Has anybody had to fill out the Reinstatement petition form after academic probation and get accepted back in without having to take classes during your one semester out?

I was wondering if anyone with their bachelors from a UC, UCSD especially, could help clarify what classes would satisfy the chem w/lab requirements (CHEM 105 & 105L) for San Marcos? I've tried using assist and tes to check and none of them are giving me helpful info.

or if anyone has taken any online classes that satisfy these reqs that'd be extremely helpful!

Why did CSUSM decide to invest in the squeakiest, loudest chairs ever?

Hi everyone!! 😊
I recently got accepted into both CSUSM’s Accelerated BSN program and Palomar College’s ADN program for Spring 2027! 🎉
I’m super excited and grateful to have both opportunities, but I’m leaning toward CSUSM’s ABSN program!
I would love to hear from anyone who has attended either program, especially CSUSM’s accelerated program!
I have a few questions:
What should I expect? How intense is the accelerated program? What does a typical weekly schedule look like with lectures, clinicals, exams, and studying?
What should I buy before starting? Are there any must-have supplies, textbooks, shoes, scrubs, study resources, or other things you recommend? Anything you regret spending money on?
Financial assistance: My husband is active-duty military, and I’m a military spouse. Does anyone know of scholarships, grants, military spouse education benefits, or financial aid opportunities that could help cover tuition and other expenses? Any specific organizations or offices I should reach out to?
Working while in school: Is it realistic to work part-time while completing the ABSN program, or would you recommend focusing entirely on school?
CSUSM vs. Palomar: If you attended either program or had to choose between the two, what influenced your decision? Do you feel the additional cost of the ABSN program is worth it?
I already have a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from UCSD, so this would be my second bachelor’s degree if I attend CSUSM.
I’m trying to prepare as much as possible financially, academically, and mentally before Spring 2027!
Any advice, recommendations, resources, or personal experiences would be SO appreciated!! Thank you so much! 🥹🩷

Hi everyone! I’m interested in getting my bachelors in Computer Information Systems here completely online. Do any of you have any experience with their online programs? And how is it going for you?

Thanks 💕

Hi guyssss, I was wondering if it’s normal for the 5th floor of the library to be as noisy as it is? I was under the impression that this floor was the quiet floor? The past couple of semesters have been a lot quieter and I’m not sure if I’m the only one noticing this difference.

Signed, ADHD and can’t focus :/

Has anyone taken Spanish 102 during winter intersession

how is it?

hows the workload?

is it hard?

etc.

I’ve been waiting for an email for the new cohort. Does anybody know or did I miss something

Hello everyone I’m making this cohort for everyone who was accepted for the 2027 absn cohort at CSU San Marcos, congrats! Can’t wait to connect with everyone. However, I had a question, I was curious what the Winter intersession through extended learning was? Are we required to take classes during this session?

How was the job market once you graduated? Did you have prior healthcare experience? Did they hire you at your externship? TYIA

Hi everyone!! I’m looking forward to starting the CSUSM ABSN in Spring ‘27! I was wondering if any previous cohorts have any tips for the upcoming school year! I’m very nervous and I just want an idea of the class schedule and how rigorous the program is! I’d really appreciate it! Looking forward to meeting the cohort soon :))

Thank you to whoever saw my MacBook on the couch outside I thought I put it in my backpack before I left for my 12:30 class, and then I noticed it not in my bag after I was in my 1:30 class and ran out to go find it so I appreciate whoever turned it in :)

Hi! I’m currently preparing my MSW application and want to apply to the title iv stipend. Anyone else also in the same boat of wanting to go back for their masters?

Campus used to have smoking spots, those have since been removed after the campus went smoke free. Anywhere on or relatively near campus where you can smoke without causing issues?

Help! I am taking her for Kin 404; we have an exam coming up in two weeks, and I'm scared. I am doing the readings, attending class, and doing the formula exercises. How are the exams, and are they hard? She doesn't really talk about the format of the exam, whether it's open-note or what. Low-key would appreciate some insight/advice. Thank you!

I heard decisions are released every two weeks, and the first round came out on 9/16, so I’m assuming the next round could be tomorrow. I have around 42–43 points, but for some reason my application wasn’t evaluated in time for the first round, so I’m anxiously waiting for the second round 😭 Anyone else in the same boat?

My dad has a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Its in good condition and runs well. Registration paid off for the year. Selling for $2500

Update: Sorry guys!! Dad changed his mind, so it's no longer for sale.

I missed one day for this class and I wasn't there when discussing the the formatting for the Story of Self. From what I understand it needs to be 3 pages, One of which being the story itself. Can someone please tell me what the others are and how to do them, like what's needed? This would be Fredi Avalos's class. I urgently need help with this. Thank you so much for any help.

If you take classes at CSU and also want to take classes at a community college, can csusm give you financial aid for the total amount of units from both schools? I think a cortisum agreement can allow this, but i'm not sure if csusm has one or not.
