I havent bought the game yet. But I had some videos come up on my feed of people getting super creative with creating tricks in custom maps like this one guy who was doing tricks inside the gta 5 map. Thing is...idc about skating. I love BMX! And have since it was a kid. Dave Mirra and Nolan Nyquist are idols of mine. And I want to take the urban excitement of seeing an obstacle and creatively doing a trick there in an open world landscape. But I also do not enjoy linerarity and would easily get bored of 1 simple map. So my question is: does the game have an online mod community dedicated to making fun maps based on things like gta 5 for example?

Hi all, although this reddit is for a completely different game I hope my attempt on posting this modded childhood game won't offend anyone :D
Managed to model and texture a slightly better bmx bike for Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX PC Version.
Took a day. I found out that all the bikes (except the special one at the end) have the same exact pivot points, same structure etc. What I did is to follow the original game angles with slight tweaks to fix the wobbles the game had. This starter bmx is a bit worn and rusty here and there. But as you progress the bikes get better and better. If I will have time, I will also improve the characters with a higher poly count mesh and of course, the maps, from the 3D elements to the textures. I used and will use 1024x1024 textures because I don't want a 2k - 4k textures for this game, I still want it to feel as it did in my childhood.

If all goes well I might pack everything in a Mod Pack for anyone to install. But I don't have high hopes, as this is insanely time consuming and I have a family and life to be part of :))

PC version of the game running on the retroid pocket 5 using droid deck. It's using all of the default droid deck settings. The game is set to all low graphics settings and a pretty low resolution.

I tried it on my phone (Galaxy S25) and it ran really good at higher settings but the touch controls are insufferable 😂

I play on xbox, and for the longest time my game ran smooth with no hiccups. Recently my game has been crashing when trying to load my mods in. I will start loading a map and it will eventually force quit the game. I decided i would uninstall and redownload to see if that helped, when i got back on i noticed my mod storage was at 3.45GB My mod storage was always 8GB before and i had tons of maps and gear downloaded, but now its less than half still capped to 3.45GB. I uninstalled them all and reinstalled up to my cap, can anybody explain why it has changed?

I have the game on xbox series s and every time I try and open it it says "To use this here, first remove another device", but this console is my only device. I haven't played the game is probably 2 years so I don't know much about it.

Hi guys i have re opened the game but havent played it for years now and i have a problem with the settings my character is doing barspins, tailwhips and all kinda tricks way too fast like i can triple whip flat.. is there a Way to change this ?

Got into bmx streets a couple days ago due to injury, altho I got it running well for a m2 mac air I'm still very inclined onto getting into mods, especialy for the better physics and sounds, defo want more peg sounds for clips like this one😭 but it's harder on macos unfortunatly, does anyone happen to know how to mod on mac safely out here?🤔
