FAR CPACioli’s MCQ Bank Is Great!
Finally getting real traction with FAR and hit the point where I remember some of the answers to Becker’s questions. I know how to arrive at these answers for the most part and understand why the other answers are wrong, but I needed more questions.
I haven’t heard much mention here, but CPACioli’s bank is amazing. Questions are ranked Easy, Medium, and Hard, and the explanations, even if you answer correctly, are very good. I can’t wait to try some of the simulations next weekend. I think it’s totally worth $29.99 monthly.
My only gripe is that, unlike Becker, the clock keeps running when I am reviewing questions and writing things down. I would love for the clock to stop after a question is answered so that I can get a good gauge on whether I am responding in 2 minutes or under.
Aside from that, I think it’s a very good resource. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Best time to leave audit?
I know that there isn’t a “best answer” that fits for everyone, and every person could have a different experience, but I want to see your opinions on this.
Let’s say I got the CPA as an audit associate. Which position should I reach in my audit firm before leaving, that would lead to a great increase in pay/opportunities? From what I heard, reaching senior auditor or audit supervisor (right before assistant manager) is the best time to exit into industry. What do you guys think?
FAR Advice!!!!!!!!!!
I started studying FAR a couple days ago. Is it possible to study far and take the exam in 50 days? My Target exam date is around the December 8 cut off date. I have a light semester as I am in my last semester of grad school. Thoughts?

Never felt this discouraged in my life... FAR
I am so sick of studying. I am at the point where I just want to give up. I do everything I am supposed to. I am 142 hours in, and am in F5.
-I watch all the videos
-Write down every MCQ (sometimes even if I get it right)
-Do every MCQ in the module
I am studying 5 hours per day. The Becker videos and text book don't help. I follow along, highlight in the book, take notes... NOTHING STICKS.
I spend 5-7 hours a day studying. I just know I am going to fail. My exam is scheduled 19 days. I left myself 10 days of review, but I just know... I am going to fail.
I need study tips. F5 is so difficult. Consolidations and Statement of cash flows are kicking my butt. I am more mad at Becker than anything else because I paid a ton of money for it, only for it to expect me to know everything.
I barely understand how some debits and credits work.

ISC ISC Next Monday………….
I don’t really feel ready but I also don’t feel like there is much more to study. I haven’t focused much on TBS though.
Been studying for about 8 weeks now. Since 8/25 or so. So feels like I had too much time but I had no choice due to scheduling conflicts and openings.
I keep scoring high on mcq’s and honestly I’m over it.
Any final tips to polish up??

QUESTION Advice on Exam Sections
I sat for REG on 10/13. The score doesn’t come out until November 10th. I already have FAR and AUD passed. Leaving the exam, I felt it was a little different than I expected, and felt iffy on most of the TBS’s. Should I move on and order TCP materials since there is such a long waiting period? Or wait and keep studying REG just in case?
Does anyone have similar experience with feeling iffy on the exam? How did it turn out for you?

Audit differences between control deficiency, significant deficiency, or material weakness
On the exam if you’re expected to say if it is one of the 3 how would you differentiate? Would they most likely give you the materiality level?

AUD Taking my exam in 2 days!
Hi everyone, I am starting to get very anxious for my test for AUD in two days. If you have any last minute advice or tips/strategies up until the exam, it would be greatly appreciated! I have been hammering MCQs, but I am worried I might be memorizing the questions and answers and not being able to logically go through the reasoning myself.

How do you memorize efficiently?
I am doing REG and wondering if people have any advice for effectively memorizing facts. I made a laundry list of rules and sort of brute forcing, reading and looking away until I can recall them.

FAR Thoughts on doing FAR Becker F3 and F4 first.
I’m about to begin studying for FAR after finally passing AUD. And I was considering studying the usual sequence out of order on Becker. I would do F3 and F4 first, then F1 and F2, and finally F5 and F6.
I just completed Becker Academy FAF2 as a refresher, so going directly into F3 feels like a natural transition. The idea would be to get the account level accounting locked in first, so when I see its impact on the financial statements later on F1 and F2, and bringing it all together, it’ll make more sense. This is the same sort of way the AUD naturally has review built in.
Has anyone else tried this sort of sequence on Becker? Would you recommend it or just do the normal Becker structure?
My plan is to get completely done with my learning by December 19th, then after Christmas and New Years, I would come back for a full cumulative review and sit for the exam in late January or early February.
Just curious if anyone has done this sort of strategy and for any thoughts about it.

FAR CPA FAR Exam Preparation
What’s up, folks! I recently started preparing for the FAR exam using Becker and would really appreciate any tips or advice on how to prepare effectively. I took FAR once about 2 years ago but unfortunately didn’t pass, so I’m starting fresh and would especially appreciate recommendations on practicing MCQs and TBSs, reviewing weak areas, and making the most of Becker’s materials.
Thanks in advance for any advice or resources you can share!

FAR Negative values in SIMs are the bane of my existence
Retaking FAR this week (attempt #5 - last two attempts were 73 and 72) and doing final review with practice SIMs. Spent nearly half an hour on this sim with multiple exhibits and made all the correct calculations and categorizations but whiffed on the presentation of the negative CF amounts.
Im tired, boss
