I am working on a documentary about the food industry in Bloomington-Normal. If you are interested in being interviewed, please respond to this post, and I will reach out to you! The food industry is a very corrupt and fascinating place. Any input you may have on the subject would be invaluable to this project.
Hi all! Some of you may remember seeing posts about or attending previous Science on Tap events. I'm excited to announce that Science on Tap is returning this fall! Our next event will be on Monday, October 26, from 6-8 PM at Keg Grove. Feel free to come late!
We'll have three talks on a variety of topics, all of which will be jargon-free and aimed at all ages. Katrina Eberding will tell us about what we can learn from how long infants look at objects, Dr. Suzanne Nolan will do a deep dive on dopamine, and Dr. Wolfgang Stein will talk about brain waves.
There will be a 5-10 minute break between each talk when you can stretch your legs, get a drink from our lovely hosts at Keg Grove, or answer some trivia questions about the presentations. Anyone who answers the trivia questions will be entered into a raffle at the end of the night for some science-themed prizes.
You're welcome to bring food to eat during the event! Hope to see you there (and at our next event on Monday, 11/16)!
This Saturday (Oct. 24th), 4-8pm! Information is on the flyer but there will be snacks and artist talks and opportunities to see into the creative spaces of our MFA students! Please drop by and check it out!
I don’t need the “tour guide” response (constitution trail, local hikes, restaurants). Like what do people actually do for fun here. I can google local restaurants, breweries, hiking trail, movies, and concerts blah blah. I’m looking for actual unique answers.
I’m currently having problems with my living situation so i’ll need to move soon. I have a year old dog that I can’t bring, is there anyway I can get rid of him until I get back on my feet and then claim him back?
