Ich habe zum ersten Mal versucht, mein Fresh Frozen Bubble Hash einem Cold Cure zu unterziehen. Der reine Hash-Block ist die 120µ-Siebung von den ersten drei Waschgängen und der einzelne Ball ist der vierte Waschgang. Die Konsistenz bei dem ersten Hash-Block hat sich jetzt zu so einer angenehmen sandigen Textur entwickelt – wenn man das zusammenreibt, wird es fast cremig.
Meiner Meinung nach ist der Cold Cure-Prozess noch nicht ganz zu Ende, aber es riecht jetzt schon absolut unglaublich. Was meint ihr dazu? ❄️💚

I had a bunch of old material in the morning around that I got last year and never got to it because of life so I decided to just turn it all into bubble hash or at least see what I can get. I'd say I did pretty decent on you but I don't have a pizza box so the shoe box is going to have to do for now.

When you wash your material how long do you let it sit before get the water out? Last wash I waited like 3-5 minutes and then pull the water trough the screens. But I feel like many trichomeheads still are trapped between buds.. should I wait longer?
And how many runs do you do? Did 4 and one last water pull(Just put water in the Wasching Maschine let it sit 5 minutes then pull)
When I touched the material I still could feel sticky rolling heads…

Hello, washed some outdoor yesterday.
Tried the Vactec wich worked great. Freezed it 3 minutes sifed it to a kitchenscreen. Kept it in the freezer 24h and sifted it again. Can I dry it in the freezer? Got some tips maybe ?

I just did my first washes this season with good results. I’m just wondering how are you guys storing your fresh frozen hash. What I’ve found to work best for me is keeping the losses non greased heads in the fridge in a parchment envelope inside of glass Tupperware. I take out like a gram at a time and press it into a sheet for dabbing. I tried storing in a jar and it just turned into a solid chuck of shatter consistency in the bottom of the jar. Strain is copper chem and it greases super fast at room temp. First pic is the jar that greased and 2nd pic is a flag from the loose heads. Both 90u. The jar was stored in a cellar that’s about 55 degrees but that was too hot

I used 6 oz of out door (trimmed and dried).
there was some trial and error on the first wash but I got two solid washes one I figured put my ice ratio. This is 25-120 screen since it’s just for cooking (mostly). Is it worth going for another wash or two to get another batch of eddies?

I see some people saying that the crescent moon shaped ice isn’t very good for washing with, but I was curious if it really matters? Would the store bought bullet ice work better or does it even make a difference in the yield/quality of the wash?

this weekend I'll wash for the first time. The outside temperature will be 6 degrees Celsius at night. I think that should be cold enough.

The part I'm not sure about is washing the leftovers from the bags between the runs. Will I be fine if I fill some clean watering cans with water in the evening and then use it to clean the bags while washing at night?

​Washing & Processing Workflow

​Equipment: RO System, Graveda washing machine, Deep freezer, BubbleBagDude working bag & mesh screens (160µ, 120µ, 90µ, 73µ, 45µ).

​Pre-Wash Prep: RO water chilled to ~0°C (32°F). Machine layering: Ice, Filled 220µ working bag (~550g WPFF), Ice, 20L RO Water. Soak for 10 minutes.

​Wash Cycles:

​1st & 2nd Wash: 3-5 minutes

​3rd Wash to end: 10 to 15 minutes

​Drying Process: Vac Tech, Freezer, Microplane, Freezer, Daily sifting until the fire test produces a smooth melt with zero sizzle/brizzel.

​Curing (Piattella Style)

​Packing: A custom CNC-milled steel press mold (5x10 cm) lined with Piattella Foil (by Uncles). Fill with dry trichome heads, wrap foil, and apply light pressure to form a uniform brick.

​Curing: Double Vacuum seal the brick and cure in the fridge at 6–8°C (43–46°F) in complete darkness for 3 to 6 months. No opening or disturbing for at least the first 3 months.

​Piattella Wrapping Tip: Any specific tricks to avoid wrinkles in the Piattella foil when lining the mold/wrapping the brick?

​Workflow & Optimization: What can I improve? Did I forget anything crucial in the washing/drying/curing steps?

Alright first time using reddit, I've been looking through posts for a while for advice and tips but decided to join to ask specifics. I'm planning on washing/pressing for the first time, the goal is eventually to make high CBD hash rosin. I got a bag of CBD shake for cheap just to test out the process but learned afterwards that genetics play a huge role in yield. I also saw another post where people were saying CBD strains just don't wash very well. I have questions about specifically White Widow and Critical Mass, I've heard both can wash well and they both come in CBD variants. I can find the CBD versions as seeds or I can buy the normal THC versions as flower. I do want to grow eventually but I don't want to waste money on seeds that won't yield much. Can I jar test the THC flower to get a good idea? Or does the CBD strain have fundamentally different genetics? And is there any other strains I could try looking into that I might be able to find the flower of what I'm actually tryna grow?

It seems like the freeze dryer still boils some terps out anyway and it can't properly freeze the hash once theres no more air to convect the coldness into the material.

i have a question. i am curious if anyone dry sifts the whole nug with sugar leafs after drying? so basically not curing the flower? i assume curing the flower is only to get rid of the hay smell from the flower itself not the trichomes although my flower never smells like hay after drying it always smells real terpy! i want to skip curing if possible and just dry sift in my tumbler. i dont smoke joints i just dab rosin so it makes no sense to keep my triminator mini. lmk and thanks in advance!
