General Discussion This subreddit needs additional moderators and moderation

I wanted to mention that the moderator of this subreddit removed me as moderator without talking to me personally directly and so that leaves them as sole moderator of the subreddit. I think this isn't good to have a single moderator of a subreddit.

I don't really care because everytime I checked for moderation activity, they already performed the moderation actions. I look at this as a little OCD immediately performing actions, etc.

This subreddit needs stronger community and moderator involvement but I don't think allowing photos of white stuff in people's mouths/skin is good use of this subreddit or people's time or energy. How about going to a dentist or a doctor? Leukoplakia is a similar condition to candida and is often related to drinking alcohol.

There's dozens of conditions similar to candida and so thats why I think a lot of people go down wrong paths for too long. If you suspect you have candida problem, best way to get better is to work with a professional like a nutrionist or dentist and not self treat. Self treatment you should look at as self harming...killing stuff with antifungals isn't good health thing to do long time.

For battling candida there's some easy things that work. Hyperbearic chambers will oxygenate body. Getting into exercise will oxygenate body. Basically oxygen will kill candida. Battling candida should be a short term thing within months or weeks...battling this any longer is self harm and mental health issue.

Mostly I'm calling for additional moderation on this subreddit. Insomnia subreddit has 5 moderators in comparison.

Symptoms Ongoing symptoms for 5 years need help

Hi, my situation is really hard to explain and a bit complex but I’m but sure how to go about getting help from my doctor or gyno. This has been ongoing since 2021.

Starting February of 2021 I woke up with a sharp cramp in my right ovary. I took a Tylenol then I felt better and went about my day, however I started having pain and itchiness, and I thought it was BV or a yeast infection. However this is when my symptoms became very odd, with this yeast infection I started getting bloating, nausea, fevers and hot flashes and cramping and fatigue. The symptoms didn’t let up and I felt sick for 2 months. I went to planned parenthood, got a basic exam, was tested for BV, yeast and STI’s and UTI’s. I was treated for BV with a cream. Symptoms didn’t go away. I was then treated for yeast with a cream. Still symptomatic, the itchiness and irritation in my actual vagina was gone at this point but I still had a burning acidic feeling in my uterus but it was not period pains and was outside of my period.

I got an ultrasound ordered from my doctor and they found absolutely nothing

My only form of treatment was eating raw ginger and eating a stupid amount of yogurt.

In May of 2021 I got sick with unrelated autoimmune symptoms which gave my body a break from all of this mess just to deal with something else, and then I got a Covid infection in Jan of 2022 and dealt with long covid for 3+ years and going on today.

My long covid improved then suddenly in October of 2023 I was hit with the previous symptoms but with a vengeance. My abdomen felt like there was acid dripping in it, I had no appetite, I was bloated and severely nauseous, the inflammation was messing with my vagus nerve and I basically was non functioning. This would happen before my period and my only relief was when my period came and I bled to reset my hormones.

Since then I started suffering with severe symptoms a week before my period, including fatigue that feels like narcolepsy, nausea, gi issues, inflammation, anxiety, depression, extreme cramping and joint pain and just feeling horrible and non functioning. I suspect PMDD or PCOS or endo at this point, but that brings me here today.

I finally have met with a gynecologist and he recommended to start taking my birth control continuously (Larin 24 fe) since my periods just make me sick. I have been on low dose birth control since I was 16 and I’m 28 now, but I would have a period.

So I did skip my period this week, and I felt ok, but today I woke up with my vagus nerve feeling tight, my vagina feeling irritated and dry, feeling very nauseous and bloated with no appetite and my uterus feeling like once again there’s acid being poured down it.

I am desperate to do anything to feel better and am begging if anyone else has experienced an overgrowth of yeast or a messed up PH or overgrowth of whatever that doesn’t just effect your vagina but also your mood and your stomach and microbiome. I am feeling depressed, hopeless and in pain.
