest 2‘s Kingsblood are such enigmas in reality they only happened once in infinite timelines, and Aeolus himself said they rival his power. Truly they are wondrous.

Hi everyone!

My partner isn't much of a gamer but they've been REALLY enjoying playing cat quest on switch together. I was hoping people here might have recommendations for other couch co-op games here? Can be co-op RPG (would be great!) or not.

Getting "it takes two" next, but after that stuck for ideas.

Thank you! :)

Edit: we only have switch 😅

How rude… Meow!

I’m often in a purry. I don’t meow why. Best guess? A purr-petual dissatisfaction with meow, coupled with the thought that something better is meowing. The end result is a constant state of low-level cat-xiety. I asked a meowgic eight ball—an old kitten’s toy—if it had any thoughts on the matter. It said,

‘Hang in there.’

I didn’t find that purr-ticularly helpful, so I asked a paw-pular AI program if it had any thoughts on the matter. It said, ‘Listen to the eight ball.’ As mew can imagine, I no longer have low-level cat-xiety.

I keep telling him it takes time to make games but he's hyped.

I think that not only only for fun builds, but also playable and strong builds.
All info on the screenshots.
You can also type your best or funny builds.
I added tag SPOILER for players that doesnt know about some secret armors/trinkets/weapons.

My favourite build is Mage healer with Meowteorits (third screen)
It is also the most unskill build because you need to press only one button and absorb mana with combination of trinkets and body armor.
Also with this build in New Game+ (its my second loop) my record in Infinity tower is 40 km.

P.S. I dont understand how reddit cut resolution for my screenshots.
Im sorry. It is my first post and I failed it.

P.S. I can leave links to screenshots in better resolution.

Hello, I have a problem with Cat Quest 2. When I started playing I didn't have any problems but after some playtime the character started moving in a random direction at random times on his own. I don't know what stops that. Sometimes when I mash buttons it gets fixed sometimes it doesn't want to. Has anyone had this problem?

UPDATE: For now the problem has been solved. I changed the bindings from numpad to wasd and the problem might have been removed. Numpad keys remain active even when numlock is off

Y'all im just in an indie game mood... This game series is top 5 indie games of all time to me. Cat Quest 1 only had Cat Puns, Cat Quest 2 now has Dog & Cat Puns! 9 out of 10👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
